Healthy, fulfilling, good taste and good service. I ordered chicken gyro and chicken bowl

Good food, but everything seems to be a bit more expensive than it should be. I was thinking it would be like a Halal Guys clone, but it's a little different. You can have a bowl or wrap with 3 different bread, Pita, Saj, or Baguette. Bowls have base, options are white or yellow rice, or salad or Greek salad with veggies for $2 extra. I wanted rice and salad as my base, and 2 different meats in my bowl with different veggie options like tomato, cucumber, olives, etc. because I'm a fatty who likes her veggies! I asked the woman working if they do combinations and was told no, so I paid $12 for rice, meat and sauce. The beef shawarma meat was a little dry, but the gyro wrap was good, if a little small. Fries were crispy but nothing amazing, just your basic fries. Spicy Garlic sauce was really tasty, tzatziki sauce was good. They did not have their Sheesh Sauce available to try that day, maybe next time. Skip the minted lemonade, it is crazy sour and mouth puckeringly hard to drink. In fairness, the woman tried to warn me and I declined a sample thinking there was no way it could be that sour. They probably need to add more sugar in there if they're going to call it lemonade. $30 before tip for a bowl, gyro combo with fries & soda, and 1 frozen lemonade. Not awful, but I'll wait a few more weeks before trying again. 2.5 stars rounded to 3 read more

This place is fantastic! We popped in here for lunch for the first time yesterday and we loved it. The food was so flavorful and fresh, and even some of our kids who are picky eaters loved it. We tried all 3 meat options and all were delicious and the pickled vegetables that came with it have me craving them the next day. Food is good here. The food is comparable to some of the better Greek American gyros offered in the DFW. I would definitely say this place has some nice options. As for the menu, this fast casual joint borrows it's menu from halal guys. Overall, would go back. read more

The young worker named Jackson is completely useless. All he does is distract the other workers, while his friends cut the line and get their food first before everyone else who ordered before them. Meanwhile, he made us wait for 5 minutes just to take our order. We've been sitting here for 30 minutes while his friends who walked in 5 minutes ago already received their food. I felt highly discriminated against. The kid should be fired for incompetency. Edit#1 Order just came out totally wrong. I asked if I could make a change to my order as I was ordering and asked him a question to while he replied "yeah..." followed by mumbling. When I asked why my order was wrong, he argued with me saying that he told me what I wanted wasn't possible. Seriously so disappointed after a good first experience. Edit#2 As I walked out, everyone who had ordered after us, still hadnt received their food, while another friend immediately received his food. Yum yum yum. This is some real good, real clean, real simple Mediterranean food in a little strip mall location. The hummus was a little bland but the Falafel wrap was phenomenal. The veggies in the Combo are perfect to cut all the flavors of the Tzatziki, Chicken and yellow rice. read more

Five stars sheesh im at sheesh right now... and im having the best time we are ordering gyro and shawarma

We tried this place 3 times. I would get the chicken shawarma wraps not the beef. The beef is too dry. My issue is the lack of consistency. First time the chicken shawarma was good, the second time wasn't all that. The third time it wasn't good. The chicken was dry and the wraps had too much Mayo we had to throw it out. read more

We wanted something healthy that's wasn't bland and boring and this hit the mark! The man working the register may have been the owner and he couldnt have been nicer. Offered us samples of the juices and let me taste the dips before committing. That's exactly what this foodie looks for in customer service! I ended up with a chicken shawarma plate, turmeric rice, pickled veggies and tzatziki. Hubby got the beef shawarma bowl and we shared a side of hummus and pita. My picky kid was able to get chicky nuggys on the menu and they were actually super high quality and delicious (I know this because I sample his food and call it "mommy tax"). The whole family was happy. The hubs said it was the best hummus he's ever tasted. It was delicious and up there at the top ones but it hasn't taken number one slot for me. Still delicious. The shawarmas were great! I didn't care for the garlic sauce because I have a mayonnaise phobia but y'all would probably like it. The tzatziki was fantastic though! Yum! It's hard to notice this location from custer since it's not right along the street but do yourself a favor and stop here. I don't know what the sauce is on the loaded fries but it's amazing. I think the baba ghanoush is some of the best I had because it's not overpowered with garlic. I will definitely be back again. read more

The food is always great. I love the concept of building bowls like when you go to chipotle or Cava. And the garlic sauce here is exquisite.

I was excited to try this place out. Food was okay. But for the price, I expected better. As a matter of fact, there are competitors that charge the same or less and food is way better. Portion size was good and no complaints there. The worst part of the whole experience had to be the young lady who took our order at the register. She wasn't friendly at all! It's as though we were bothering her. Here is some advice to the restaurant -- when you are new, that means your customers are too. So allow them some time to look over the menu and maybe even help explain it so they can decide on what they'd like to order. Sadly, this was our first & last visit. I've been back a couple times since their initial opening.... It has improved on portion and pricing... still think they can improve on portion of fries, but no biggie. (Gyro is still too small) Food is good and service is appropriate. Chicken is very tasty and my favorite. Very clean restaurant. Friendly. So glad this restaurant is here! Just recently opened. Sheesh has a welcoming staff, with a modern, relaxed & open interior. Husband & I ordered our meal to go. It was a busy dinner rush. We each ordered a gyro pita sandwich combo $11/each - one chicken shawarma & one gyro. And we couldn't pass up the baklava - one walnut & one pistachio. Overall, the pitas were tasty. Good flavors & a nice soft pita bread. But I wish there was a little more meat, a little more vegetables & a little more tzatziki sauce. Even though it was very flavorful, it was missing some dimension, which I think could be easily fixed by adding a little more of everything. The fries had flavor but were basic. The walnut baklava was absolutely delicious, but $4 for a 2-bite sweet seems pricey. I think once Sheesh makes its way through its grand opening, finds its rhythm, and makes a few tweaks, they are going to give other Mediterranean restaurants in McKinney some serious competition. So happy to finally have the chance to eat here. This will definitely be a regular spot especially since it's so close to the house. They have different options from bowls to salads to pitas that will keep you coming back to try different things. There was a twenty minute wait for rice, and several people came in right behind us...I think their wait was longer as a result. The cauliflower wasn't as good as I was hoping, but the potatoes were really good. The sheesh sauce is good too.
