On June 22nd, I dropped off my 2012 Prius at the Shell station at 12151 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852 for an overheating issue. I texted Chris, the service manager, at 8 AM to ask for a diagnostic quote. He said $150 and mentioned the engine might need replacing. I immediately told him not to do any work--I would pick up the car. Over an hour later, Chris sent photos of the car on a lift. I again told him no repairs without an estimate and my written approval. No estimate was ever provided. On June 24th, he called and said the car was ready and I owed $300 for unauthorized work. I picked up the car, drove it less than two hours, and the coolant completely leaked out. The engine overheated to 250°F. I returned the car that night. On June 25th, Chris said it would be inspected. Two days later, he claimed it needed a head gasket, then later blamed low antifreeze. In four days, I received three inconsistent diagnoses, paid $300 for unapproved, ineffective repairs, and lost a week without my car. The issue remains unresolved. Chris acted dishonestly and performed unauthorized work--a clear violation of Montgomery County repair laws. This Shell station is untrustworthy and poorly managed. I strongly advise others to stay away. read more

The owner of the body shop is Chris and I cannot tell you how much work he did on my BMW X5 and how fair he was pricewise. Forget about going to BMW (if your car is out of warranty) as not only does he do just as good of a job but probably better and half the price. Bought a mustang that needed an engine, Chris was excellent in the finding and installing a low mileage engine, awesome, it was a big job, they stayed on budget and on time. 2012 Mustang: complete engine replacement 3 years ago, still running strong. Both our daughter's cars, 2010 and 2013 Toyotas. I trust them to ensure my daughters safety. I also take my 2016 Mazda for service to his station as needed. He does it all and does it well. Great mechanics and great service at a reasonable price. I don't go anywhere else. Chris listens and stand by his work.
