I've been a long time fan of Shintos back when the opened in Strongsville. This visit was amazing!!! It was packed at the hibachi tables so the manager John brought us to an amazing booth where he attended to absolutely every whim, need and request. He went above and beyond in every aspect. I've never had a bad Shintos dish, but John made every dish special. He even got me a dish that wasn't on the menu anymore. Reinvented my martini over and over until it was just right. Because of John and the entire experience Shintos isn't an option to return to; it is a must!

Rating 2.5 stars Wanted something light and quick to eat with my dinner and found this place on the map near by my hotel. This restaurant is huge and has parking space. I ordered via phone and it was so loud on the other end. Got spicy salmon roll $8.50 and yellowtail roll $7.75 for to go. Each order comes with 6 pieces. Food was ready sooner than expected. Fish seemed fresh enough but the portions were very small while the price was ridiculously high. 6 small pieces of roll for about $8 which is equivalent to about $1.50 a piece, that's insanely expensive!!

No service. Sad that you have to beg to get waited on. We came here to have drinks, appetizers, and dinners. It was early and not busy. Usually eating up at the bar you get fast friendly service. Food is great just wish the service was more attentive. Sometimes when you're not acknowledged you feel judged. My friend had to get up and get her to go box. People waiting for a table got drinks and service faster than the ones waiting for at least one bit of service. But the food is so delicious. Maybe next time take out.

I had a great experience here, went for a quick bite & sat at the bar. The place is pretty big with a fun vibe. The bartender was very nice & friendly. And food came out pretty fast - it was a Monday night. The fish was fresh and the dishes looked beautiful. I got salmon and also yellowtail hand roll, both were good. The salmon sashimi also came with good pieces of fish.

I've eaten & drank here several times since they opened; i can most certainly recommend their sushi (great presentation) , as well as their drinks (strong, and tasty), but the last time was our 1st time at the HIBACHI! btw- the general service throughout is very high quality, great service & ambiance. Anyhow, the flavors of the Hibachi are impressive; strongly recommend the Fried Rice, salad & any of the Chicken or Shrimp. It's not cheap, but i do think it's worth it !

This was our second visit to Shinto. We loved it the first time and it certainly didn't disappoint this time. The young man we had as our server was very welcoming and very attentive, without being annoying. We ordered the Miso Surprise sushi roll as our starter. It was SUPER TASTY!!!! My husband had the Tuna Poke Bowl and I had the Steak and Shrimp Combination plate for our entrees. Both were delicious!!! And each entree has a very generous amount of food! I can't recommend Shinto Japanese Steak House enough!!!!

The sweet potato roll was really delicious, and the other rolls came beautifully presented with dry ice, which made me excited even before tasting them. The place had fun music, friendly service, and beautiful presentation -- I really enjoyed the rolls. But I was a bit disappointed with the hibachi and other kitchen dishes; the chicken tasted more boiled than grilled, and the noodles lacked flavor.

How much is it to sit at the hibachi tables? I went to wasabi before and there was a charge

Sitting at the habachi was included in the cost of the hibachi meal.

It could be the distance, but that's no excuse since the freeways don't see traffic like the heavily trafficked cities in America. It's also that it's provincial! I was visiting a friend who lives in this very community on the west side and, since we sometimes visit the same restaurants, I dug up Arashi, located across the street from manicured Stepford-centric Crocker Park. Crocker Park is not a park, but a somewhat upscale mixed use retail-office-residential development. Arashi is a long-standing Japanese restaurant. I suggested it in part because I don't often eat Japanese food. Also, my friend has a few dietary restrictions and I am not a nutritionist. Eating Japanese food for lunch met with approval. As for me, I just avoid the few things I've known to have a negative effect on my digestive system as well as spicy food, the latter of which I flat out despise. They feature sensible lunch combinations. One can pick from the hibachi section of the menu or the regular section. We chose the exact same thing - hibachi chicken lunch - except that my friend had the mushrooms omitted. The chicken platter comes with rice and vegetables as well as soup. I also ordered the tea service. The latter is not free of charge like it might be in some Chinese restaurants. All of the food was very tasty. As for the soup, we ordered the miso soup and the onion soup. My onion soup was delicious. The problem, with which my friend concurred, is that the soup bowls were small. I could have had three times that amount of soup. I could have eaten more of everything! There is portion control at work. The interior of the restaurant is simple and tasteful, with only small hints of ethnic flavor. The regular restaurant is outboard by the windows, the room with the hibachi grill is inboard, and there is a bar between them. They have sushi and there are people who will order that, but I'm not one of them. The service was polite and got the job done. The pricing for the lunch specials seemed about right. My friend, who has lived in Europe for years as well as Asia for a few months, said arashi meant something but forgot to follow through. I looked it up and arashi means a storm or a tempest. From my L.A. days, I only know about 20 or 30 Japanese words, two of which have to do with climatic or geological matters - yuki and jishin. Yuki means snow and some Japanese women have this name. Jishin packs a meaner punch - it's an earthquake. So, rather than experiencing a jishin, I'd rather weather a fictitious storm (arashi) here and have a reliable low-key Japanese lunch.

I visited Kintaro Sushi and Hibachi for the first time on Sunday, 18 August 2024 in the late afternoon with my friend and fellow Yelper, Dr. Antonio P. FOOD -- They specialize in AYCE (All You Can Eat) Sushi and Hotpot. When I entered the restaurant, I noticed some yummy fried rice with steak and shrimp so maybe I'll order that next time, if I visit Kintaro again. I came to try the 'All You Can Eat' hotpot (soup) lunch for $17.99. You can eat as much as you want for 2 hours. They can charge extra for food waste so don't order too much. For their hotpot all you can eat, you are given a menu to mark off what you want added to your soup. I can't remember if I chose a pork based broth or a chicken broth but I think it was pork-based. The hotpot came with some beef strips (rolled up), ramen noodles, and cilantro. The broth didn't look as fresh as I would have liked when my food was initially brought to me but after adding the ingredients to the soup, it tasted fine. My soup needed flavour as it was bland so I had to stand up and go to the back of the restaurant to get some chili oil and sauces so that I could add that to my soup. When my food was brought out, it was actually a lot for 1 person so I don't remember finishing my soup. I did add all the ingredients into the hotpot and ate enough of it that I wasn't charged extra for food waste. Overall, the hotpot is decent. Customer service was friendly and efficient. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 114/250 total reviews in 2026 - 955 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 June 2026

When we got sat, it took around 15 minutes for a server to greet us and when she did, the energy shifted. I understand people have bad days but the tip percentage is decided upon the quality of service. A bitter attitude and a lack of attention is not the usual expectation when dining out. When our appetizer arrived, disappointed accompanied it. The Bang Bang Shrimp has always been a crowd favorite; this time around it was burnt yet soggy pieces of shrimp. The sauce was enveloped by the taste of frying oil, causing the flavor to be bitter. By the time our entrees arrived, morale was at an all time low but the first bite of my roll made up for it. The Ichiban roll is unique- asparagus with spicy salmon and yellow tail may sound bizarre but it works. I've come to the conclusion that Sakana is purely a sushi restaurant. I have never been displeased by the quality and flavor of the sushi. Henceforth I will be ordering off the sushi menu and I recommend you do the same.
