This is one of my favorite places to get dinner on my way to work. The best way I can describe it is that it's like Panda Express except it's cheaper, you get more food, and it tastes better. The guys that work the front are always friendly, and if you go there regularly they always recognize you. Pros: Great food (it's not like what you would get at a fancy Chinese restraunt, but it tastes good and well worth the price), huge portions, takeout of buffet-style, friendly staff that work hard to keep their customers happy and the place clean! The food is good whether you're eating it fresh or as leftovers. Cons: it's kind of cramped and not much seating, it can also get pretty warm in there. Recommended Food: orange chicken, sweet sour chicken, teriyaki chicken. The garlic fried chicken is really good in my opinion, but my folks say it's kind of bland (it's always crispy on the outside but super juicy on the inside, so I can't complain). The chowmein and fried rice is average, but if you leave it for a day in the fridge and let it marinate in its own juices, then it gets really tasty. So when you eat the buffet you walk in grab a plate and have at it... Nothing new until today... So I go to the one on country club by Safeway. Their food is always hot. If you order for pick up on their soups, it's ready when you get there and still very hot. The ladies there are very polite. They have you in and out check them out. read more

This place is seriously such a steal! You can not beat $6.95 for buffet. The Buffet is very limited but they have the basics of Chinese food. They also have food you can order on the menu such as honey walnut prawns. The honey walnut prawns was $5.95 and it was just as good as the ones I pay $13.95 for... I can't get over the price lol the portion was really good too. I ordered to go, and she gave me soooooo much food that some fell out the box! lol I had lunch AND dinner and it still looked like I just went and bought a 3 item, that's how much food I got. The food was like a luxury Panda Express, but even better! Me and a group of 5 sat down for a dinner buffet since we figured why not since the price was just $7. I tried pretty much every entree they had and it was pretty fresh and cooked very well! We will definitely be back in the future. We do wish that they had more options esp with beef and seafood options, but hey, if it's a $7 meal we will take what we had each time. We watched many people come in to get orders to-go, and they do stuff their plates with food. We stopped by here after a weekend of camping and hours of driving. We still have a bit of a drive home and we're both hungry. Place is small but clean and busy. It was a weekday dinner. We got confused at first on how things are done. There's only one serving area for both the buffet and to go. There was a good variety of food, servant was very attentive. I loaded up with the cream cheese Rangoon, fried chicken, shrimp and spring rolls. It really did hit the spot for Chinese food. Love it. Too bad it's a far drive from us. My family and I were going to get something to eat (Subway) before grocery shopping at Safeway. It's not best to grocery shop on an empty stomach. Haha! We stayed inside to eat buffet style. You can also get it to go. It's a small Chinese restaurant with maybe 6-7 tables. The owner is very nice and kept checking on us. The girl even refilled our drinks before it got low. Business was pretty good for just opening up 5 days ago. The door never really stayed shut because customers kept coming in! My family and I will definitely be back or order food to go! The only thing I didn't like was that their spacious bathroom didn't have a changing table for babies/toddlers. It's the end of November. So the weather is cold & rain is coming in... sucks that I had to change my son's diaper in the back of my SUV before we ate because he wouldn't have been comfortable in the restaurant. The food at Sherman's 2 is pretty darn good. Only issue I have is the chow mein noodles being so fat and over cooked, other than that every other dish is perfect. So glad he opened this store closer to me so I don't have to go to Waterloo wearing my bullet proof vest. 5 stars for that alone. The place is so small I don't think even 20 people can fit in there. My friends and I wanted to check out the other shermans. We love the food at shermans on Waterloo. We got a bonus today because we ran into elite helper Dale N. Great to meet a fellow helper. The food is cheap, fresh and cooked expertly. They have a great selection and the shrimp usually comes out after 4 pm. If you get the to go specials, know they fill the container with food. I give this place a solid 5 star!! The Won Ton Soup is Killahs!! So super good. Has so much shrimp made like old school won ton how they used the cleaver to chop the shrimp then mix with the meat. It's Chinese fast food buffet which is wonderful from time to time. Prices are unbeatable for what you want. My husband & I get 2 2 item Togo's & share & we are always stuffed & happy.
