Alex was equally amazing--always knowing exactly when to give direction, encouragement, or a helpful push to get you where you need to be. Together, Joe and Alex have incredible teaching chemistry; they complement each other perfectly, and it truly makes all the difference for the class. The entire experience at this location was also wonderful--welcoming, professional, and supportive from start to finish. This was a huge milestone for me, and finally getting my license means a lot. I ordered an air filter online and received an email from Harley-Davidson stating that my order was ready for pickup at the dealership. I drove about an hour to pick it up, only to be told when I arrived that the part still needed to be "checked in" before they could release it to me, and that I should check back the next day. At first, I tried to be understanding, but the issue is that my schedule makes it difficult to get back out there anytime soon, so this ended up being a wasted trip. The next day, I called Harley-Davidson customer service to better understand what happened. They explained that this was a Buy Online, Pick Up In Store item, which means the dealership showed the part as physically in stock when I placed the order. I then called the dealership and was transferred to the service department, where I waited on hold for about 25 minutes. Eventually, I was told someone from service would call me back, but I never received a call before they closed. The frustrating part is not just that I didn't get the part -- it's that I received a "ready for pickup" email, made the trip, and then couldn't get a clear answer or follow-up. I understand mistakes happen, but the communication and customer service on this order were disappointing. Customer service is an afterthought. Once you're done buying that bike and come back you will be treated like you're at a Walmart. Savor that buying experience boys. Went here to look at bikes, and one of the fitters put me on a Softail Slim to check and I fell in love! They were right, that's 'my' fit. But they took me to go see at least 20 other bikes to sit on and see how they fit. They steered me away from something designed for fast runs and onto a cruiser and I *love* it. their knowledge got me onto a machine that does the tings I want to do. When I go in for service or parts, I see cheerful, prompt service. Everyone is as helpful as they can be when 6 people are at the counter and there's 2 working the counter. Granted there was a delay in the delivery, but since the gutters were still full of small glaciers I wasn't too miffed waiting. There isn't a soul here at Sheldon's I've interacted with that didn't treat me with respect and courtesy and as long as I live here I won't go anywhere else. read more

I bought my first Harley ever here in December of 2019 , a 2020 Road Glide Limited, I had them lower the front forks and I hated it! My mistake my fault, they took back the expensive fork kit and charged me only for labor. Since then I've had them chrome the front end new bars and all service work. The parts and service have been great , no hidden cost and the rewards program is phenomenal! [ ] Long story short don't come here. If you want to get ripped off for thousands of dollars this is your place ladies and gentlemen. Let me explain. I came here in high hopes because my grandfather came here and it's the only real memory I have. Excited to purchase my first Harley. I meet with Bob (great guy) and we pick out a 22 Harley 48 paid about 19k cash out the door and I put a lot of money in it after. Only thing I left stock was the frame. I grew out of it in 4 months and went for a street glide which they offered me an 08 with a 103 (which it's not) and 35k miles on it for 2k more than my brand new bike with it all done up and still owe them money... whatever, i just want to ride so I take it home and am told to come back for a cleaning and a gas tank fill up. I return the next day and my bike starts smoking in the parking lot when I get to Sheldon's. Come to find out the stator and regulator went. They say they'll make it right and take it in the shop. I get it back and it's bucking and has speed wobble around every turn. They take it back and tune it and I get it back still bucking and loss of throttle respone and everyone's telling me my bike is indeed a 96ci not a 103. This point I'm done I got back and ask if they could get me on a bike that's safe and is not gonna get me killed. I find an 09 Dyna and apparently its under 10k and considering I just paid 16 four months ago I'd be good right? Wrong. They tell me that I'd still owe 4k?!?! Why would I still owe if you're taking my trade I ask. The response " we're only giving you 6k for the bike". I was furious. I have never felt more cheated in my life. To think they'd treat a veteran like this is disgusting. I was completely robbed. read more

Here is my review of Sheldon's. First a little about me. I'm a harley rider and owner for more than 25 years. I have an antique harley and a recently paid off 2016 ultra. I'm a business owner and professional mechanic and my cars and bikes are well cared for in my 40x50 garage. I had a terrible car accident almost a year ago and was deciding if I wanted to sell my ultra or upgrade it to ride once I recovered as a result. I spoke with Tony on Wednesday April 27th and Sheldon's was very interested in my trade. I decided to wait as I was still not well or able to ride and On Tuesday June 28th I reached back out to Tony via text and asked if they may be interested in buying the ultra as a cash sale with no trade. They asked me to bring it down and the very next day I did and they had a personal look up close at the bike. I told them I wanted 15k for the bike and they offered me 13k. As this was less than what I wanted to get I told them I would think about it. The next day I called and spoke to Tony and asked him if they would be willing to go to 14k. He said wait until the last day of the month had passed and he could probably get me to 14k. I called him back on the July 1st as instructed and Tony told me he spoke with his boss and they wouldn't do 14k but were firm on the 13k. I accepted the lowball offer and told them I would be there July 2nd Saturday to do the exchange and drop the bike. I washed the bike but no riding occurred other than the ride back and forth from Spencer to Auburn to Sheldon's. When I arrived the morning of Saturday the 2nd I pulled the bike up and took the plates off and went inside for the planned paperwork meeting. When I asked for Tony I was told he went to home depot and then someone else went out to look at the bike. He took the paperwork and more people went out and looked at it. Then the sales manager came up to me and said they couldn't do the 13k originally offered. He had no explanation for the chang e in value and no apology for wasting my time. I put the plates back on and left and for all of my future harley purchases I will certainly take my business elsewhere. This was a discouraging experience as this is my local harley dealership and right across the street from a friend's biker bar I frequent regularly. read more

Was told it would be ready to ride the next day and at the latest Saturday (2 days after purchase) spoke to salesman said he would check on it, never got a return call. Called again same story, went down in person was just brushed off. Called again on Monday at 3 pm finally got a return call at 5:30 saying he didn't know the status of my bike because the "girls upstairs" left at 5. Sheldon's Harley Davidson's service department is just terrible as far as customer service...no calls with estimates even when requested and documented with bike drop off, ridiculously outrageous mark up for parts and labor...sometimes for parts you do not need..far reaching repair times...unbelievable wait times for bike return even in off season although you diligently check in...then bike not repaired...need for multiple visits to get issues addressed properly. $$$$$$$. Bought a bike from sheldons brand new. Salesman kept leading me on that i was gonna get a great deal. Kept leading me on every time the next steps were happening. I was there for like 5hrs. I put 5k down cash and at the end of it all i had to pay all sales tax and service plans and that was my whole 5k. I told then what i wanted to pay a month and they were like "yeah yeah we got you no worries" I should of been a little smarter but i wanted my dang harley lol. My monthly payment ended up being 100$ more my 5k down felt like a wash. Got my bike delivered with no gas. Check engine light was on. Left blinking connection works on and off. This is the fifth bike I've purchased from Sheldon's. The first one was when they were at the old location in Worcester. As they say the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. I always compare prices at other dealers before making a purchase. The long and short is sheldons works hard to get your deal done. No smoke and mirrors. They generally have knowledgeable sales staff and decent managers. My latest salesman jay was great. Said and did everything he was supposed to. I was a cash buyer so no finance headaches. They are close to me and always do what they say. They haven't been in business since the 20s for no reason. read more

I'll never do business with Sheldon's again. Not only was I overcharged by $2-3k for the used bike I bought, they sold me the worst Harley Davidson and last Harley Davidson I'll ever own. When I bought it, it needed a few things repaired, they "fixed" 1 of the things (it was a fuel gauge replacement when really it needed a new tank float) they said they replaced the front break but had to bring it back again 30 days later to get it replaced for real. Then the motorcycles engine just turned off when driving it home from the dealership. Straight engine failure. They tried to diagnose it and couldn't. It's had the same problem the whole 3 years I've owned it. The final straw for me is this bike was found to have been in an accident when I brought it to a different Harley dealer, they told me the lower frame was cracked like it had been rear ended and the break master cylinder needed to be replaced. I noticed it looked painted over but it was a cover up job. I've had this bike in the shop for repairs twice a year, for 3 years and have to dump over $2000 into just repairs. Now I have to sell it because in sick of fixing it but the bikes not worth anything because they sold it to me for $14,000 when it should have been sold for $11,500 tops and hit me with a 10 percent interest rate for 6 years (I have over a 750 credit score). Needless to say 3 years later the bikes still worth less then I owe. So as I say my final farewell to the bike and try to sell it back to Harley for a final shot in the wallet. I needed to share my Sheldon's Harley experience. Don't be fooled, the salesman are great and very friendly, but who ever runs the numbers and ensures quality control of the motorcycles is a crook. My oldest bike, a 91 Heritage Softail needed a back tire (This was one of the two bikes of which I bought from these guys). I called and was told they no longer work on bikes older than 2000!. This has been the worst experience ever!!! My bike has been there for two months and I can't even get a simple call back or a status update from one person without having to get vulgar and lose my shit on the phone for them to finally listen. Not a single person at this dealership is well guided nor do they really seem to give a shit about anything to do with customer service or the customer experience. I've now been CALLING AND EMAILING every other day being told that my bikes going to be ready and then every time I call it's not. The service manager Lou said he was taking over my "file" -the one they can never find but even that hasn't changed this experience much. Call me stupid for going back. A few years ago I vowed to never go back because the service was so poor. There was a recall to flush the brake fluid and I brought it there. This weekend when my rear brakes stopped working I noticed the cover to my rear brake master cylinder was on backwards. Most of the brake fluid leaked out. Nice work. I bought my bike there back in June 2014. Got a good deal, not a great deal but the bike is very nice, 2011 Road King w/ 1543 miles on it. I did buy into their service plan but me not being a mechanic, I'd rather have the "peace of mind". I've already used the service plan for my first oil change and general bike check point, everything is good, and there was no charge as I"m on the plan. Service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. I also took my Riding Class there which I highly recommend to anyone who is new to riding. Customer Service can make or break a business, even if you have a great product. My husband wanted a stereo system for his bike for Christmas. Not only did the guys in the parts department help me to figure out the one he wanted but got it in a matter of days so I had it in time for Christmas. Not a big deal so far, right? The thing is when there was no way for me to get all the way to the store to pick it up before closing, Ryan offered to meet me after work and delivered it! I was at Sheldons for a bike run when I witnessed a sales associate selling a motorcycle to one of the guys going on the ride. The sales person didn't seem to have any answers for the guy. She then went to retrieve help from her manager. I assume she is new and needed guidance. While watching the process I noticed the manager spitting on the aground in the area they were in and as he walked back into the dealership. I didn't think that was very respectful. The rest of my visit was nice, the girls in clothing were nice and the dealership was very clean considering the big turn out for the bike run. read more

Do not buy from Sheldon's Harley Davidson of Auburn Massachusetts. I am a life member of HOG, I have owned several Harleys, and have been riding one for 30 plus years. Last week, I was on a long trip over 800 miles from home and had a flat tire on one of my other bikes. I had few choices to get it fixed so I called Sheldon's HD to pick me up. Once they realized I happened to be on an Indian this time, Lou- "Alphonso" the service manager would not give me a new tire. He gave me all kinds of excuses and justified his awful behavior by saying that I had an attitude so that's why he wouldn't change it. The truth is, I was in a great mood when I first arrived because I had found an oasis along the highway where I could get help. I called them because I thought bikers always helped other bikers. Not at Sheldon's HD! So much for the "brotherhood" of bikers. What Lou did not know was there were seven other riders with me, four of which were on Harley Davidsons and the others have also owned Harleys in the past. What's more, I was thinking about buying another bike. Not anymore, I am done with Harley Davidson. I'm tired of the bull.
