Stumbled upon this place and I already cant wait to go back for more! This is probably one of few places in the bay area that serves the roast fish in a trough with a warming tray. You can pick different flavor sauces/broths and you can add additional sides It generally comes with some veggies, but I usually add some noodles and tofu. If it comes with potatoes, it's AMAZING. they are basically like fries but it soaks up all the flavors of the sauce/broth. The roast fish comes with 2 fish, so make sure to have a big party! First off, my partner did the ordering as this is somewhat similar to her hometown food and I'm unfamiliar. Therefore, I might be butchering some of the menu items ordered. My partner ordered the Crawfish & Fish pot, adding in Beef Tripe and Veggies. She told me it was 3lb each, and let me tell you...it's A LOT. But of course, we demolished it because it was pretty darn good. We ordered the garlic flavor one and the soup was delicious. She did put some add-ons (Beef Tripe and Veggies), but the amount was super limited. We could barely fish out any tripe from underneath the pile of crawfish and fish. I would advise not to order add-ons as it seems to be a rip off based off the price you pay. I also ordered the buckwheat cold noodles, which is similar to the cold noodles in Korea. While not a bad eatery to be sure, they're somewhat new to the block and, as my friend described it, is "unabashedly Chinese". The staff's command of English is *very* limited, so even if their digital menu has some English it's not too friendly for folks that aren't as familiar with what to expect (the paper menu for instance was entirely in Chinese). The menus are a bit confusing and it's a tad expensive, but food quality wasn't too off the mark and the seafood was reasonably fresh. They did nail the fried fish texture pretty well, so at the very least you'll get a solid fried fish out of the meal. Most menu offerings don't really have descriptors so sauce options like "Chinese Spicy" and "Special Forces Combat Pot" are as opaque as they sound. Maybe it's a mainlander thing I'm just not aware of...? The staff were welcoming and friendly and service was generally pretty good, but even so it was hard to get a detailed explanation of what each option meant. As far as menu notes, the side dishes are actally things they throw into the entree grill as the fish base is a bit bare bones We opted for the Grilled Fish 2-4 Person Set with their "Chinese Spicy" at Hot (or at least I think we did). This seemed to be loaded up with a whole lot more seafood than I had originally thought, but it turned out reasonably fresh. We added on the combination vegetables and some rice. That turned out to be enough for two. The fish's deep fried texture plus the grilling flavor were pretty on point, so kudos to them for that. Nicely crunchy on the outside and staying pretty moist on the inside. Generally speaking the seafood in the grill were pretty fresh, except for the shrimp which seemed more 'meh' so we avoided those pieces. The extra veggies combo was indeed needed to add a bit more volume to the meal though their seasoning was pretty bare bones in of themselves. The fish seemed better off with the soup base given it's subtle flavor, but the added veggies needed a bit more help. Not my typical eat, but a decently good one if you're willing to pay a premium. Might not be too smooth if you don't have a Chinese patron with you though, so a little caution there. read more

This is the third time I ate at this place, and just tried their new grilled fish item, the portion is a little big for 2 ppl, but should be enough for 3-4 ppl. The rice noodle is too soggy cause it's been soaked in the soup and they lighted up candles at the bottom of the plate to keep the dish warm, that means the noodle being cooked all the time. Their menu is in English and Chinese so just ask help if ever you check their menu on the app if the writing is in Chinese but you cannot read it since there is a way to convert it to English on your app and on the server's tablet. I am allergic to shrimp so when I told the server named Cindy about it, she said it can be customized without shrimp or replace the shrimp with another meat or egg. The ambience inside was clean and nice. Very organize. Bathroom is clean too. I was allowed to bring my daughter's birthday cake and the manager offered to refrigerate it and will bring it out once we are ready for my daughter to blow out the candles on it. They provided very good service. My guests loved all their foods. Also, they are the only Chinese Restaurant open between 2pm to 5pm while all other Asian Restaurants are closed between 2pm to 5pm. This restaurant is open Monday thru Thursday from 11am to 11:30pm and open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11am to 2am the next day. It plays music inside.
