    Italian beef.
    Todd M.

Have seen the instagram posts and want to try it for myself. Not disappointed at all. My family and I ordered a few Chicago dogs and I an Italian beef. All of them came with their fresh cut fries. Hands down the only way to eat fries, IMO. They do a solid job on all of these items. Will definitely be back for some other choices. Corned beef, pastrami, pizza puffs. The staff were great to help navigate the large menu.

Wow! Best hot dogs in the city!! The Rueben and the Italian beef sandwich were amazing!! The Chicago dog and the French fries were unreal! The fries are so fresh and crispy! We loved how everything came with the amazing fries! There is plenty of places to sit. The service was excellent! Friendly staff & chefs that cook everything made to order! There's plenty of places to sit and enjoy! We will be back for sure!!!

Last time I came to this place, I waited almost seven minutes and nobody came out to take my order and I left. This time, their Google says they do takeout at 10 am. It's 10:30 am and they're fully locked up. Update your Google and quick wasting my time. I'm done giving this place a chance. Never returning. Super disappointed on Cubs Opening Day. I'll head over to Windy City Beef & Pizza down the way and stick with old reliable.

Our first time here and was not impressed, I ordered the chili cheese dog which came with fries . The cheese and the hot dog were cold and the chili had no flavor at least the fries were nice and hot . The lady behind the counter was nice and delivered our food and came out to pick up the baskets .

With a drink this is $20

It's been 9 months since my last visit. It has improved. The Italian beef sandwich is still pricey and kind of average at best but it is at least 3 of 5 stars. Fries are still on the so so side. They needed to be cooked longer but that's 1/2 on me they did ask if everything was ok and I probably should have said something. The staff if much better than before, I liked the lady behind the counter a much improvement over the older gentleman that was originally behind counter. POS is set up to default to include a 15% tip, not a fan of that but can be changed. Just know to look for it and tip as you see fit.

1 out of 5 stars What a Disaster I ordered a cheeseburger with a side of pastrami, and somehow that turned into a full blown argument with the cook. He refused to just add the extra pastrami onto the burger only offered an extra patty wouldn't let me pay even extra extra more, and insisted the only way to do it was to order a whole separate sandwich for $13 and then toss the bread. Making the $17 combo meal into a $30 single patty pastrami burger combo meal.... Seriously? When I didn't agree to that nonsense, he got so offended that he cooked the burger into a hockey puck completely burnt, dried out, and into the trash. The 10 fries? I'll let the photo speak for itself. The kid working the register was amazing, but the cook Joaquin customer service was absolutely unbearable. The attitude, the lack of flexibility, the overcooked food everything about this visit was a disaster. To top it off, I still tipped 20%, even though I'll NEVER BE BACK. It's no wonder everyone orders takeout from here anything to avoid dealing with that cook. What a miserable person

I had to make another post regarding Chicago's best, even though I don't prefer the Italian beef. The Chicago dog is so good! It is authentic it has the celery salt, the relish, the peppers, tomatoes it is amazing. I don't have a picture. I'm going back and I will add a picture. Customer service is fantastic and ambience is all Chicago everything I highly recommend for the Chicago dog.

Food was good as well as the service. Ambiance was casual. Tge floor was sticky. The cheese fries had bacho cheese which is not traditional cheese fries.

Came in for a quick weekday lunch, wanting to try their Chicago Dog and Italian Beef! My husband and I ordered at the front and then seated ourselves. It was a busy afternoon as the other tables were taken. It was kind of hard to find by the gas station on the edge of a strip mall. We get our sodas from the fridge and waited about 10-15 minutes before our orders arrived to the table. I got my Chicago dog and I was happy with it, but in my opinion it had heavy mustard application and I was sad it had no peppers so I had to knock a star off! My husband got his Italian beef dipped with cheese. We also got their cheddar cheese sticks to try. The breading on the hand battered cheese was tasty, but the marinara sauce was cold. The fries were well seasoned and hot so it kind of balanced out. I tasted a bite of the beef and its legit just wish for a bigger beef portion since the flavor was good. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive, and provided excellent service with celery salt, ketchup, napkins, and a box to go. Thanks!

As a transplant from IL, finding good food that reminds me of home is always a quest. We have one place in town we love, so decided to try this. I assume the old gentleman was the owner, seems nice, maybe a bit frazzled. He was on the phone trying to figure out where some missing items were while eating behind the counter. The fries appear to be homemade as well as the cheese sticks. The Italian beef was good, but not my favorite version. I asked for it soaked, but it needed a bit more juice. It's a decent place and maybe we will go back and try something else.

As a Chicagoan and now a Las Vegas local, finding the right Chicago food spot is crucial. I don't live that close to this location, so I was debating hard whether or not to come down...until I saw they had a breaded steak sandwich on the menu! Ricobene's is my favorite thing to get every time I go home to Chicago, so to see this on the menu sealed the deal. I got there and it was fairly full, which is a great sign. The vibe felt like home too. The owner was there and was a nice guy. He noticed I was wearing my Mr. Beef tshirt and he told me about his restaurant back home and how it was down the street from Mr. Beef. I got the breaded steak sandwich, onion rings, and a pizza puff. The pizza puff is your standard pizza puff, which is great because it's hard to mess that up. The onion rings were nicely seasoned. My only critique is that batter was crunchy, but I wasn't sure if it was beer battered or not. Now onto the breaded steak sandwich - the flavor was there. Marinara, peppers, and cheese. It's definitely not Ricobenes, but its really close! My only critique is that the cheese wasn't super melty and didn't have the cheese pull I was expecting. Overall, great service and solid food! I'll definitely be back!! I have to try everything else!

Great little spot if you're craving some Chicago food. Chicago hot dog and fries satisfied my crave and the fries are really good. Pizza puff was good too. Prices are fair, service was great. Place is cute and clean. Made me feel like I was back home for a moment. I will definitely be back.

If you're from Chicago, what's wrong with this??

As a true Chicago girl, born and raised in the northwest side of the city (not the suburbs), I walked into Chicago Best Restaurant with high expectations. The name alone set the bar, and their menu looked promising, authentic, familiar, and just what I'd been craving: a good Chicago-style gyro. But as soon as I unwrapped my order (refer to the photo I've shared), I could tell something was off. Any real Chicagoan knows we do not serve gyros with diced onions and tomatoes. That's not how it's done. A proper gyro from the city comes with juicy tomato wedges or slices, and thinly sliced, stringed onions, not a chopped salad on top. The same rule applies to our iconic Chicago-style hot dogs, we don't dice the tomatoes. We wedge them. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in flavor, texture, and authenticity. Another miss? No rotisserie in sight. In Chicago, whether it's on the corner or a 24-hour joint, it has the meat roasting on a spit, spinning and sizzling in full view. Watching the gyro get freshly sliced is part of the experience and the flavor. That's how you know it's real. That said, I did appreciate the friendly service. If you're going to carry Chicago in your name, don't just talk the talk, slice the slice.

Well today brought me to Freddy's because I got an email from them advertising it. I ordered the fish sandwich no sides or drinks and an original burger wrapped in lettuce. The fish sandwich was thin and didn't have much flavor and the price was about $9.69 by itself I kid you not. The burger Pattie's was thin thin with onions and cheese and was around $8.49. Total spent was $19.70 with no fries or drinks. I don't mind paying for good food but this was mediocre and overpriced.

Until we moved to Las Vegas, my girlfriend had brought home some Jollibee. And I was actually kind of excited about it. Then they did that collaboration with the Korean pop group, offering a really great spicy Korean chicken sandwich. That changed the game forever. I wish they still had it, because I would eat that everyday until I exploded. That being said, went back to have some lunch, and checked this place out. Is super clean, plenty of parking, and everything is very neat. When you walk inside, the front counter is right there and ready for you to make your order. Guy behind the counter was okay, not stellar, but okay he got the job done so I have no real complaints about that. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which came with jalapeno and Sriracha mayo. I decided to order some bacon on that as well. I thought this was easily going to be a $20 meal with the addition of the bacon, but I was pleasantly surprised when it came in at under $15. For that $15, I got a sandwich, french fries, a drink, and a mango peach pie. In this day and age of fast food meals costing upwards of $18 to $20 and all you get is a burger frying small drink, this was actually a total surprise. The food itself was hot, not just seasoning, but temperature wise. The fries could have been a little bit hotter, but they were definitely crispy and that's a bonus to me. The flavors on everything were completely balanced, and what a surprise that peach mango pie was! Super tasty and delicious with a very crunchy outer shell. Bottom line? I have totally changed my opinion of Jollibee, and they can consider me a customer for life. One caveat, you got to bring back that Korean chicken sandwich because it was absolutely phenomenal.
