a plate of food on a table

Persian food to delight the taste buds. Dinner for two at a very reasonable price with more than you can eat. Flavours were distinctive, meats, including the chicken, were moist, tender, cooked to perfection. No assembly line here, cooked to order and it shows. A trip from Mission to Langley and well worth it. Two thumbs up!!!

I've had a fair amount of Persian food, especially having lived in Ottawa for several years. It has been difficult finding a restaurant here in Metro Vancouver that provides incredible cuisine in a beautiful space. Shiraz Grill fills that void. My entire meal was top notch. The chicken and koobiyeh were seasoned perfectly. The rice was light, yet flavourful. Their house made balsamic dressing on the mixed greens was also a nice way to lighten up what is traditionally a heavy meal. Cannot wait to return!

Persian cuisine in Langley! Driving down the one way section of Fraser 'Highway' recently and noticed this new restaurant in what used to be a kitchenware spot. 'Persian and Italian cuisine' said the sign. I had to try it and came back a few days later. Had the soltani kebab, which was one kebab of the ground beef/onions and one steak. Preferred the steak, in fact I may get 2 kebabs next time of the steak! Wonderful char and seasonings. The long grain basmati rice was topped with saffron and so fluffy and tasty. House salad was average but worth noting was the caesar salad came with capers and shaved parm. House wine was ok. Would like to see some local craft beers on the menu instead of the generic adjunct lagers. Dessert was a house made chocolate cake with a scoop of also house made saffron ice cream!!! Yum! Check it out folks, try it!!

Too expensive for my budget but the food quality was too good. Everything was very presentable. It tasted fresh n yummy. Hand picked decor items n infact the owner informed us that they use organic stuff for everything from meat to vegetables ( reason for being expensive) They need to talk an extra step in customer service. Everything else is fine but they lack that welcoming smile n feel good factor about customers n for customers. I tried shrimp appetizer which was basically 5 shrimps with 5 crackers for $18 . Couple i went with tried grill plates of meat with rice which was a full meal with full price on it $35. So just as i said overpriced . They have collection of liquor n teas. Few options in deserts. Washrooms are spacious n clean n well prepared with toiletries. Wasn't too busy as everyone was celebrating canada 150th birthday. But otherwise its busy place n they recommend booking in advance.

    Chenjeh kabob. $16.99

If I was to have one place to choose to have every dinner at, it would be this one. Shiraz restaurant is a clean and friendly place. The food was spectacular. I ordered the Chenjeh kabob, which was so tender and juicy along side the oh so good tahtziki that Fred the owner made himself. I would definitely recommend this place if anyone is in the neighborhood and loves to try different types of bbq'd meat. Persian style of course. We drove a half hour to get to this place and I would drive longer if I had to. Go and enjoy.

The dinner combo for two $68. A good sampling of lots of options!! Beef/lamb, chicken, steak, prawns.

Ordered a dinner for two at $68. Included two beef/lamb kebabs, one chicken kebab, one steak kebab, and prawns. Included rice and salads and grilled tomatoes. The meal was very flavourful. The chicken was perfectly cooked, moist and extremely tender. The steak was my favourite though. Very tasty, marinated with unique flavours. The ground beef/lamb was also delicious, as were the prawns. We ended up having to take one full beef/lamb kebab home as it was too much to eat. The meal included a Persian style rice, which was yummy, but I enjoyed pairing the meats with the salad. Really nice ambiance for Langley! The restaurant is nicely appointed, and the experience was wonderful. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is a nice treat!!

We know Fred from meditalia in Surrey and he made the best donairs and sauces. He told us he was going to open Shiraz grill and invited us over. We decided to make the long trip for lunch. I had the lamb chops and my brother had tenderloin strips. I have to say, this place puts all other Persian restaurants to shame. It was simply cooked to perfection. Everything was perfect from the sauce to the salad. We live in downtown and when we want to eat Persian, Greek or Italian we will take the trip to Langley and eat right. Everywhere else we tried here in downtown or north Vancouver for Persian food sucked. You owe it to yourself to at least try it once. You will not regret it. Trust me, cause I'm a really picky eater.

Great Persian food and the Italian entree was delicious! Service was warm and friendly and the food was on point !

Sorry for the blurry photo. Shiraz is a beautiful restaurant. It is classy, elegant and comfortable.

Shiraz is a brand new restaurant in Langley and we decided to try it tonight. I look for 3 important aspects when I go to restaurants: quality of food, ambience, and service. I have to say, this restaurant is beyond my expectations. The food was excellent. I especially loved their lamb chop, the meat was tender and perfectly grilled and generous with their quantity for a great price. Their tables and seats, dinner ware and overall decor is beautiful, comfortable and classy. I especially love their choices in music, it really ties the restaurant together. Service was quick and friendly. I found it very easy to talk to the waitresses and waiters. They're always smiling, being polite and on their toes.

One of the "noticeable" omissions in the restaurant menu was that the dishes "barely" had any semblance of vegetables added in them -which was disappointing to vegetarians like us. Further with the general trend nowadays for more vegetarian dishes, I believe Olive Garden should have a Separate Vegetarian Menu & offer well known italian vegetarian dishes likes , Cauliflower Au Gratin, Penne Paste baked with spinach & cheese, Plain Spaghetti baked with cheese & flavoured with gorgonzola cheese, Baked Eggplant etc. Also Meditteranian Pizza, with olives, bell peppers, gorgonzola cheese, jalpenos, onions , tomatoes should be introduced & also available as a calazone. I believe these dishes will enhance the variety & tastes for customers. Lastly Veg Pannini Sandwiches with fries should be introduced as another dish. I hope the Management of Olive Garden Restaurant considers these suggestions

Somehow their system glitched and texted us with a message saying that our place in line was canceled, but when we called in to ask why it got canceled, they said they weren't sure why it happened, but our table would be ready in 18 minutes, so we started heading over from Willowbrook Mall. However, when we got there about 18-20 minutes later, they said our table wasn't ready yet and it would be at least another 15 minutes. Their system is clearly dysfunctional and disorganized. We wasted a significant amount of time for something that should have been time saving and straight forward. Now on with the actual dining experience. We enjoyed their breadsticks, although we did find they had less butter and seasoning on them than before. Their chicken gnocchi soup was satisfying. I enjoyed their chicken masala dish. I enjoyed both fruity ice tea options that they offered. However, neither of them had distinctive flavors. I left very full and had leftovers. Our server was attentive, but not overbearing. The glitches with the reservation were terrible and because of that lowered my rating. Our server for the dining portion of our evening was good.

The space itself is thoughtfully designed, with a mix of open-concept dining, lounge seating, and patio areas that give you options depending on your mood. Inside, the restaurant leans into a warm, contemporary aesthetic--think natural textures, greenery, soft ambient lighting, and plenty of visual energy from artwork and large screens. It definitely has that upscale sports bar vibe, where you can just as easily come for brunch as you can for drinks during a big game. That said, the energy can get pretty high, especially indoors, so it's more of a vibrant, social atmosphere than a quiet, intimate one. When it comes to the food, King Taps does a great job of blending comfort classics with a slightly elevated, modern twist. The Steak & Eggs is a standout brunch option--perfectly cooked steak with a nice sear, paired with eggs done just right. It's hearty without feeling overly heavy, and the balance between the richness of the steak and the simplicity of the eggs makes it a satisfying, no-nonsense dish. You can tell they put care into the quality of the ingredients, especially with their meats, which are sourced with a focus on freshness and consistency. The Breaky Bowl is a great option if you're looking for something a bit more balanced but still filling. It's layered with fresh ingredients that come together in a really cohesive way--nothing feels like an afterthought. Every bite has a mix of textures, from crisp elements to softer, more comforting components, and it's one of those dishes that feels both nourishing and indulgent at the same time. It's a solid pick if you want something lighter than a traditional brunch plate but still packed with flavor. The Huevos Rancheros dish brings a bit more boldness to the table. It's vibrant, flavorful, and has that satisfying combination of savory, slightly spicy, and fresh elements that make the dish pop. The components are well-balanced, and nothing overpowers the other--everything works together to create a dish that feels thoughtfully composed rather than thrown together. It's easily one of the more exciting brunch items on the menu if you're craving something with a bit of personality. Overall, King Taps in Langley delivers a well-rounded dining experience. Between the energetic atmosphere, stylish interior, and consistently solid food, it's a great spot whether you're meeting friends for brunch or grabbing a casual meal with a bit of buzz. While it can get loud during peak times, the quality of the food and the overall vibe make it a place you'll likely want to come back to--especially if you enjoy a lively, social dining scene.

I ordered a calamari for appy and the spicy vodka rigatoni with added fennel sausage. Wifey got malibu club. The calamari was crispy and consisted of body flesh no tentacles. They were sliced nicely and evenly coated/ fried. The sauce was nice and creamy with a slight sweet/tang. The rigatoni was cooked perfectly, not super spicy but good. Nice even spread of sausage crumbled within the pasta, coated with sauce evenly and dots of grana podano on the dish. Very delicious. Wifeys sandwich was tasty and fresh. We did have a little hiccup with the cup of fries as there was a large strand of hair buried in from the top down. We gave it to the waitress and the staff/ manager apologized for the issue and took care of it for us. Our visit on Thursday was excellent and our service was also excellent.
