    Located at Grand Central market the Korean style grilled chicken was fire ! It did take 30 minutes to get my food which is BRAZY WORK. I was like damn they really went out grab a lil bird, whacked him , threw him on da grill, and served me. I damn near walked out but in the end it was worth it. Tree stah'

    A few weeks back my wife and I made another trip to the Grand Central Market to try another one of the stalls. Up next was a spot we've been wanting to try since day one, Shiku! This stand has some of the most appetizing looking plates on display that I seriously don't know what took us so long to actually place an order. I knew what I wanted before I even approached the counter and that was an order of the Korean fried chicken, though I made the mistake of NOT picking spicy so they weren't completely covered in sauce. The food itself looked super appealing when I sat down and it was a beautiful mix of white rice, vegetables, and the chicken. The chicken was hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside, just the way it should be. The taste was solid, though I do regret not getting the sauced up version but I guess i'll have to save that for next time. Overall, Shiku is a fantastic place to have inside of the Grand Central Market and one I'll be returning to in the future. The service was friendly, the food was made fast, and the taste left me wanting some more. Big thumbs up!

    I had the fried kimchi rice and my husband had the braised pork belly plate which was bigger but he wasn't full at the end of the meal. The food was just okay -- nothing to write home about. The portions were pretty small, and the flavor was decent but not memorable. I've had much better Korean food elsewhere, so I probably won't be coming back.

    Stopped by for a quick lunch snack at grand central market. They have lots of examples of food on the counter but I wanted to try the Korean fried chicken. These are boneless popcorn chicken, kinda like the Taiwanese popcorn chickens you can get at boba places but with a more Korean taste. It was juicy and crispy and just right for the price.

    Excellent Korean place inside Grand Central Market next to Eggslut. I had the Fried Spicy Korean chicken bowl. It was a good portion for $14 and tasted really good. The service was fast - food came out in 5 minutes.

    Shiku is in the bustling Grand Central market. You can sit anywhere you can find a table in the market. Food was relatively quick. It took about 12 minutes for me to get my lunch. I like the banchan they included. The meal was sizable, although it was mostly white rice. I sort of wish that they had more sauce if they were going to give me that much rice since the rice was bland. But the chicken was tasty.

    We came here on a weekday and the food took a little long from when we ordered to the time we got it, at least over 10 minutes. We ordered the chicken rice bowl. The food was fine, but it tasted mainly like fried chicken and was a bit salty. We asked for and egg and also for gojujong sauce on the side and it was fine but it also tasted like sweet chili sauce. For almost $20, it was on the pricier side. Not sure I would come back.

    solid korean rice bowls, but you have to get them spicy (don't worry it's not really spicy)! i loved the temple tangsu with fried mushrooms as a vegan option, they were full of flavor and very crispy. my friend got the regular, not spicy, option and they were pretty dry, so i recommend getting them saucy. the rice bowl comes with three sides of banchan, which i think change daily, and are a nice touch! wait was around 10 minutes, so not bad, i would come back!

    Oh man, the food took foreeeeeeevvvveeeerrrr. Over 25 minutes, for this one plate. They said it would take ten. They lied. Everyone else already ordered elsewhere, received their orders, and ate before this small portion even came out. It's $14 + $1.50 for the fried egg. Definitely a small portion if you're hungry. You'll need a side. The taste was fine, nothing to write home about. If you're here with a bunch of people, or coming as a tourist, try somewhere else if you're looking to be impressed.

    Another great spot in Grand Central Market! The kimchi pork belly was delicious and I really enjoyed how tender the pork was. The rice was well seasoned and the veggies on the side paired well with the meal.

    This small KBBQ spot inside Grand Central Market serves up some really fresh, crispy Korean fried chicken. I tried the small spicy chicken, which came coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The cashier wasn't sure of the exact sauce, but I believe it was a gochujang-based sauce. While the chicken was crispy and tasty, I was hoping for a bit more of a bold sweet and spicy kick. They offer a variety of other items, so I'll definitely be back to try something new!

    At first I thought this place was a Japanese joint, but no it's Korean. It is located at Grand Central Market and that place is a total vibe! It is a small little spot and they have a good centralized small menu. It takes about 15mins to get you food if you order a chicken dish. If you order the Kalbi, it takes 20min or so. Maybe order online and pick it up. The food was good, prepared well. I had the KFC Spicy bowl. With the vast selection of Korean food in LA, I would not say it was the best I have ever had, but quite tasty. Prices are great and within range. I am a big Kbbq guy and enjoy the time and community cooking on the grill. I would definitely return because I work down the street.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
