Very good quality food but too SALTY! I've been in many persian resurant but food in this place has more salt than usual !

Resturant is clean and beautiful. Our kabobs were very salty for our taste. Our party did not enjoy the spices added to kabobs. Price to quality ratio did not work for us. We will not go out of our way to visit this place again. read more

Had dinner last night at Shiraz . We joined our friends for a special evening for wine and food pairing . A lovely musical trio entertained the guests during dinner. The food was spectacular , prepared with finesse and creativity. The service however lacked the same quality. Staff, including the owner, were not attentive. The owner appears flustered and shows this on her face as she walks around . We had to catch their eye to get our bread, water and refills . Our bottles of wine were just placed on the table, but not poured. Once the meal arrived, our server was confused as to who ordered what. Did not serve according to etiquette , serving from right and removing from left. Overall, it was still a positive evening. I'd recommend fine tuning the service and they will be a first class restaurant . read more

We had the most amazing dinner tonight. Starter was Sambal calamari. Delicious! My daughter ordered the pesto prawn gnocchi, my husband had marble Kebob and I had the tenderloin Kebob with Caesar salad. The taste was amazing and the service was just as good. We finished dinner with toffee pudding and their amazing home made ice cream. We would totally recommend Shiraz. We have been going to this restaurant for four years and we will continue to enjoy their amazing food in the future read more

We paid the bill and were told to beat it probably 10 minutes later. But this is your policy and your business but for me and the people we were with, we'll go elsewhere in the future. I'll also be passing along my comments about this policy to anyone that asks. We on Saturday nights are usually always fully reserved and don't usually accept people before the reservation times begin to ensure that tables are ready for when reservations arrive. Yes the Resturant might have been empty but every table is reserved on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays. We suggest if you would like to have a table for your convenience that you make a reservation in advance. We are a very busy Resturant and we apologize we shouldn't have taken a table of 4 at all that night to put you In a position where you where asked to leave to make way for a reservation. We will review this practice with our staff that assisted you, and we highly recommend you to make a reservation next time to have a better experience if you choose to dine with us again. We try accommodate the needs of so many but those with reservations are a priority for us. Best meal and evening out we've experienced in Langley. Meat was full of flavour! Rice was savoury! Salad was a perfect side. Dessert was lovely as well. The service was impeccable. My wife and I live in Langley and look foreword to going for dinner . We tried Shiraz restaurant newly opened in Langley. The dinning area is small but very nice and atmosphere quite relaxing. Our server was a new server and very nice. We ordered our food which was very good along with appy's , drinks and deserts. We were there maybe an hour and on our second round of drinks they gave us our bill. The owner advised us we had to pay our bill do to the fact they wanted the table for someone else. We were quite shocked but got up without finishing our drink paid the bill and left. We will never go back !!!! Very RUDE! The table next to us were also in disbelief and could not believe what just happened. Made for a very bad dinning experience :( read more

Was here for dinner with my partner and was truly impressed! Best hidden gem in downtown langley most definatly!!! Would always walk by as we live so close and the smell coming from inside was amazing. Finally convinced Mr picky pants to try it and he was very happy with his meal. It's been a year since my last review and I'm happy to say that it was excellent again. It was very busy and things were coming out a bit slower than normal, but not overly slow. The owner brought us an additional appetizer, an Insalata Caprese (free of charge) because of the minor delay. The Calamari Fritti was so good ... tender and tasty...($13) I couldn't decide what to eat so I thought I'd try the Spaghetti Al Bolognese ($18) and it was very good, but I regretted not ordering something a little more unique. My wife had the Chenjeh & Prawns Kebob ($32) which she thoroughly enjoyed and my son had the Fettuccini Alfredo, another 'hit'. The Don david cabernet sauvignon (Argentina) paired well, and admittedly chosen because of it's lower price ($38)... very good meal for $150. read more

We've had dinner at Shiraz many times over the last couple of years. The food is always outstanding. I highly recommend either the kabobs or the spaghetti but you can't go wrong ordering anything. The service is great and Nancy always takes the time to stop by the table to make sure everything is perfect. Wonderful restaurant. read more

I loved this place up until this past week. While the food is excellent, the service is absolutely horrible and has tainted my entire opinion of this business. My fiance and I looked forward to going to Shiraz for our anniversary dinner, especially since we were in talks of having them cater our wedding, only to be turned away three nights in a row with a list of random, contradicting excuses. When we requested to speak to the owner we had been emailing, a front of house staff member got upset with us, told us we couldn't eat there without a longstanding reservation (another lie), and that there was nobody else we needed to speak to. She for the past four days she has told us to "come back tomorrow," only to be greeted with more excuses, attitude, and disrespect. Needless to say they have lost our business and a our recommendations to friends. read more

Me and my husband went to this restaurant for a Saturday night dinner special but we were not welcomed at all. When we got in the owner said they are reserved for the night even though they had all of the tables empty. Finally she sat us on the patio. The meals on the menu were way over priced, I mean come on who will pay 30 for a med sized kebab and rice with salad, while you are sitting in a home style patio. Finally we got our meals and there I found a hair in the tomato they put with my salad. I told my husband I'm not gonna make them make me a new plate but I'll just let them know. The server came to our table to ask my if I need anything, I told her and showed her the meal, instead of apologizing from me she said (there is no-one that a darker hair other then you ) she said that to me eventhough she and the other servers had the same hair colour I had, and I was like don't worry I wasn't gonna let you take my plate away or get me a new one but I just wanted to let you know. After that we paid the full Bill with no discount or nothing and walked away. No-one came to us to ask us anything else even when we got out no-one say thank you or good bye. I mean really! !!! This owner really need to learn some respect and stop showing off her disgusting restaurant so much that is mot worth $10 food. It definitely was our first and last time there. read more

I agree with the other reviews of this place. Atmosphere is nice. We got seated by the window which was lovely. One server was going to crowd us into a two seater right next to three busy tables but the blond lady (owner? Manager?) seated us in a nicer seat. That's where the service ended. No drink order taken. We waited a long time before someone came back to help us. What I did order was no longer available. Grr. Food was good. I ordered a kebab with pasta, figured I would try a little Persian and a little Italian. My food was delivered with kebab and risotto. I had to ask again for my pasta but it did come. And it was good! Prices seem a little steep. Food presentation was good. Service staff seemed uncomfortable and awkward. I think we will go back to try one of their yummy sounding desserts (they are served with coffee or a glass of champagne included!) but probably not for a full meal again. read more

Excellent food, TERRIBLE service. While waiting for dinner for over an hour and a half no one checked on us, approached us, apologized for the wait or checked if we wanted drinks. We sat there for 1.5 hours with no interaction and no drinks. Nice space and nice food, but not sure if we'll be back. Had they come by for a drink order (at all) we might not have noticed how long the wait was. read more

I was looking for great pasta and went to this restaurant based on the yelp reviews. We were glad we went. We started with the eggplant dip which was great. I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli which was delicious. My husband had the Penne Chicken Chorizo and my son the Chicken Pesto Parmesan. They enjoyed their meals as well. We indulged in dessert and the Creme Brule and Tiramisu were also great. The service was also good, in contrast to what I had read in other reviews. My only complaint is the limited wines available by the glass. That said, we'll be back for sure. read more

Went to the Shiraz on Friday night & got in without a reservation at about 5pm. Noticed most of the tables had reservation signs on them. We started with garlic prawns in tomato sauce & they were good but will not exceptional. I had the chicken & sirloin kabobs. They were pretty good as far as flavour & portion size. The kabobs came with basmati rice & green salad with house dressing. My hubby had prawn fettuccini Alfredo. He said it was also good at best. It had a definite lack of garlic & authentic Italian flavour. We asked for cocktails to start but it seamed the head hostess who served us was offended by the request & said that spirits encouraged problem customers. She stated that the customers had to realize they were a fine dining establishment & not somewhere to misbehave. This bigotry was offensive! As for fine dining, we had paper napkins & plastic table clothes which the hostess reasoned that it was hygienically preferable to cloth. However she did compromise by saying she would bring extra napkins but took away any extras that we had. When my hubby dropped his napkin on the floor he was left without any napkins at all even after requesting a new one. The hostess actually made quite a few comments regarding hygiene however the waitress was witnessed coming from the kitchen with food in her fingers & in turn in her mouth, then thumbs on the plates of food. For you young men would surely enjoy the show as the waitress wore a very short black spandex/Lycra dress that had to be shimmied down constantly & was so stretched that you could clearly see flesh, a thong & butt cheeks! If there were no cotton gazette, you could have counted bendecho. I would have given 2 1/2 stars but the food was better than the service. Too bad, I think this place could have had potential but have decided we won't be back. read more
