Dirty Elvis wings, hot buffalo, and small garlic noodles
    Sevag K.

Y'all are lucky a photo was even taken before these were demolished. Ambiance is welcoming. Dirty Elvis sauce is addictive, every flavor profile I like kind of like Jamaican jerk sauce. Everything was so good and high quality sourced ingredients which is essential for me. The owners are lovely as well. One of them caught me eating in the car outside Come here yesterday.

Schlap Muan recently opened a new location in Monrovia, which is much closer to home, so I had to check it out. I came with a friend on Sunday, loved both the food and how welcoming the owners were, and ended up coming back again today. The wings here are fried to perfection--hot, light, and crispy on the outside while staying tender and juicy on the inside. Even better, they're incredibly well-seasoned without being overly salty like many fried chicken spots. On my first visit, I tried the Dirty Elvis and the dry-rub Spicy Cambodian Dirt. The Dirty Elvis had a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, with hints of caramelized molasses and soy sauce that reminded me of Korean fried chicken--but somehow even better. The Spicy Cambodian Dirt was equally impressive, packed with fragrant lemongrass and just the right amount of spice. On today visit, I ordered the Tamarind Tiger and Spicy Elephant. The Spicy Elephant is basically what would happen if satay sauce met chicken wings--nutty, savory, and lightly spicy. What's not to love? The Tamarind Tiger highlights everything great about tamarind: a gentle tang that's less sharp than lemon, balanced sweetness, savory depth, and crispy garlic chips that take it to the next level. As great as the food is, the owners are what make this place truly special. They're warm, personable, and genuinely happy to chat with customers. On my second visit, she even gave me an extra wing! Amazing food, amazing people, and an easy 5-star experience. I'll definitely be back!

Finally Shlap Muan is getting closer! Congrats on the 2nd location. Their wings are fried and seasoned to perfection. Crispy, so well seasoned and balanced. The flavors that no other place has. The Cambodian Dirt is still my fave and Dirty Elvis comes close 2nd. And you have to have their Garlic Noodle. Their homemade lemongrass ranch is sooo good too. Must try! Owners and staff are friendly, nice and fast. I recommend this place to everyone. Love love love this place. ^__^v

Wow--these wings were seriously delicious! The seasonings were unique and flavorful, and the sides were just as good. We ordered the Meal Pack for 5-6 people, which came with garlic noodles and seasoned tots. You get to choose 4 wing flavors, and we tried Cambodian Dirt, Sweet Spicy Garlic, and Dirty Elvis. All were great, but Dirty Elvis was definitely our favorite! They've taken over the former BurgerIM location. The owners were incredibly friendly and personally chatted with customers throughout our visit, which made the whole experience feel really welcoming. There's also plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating.

We're so happy to have another Shlap Muan location now located in SGV. Visited the Monrovia location around 4pm on a Sunday. The 20 piece wings were made in under 10 minutes. My wife and I ordered the Spicy Cambodian Dirt and Dirty Elvis. We enjoyed the Dirty Elvis but thought the Spicy Cambodian Dirt was lacking seasoning. We were hoping it was going to shlap us in the face with flavurrrr but it didn't. Not sure if it's just this location or maybe we just got a less seasoned batch. I recall the Long Beach location having better seasoning the two other times I've gone there. Besides that the service is good. The workers are always helpful and pleased to serve you. It wasn't busy at all when we got there. Just another couple beside us. The location is clean and spacious. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The ambiance was pretty mellow, quiet, you can hear a dime drop during our visit at least. There is street parking and while there is a parking lot across the street I'm not sure if customers are allowed to park there.

Came here for the first time and had an absolutely incredible experience! The owner was fantastic, super helpful in breaking down the menu and introducing the flavors since it was my first visit. I ended up ordering a 8 piece wing order and used my SGV Passport to get a free 4-piece addition to my order. Here is the breakdown of what we tried: Water Buffalo: Incredible. The buffalo sauce has a unique twist with lemongrass and what tasted like Thai bird's eye chili. The owner says he makes his own chili sauce to make the buffalo sauce and I believe it 100%. It was incredibly tasty with a perfect kick. 5/5 Cambodian Dirt: Think of this as their elevated version of Lemon Pepper, where the lemon flavor comes from lemongrass instead. It has a great sour punch, but it is perfectly balanced and completely delicious. 5/5 Spicy Cambodian Dirt: Took the excellent flavor profile of the regular Dirt wings and kicked the heat up a notch. 5/5 Between the phenomenal, unique flavors and the top-notch customer service from the owner, Shlap Muan has absolutely earned a spot on my regular rotation. I will definitely be back for more! I might even try their garlic noodles and seasoned fries with the Cambodian Dirt. Now my mouth is watering writing this! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Tip: If you have the SGV Passport, don't forget to use it here for the free 4 piece wings with a soda!

I have been supporting Shlap Muan and recommending it to friends and family for a while. I am so happy they finally opened one in 626. First day opening was a success for them! Their wings Absolutely SHLAP HARD I always recommend Cambodian dirt, Dirty Elvis and Tamarind Tiger. GARLIC noodles is a must ! The tots can be mixed with different flavors too ! Parking is usually on the street or across. They do have some tables and chairs for sit down. The family is always friendly every time we go.

Hidden at the corner where Areum apartments are, a unique fried chicken addition to the area. When you want something different than Korean fried chicken flavors or American chicken, come here! The options of Dry or Wet "sauces" allows for orrdering for take out and still having your chicken crunchy. Friendly and helpful staff! Our favorites were the Dirty Elvis and Cambodian Dirt. We will be back to try other flavors. Tater tots were not an option when we went.

To start, these were some of the best wings I've had in a long time. A friend and I were looking for a place to eat and decided to give Shlap Muan a try after seeing their Long Beach location featured multiple times on TikTok. When we found out they had recently opened a location closer to us in Monrovia, we knew we had to check it out. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by one of the owners with a warm smile and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel welcome. She took the time to walk us through the menu, answer our questions, and made the experience feel personal rather than rushed. After placing our order, the food came out surprisingly quickly. We chose to sit outside, and while we were eating, the owner came by to check on us and even brought us a complimentary sauce to try. It was incredibly flavorful, balanced, not overly spicy, and a perfect addition to the meal. As we were leaving, we had the opportunity to speak with the other owner as well. Just like his wife, he was kind, approachable, and genuinely appreciative of our visit. It's clear that both owners care deeply about their customers and the experience they provide. Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's not often that you find a new restaurant that gets both the food and hospitality right from day one. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend giving Shlap Muan a try.

I'm so happy they opened one here! I went to the LB one a lot when I went to school there. The wings are just as yummy as I remember. Spicy lemongrass pepper is so fragrant! Tamarind wings are nice and sticky. Big ol box of tots and don't miss the lemongrass ranch! The staff are super kind and lovely. Checked in on us to see how everything is. They're located where the old burger im used to be in the complex. You can park on the street and just walk in (:

Best wings we've had in a loooong time. At a time where value and quality is going down in alot of places, this place is a great bang for your buck on both. We got the 2-3 person meal and wow it was a large amount of food! Enough for leftovers for later. The wings were perfectly cooked, crispy yet moist. And the flavors were so good! We also tried the buffalo sauce and omg, unlike any we've ever had. It was our favorite! The owners were such kind and welcoming people too. We live 20min down the freeway (with no traffic ha) but would brave traffic to eat here again! Best wing place around!

This place is pretty new. It still has the signs for the burger place it replaced but their food is amazing! Good size wings. Perfectly crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. We tried the Dirty Elvis, Tamarind Tiger and Spicy Cambodian Dirt. So far the Dirty Elvis is my favorite. It's sweet, salty, meaty BBQ goodness on a chicken wing. Don't sleep on the garlic noodles. It was super good too! The staff are attentive and super kind. I'm already craving more and it's barely been a week! Try it. They won't disappoint :)

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

I ordered the Deluxe Mazesoba, which comes with chashu and a hard-boiled egg. I really liked the deluxe version because it felt more filling and had a good amount of protein from the minced pork, chashu, and poached egg. The bowl had a lot of flavor, and I ended up finishing the whole thing, so I didn't even get a chance to try the free scoop of rice at the end. The mazesoba was a bit on the salty side, but it wasn't something that bothered me. The seaweed and fish powder added extra depth and helped give the bowl more variety, while the green onions added a nice texture and freshness. I came on a Wednesday night and didn't have to wait at all, which was a plus. Overall, I enjoyed my first mazesoba experience here and could definitely see myself coming back whenever I'm in the area.

We walked into a casual ramen shop atmosphere, the kind of place that works well for a quick and satisfying meal rather than a long dining experience. The space is functional and focused, with a menu centered around different variations of mazesoba along with a few sides and drinks. The main reason to visit is the mazesoba, and it delivers a completely different experience from typical ramen. The noodles have a chewy texture and are meant to be mixed thoroughly with the toppings, sauce, and egg yolk to bring everything together. We tried the Nagoya-style combination of spicy minced pork, green onions, seaweed, garlic, and other toppings, and found the bowl rich and layered, with each bite getting better as everything blended together. The deluxe versions add more toppings and make the dish feel more complete, while the spice level can be adjusted depending on how much heat you prefer. The richness of the sauce and toppings is balanced by the brightness of the egg yolk and the crunch of the onions, keeping the dish from feeling one-dimensional. The restaurant also offers options like takoyaki and matcha drinks, which add variety to the meal. The matcha latte is a nice contrast to the heavier noodle dishes, while the sides work well for sharing or adding something extra to the table. Since mazesoba is naturally a heavier dish, the balance of toppings and textures helps keep the meal from feeling too rich, and the sides offer a lighter counterpoint. Service is quick and the experience moves efficiently, which fits the casual style of the restaurant. Menya Hanabi can get crowded during busy hours, and waits are possible, but the focused menu and flavorful bowls make it worth adding to a noodle rotation. It is a great spot if you want to try something different from traditional ramen, delivering a meal that feels both intentional and satisfying, with a concept that is simple but executed in a way that makes the noodles stand out.
