    Seafood bento box with salmon

This is my favorite place to get a bento box from! I always get the seafood bento with salmon and OMG AMAZING! I've never had an issue with my food and the service is always amazing! They are so nice and welcoming! Definitely recommend trying them!

Located at the Lincoln Center is this cute Japanese restaurant. You place the order and pay first and then you find your seat. I always order the chicken teriyaki bowl. It's cooked to perfection with mushrooms, squash, and carrots. I also got the shrimp tempura roll. The pieces are quite large, good for two bites each. The people are always friendly and helpful. It's a must stop for a casual meal.

My family and I were looking for a quick lunch spot and decided on Japanese food at Shomi. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was casual and clean. The food was OK. My dad wished there were larger slices of pork in his stir fry. My mom's tempura was not crispy. My grandma said the udon was satisfying her hankering for noodle soup. I really enjoyed my katsu curry. It was crispy and the curry was flavorful. Would highly recommend.

The food was the breadwinner. We waited about 30 mins for our order and had our spicy edamame and wasabi and ginger to go thru the wait time . After getting our meal we had to pay and rushed to the cinema, because we were going to watch the Mortal Kombat 2 movie in theaters

    Hamachi Carpaccio

lion king roll, hamachi carpaccio and the sp. tuna hand roll were all bomb. This is a terrific sushi spot!

Great sushi selection and entree's! The service wasn't bad at all but certainly could have been better. It was the small things. Asking for condiments etc. But overall good vibes and it's nice and chill will definitely come back.

I used to love coming here but customer service etiquette is always hit and miss. I ordered a Ebi Hand Roll for pick-up on January 2nd which tasted amazing and presented beautifully. I ordered pick up for the same item January 25th at 2pm and when I got home at 2:15pm I I was extremely disappointed to open my food. It doesnt seem like there is consistency with food either. Made me upset to spend money here. I understand weekends can be busy but your lack of caring shows through your work. Pictured first is January 25th and second photo is January 2nd.

we have since gone back to try their sushi and yum!!! it's so good and def their specialty previous review: we had been looking forward to trying this place for a while and were so disappointed to be honest. the edamame was good and sauce was yummy, but i've had better spicy edamame. this edamame wasn't actually spicy either. the ramen was very bland and mostly flavorless even after adding the black garlic oil (which was $1 extra on top of the $2 extra for tonkotsu ramen). the ramen portion was pretty big though. overall, this place wasn't bad, but we just weren't very impressed. this place is definitely known more so for their sushi so might be worth trying again.

My family and I tried ShoMi on a Saturday afternoon. We were in the mood for sushi and found a few choices on Yelp to try. While the reviews were mixed, we decided on ShoMi since it's been around for 20 years and located at the convenient Lincoln Shopping Center (which has plenty of available parking). Upon entering the restaurant, we stood at the front counter and watched several people go back and forth (putting orders to go, answering phones, and whatnot) but it took several minutes before anyone stopped to greet us. They informed us that we can order at that front counter or via phone app if we wanted to seat ourselves. We thought that was off-putting for a sit-down restaurant yet we didn't turn back. We found ourselves a seat and proceeded to go through their menu via our cell phones. The item that I wanted to order online kept prompting me to answer questions that didn't apply to the item (tempura). After trying several times, I gave up and ended up getting up to place our order at the front counter. By the time we sat back down, a waitress finally came by to bring us water. I showed her how messed up their online page was and she apologized but didn't seem interested in informing anyone at the restaurant to fix the problem. The sad thing about our experience is that waitress was the best thing about our visit. She was friendly and checked up on us throughout our meal. Besides the tempura, we also ordered udon noodles and fried squid. All of which were fairly flavorless. And, the thick coating on the tempura and squid made the dishes taste extra greasy.

Excited to try this new limited menu sushi combo bowls. You can choose from tuna or salmon set my coworkers ordered salmon and I wanted to try the tuna. The staff were very nice and gave us all the condiments we needed from Ponzu sauce to spicy mayo and siracha. Although everything tasted well my co worker noticed a hair in my tuna nigiri thankfully it was the last one I didn't eat but was the first on my nigiri which looked amazing so I saved it for last in this case. Saving the best for last was the best thing I could do not for flavor wise but because she saved me from eating the one that had hair. They did comp my meal for me but because I couldn't see it I could've missed it. The staff did go above and beyond but respectfully I wished there was never hair on my food only because I felt sick thinking about how many more hairs was on my food. Inspection of the food should be done or hairnets when food is being prepared should be priority in this establishment or any food places. Feeling indifferent!!!! 2 stars due to it but 5 stars to The staff!!!

YUM!! I was craving ramen and this place satisfied that craving. I ordered the sake bomb along with tonkatsu ramen while my cousin ordered their bulgogi gyu-don. Everything was yummy and all the food arrived quickly too! Very casual dining along with quick service.

We dropped in for dinner earlier this month, tasty food and friendly, attentive service. Nice portions and sashimi was sliced really thick this time! YAY! :0) Thank you so much! We look forward to eating here again soon! Keep up the great work!

We've been at many sushi places from the bay to central valley and gotta be honest, the price and portion size here is unbeatable especially the sashimi pieces. They were sliced twice as thick as other places. Now everything was going well until we paid the bill and walked to our car. As we got in our car about to leave, a kitchen staff with apron came in the restroom and walked out without washing his hand. Then another one came in to the other stall, walked out, light a cigaret and smoke for a bit before got called in the kitchen again, of course wasn't washing his hand. Im not sure which station those two were working in the kitchen but Im sure as hell not coming back to eat my raw fish being handle by those hands.

The restaurant has made an interesting choice to offer soup OR salad with your $40 meal. It comes across as stingy, but I've been to places where the table gets overcrowded with plates and bowls so I didn't mind too much. One thing to note about the place is they do not have an exhaust above the grill. Instead, the exhaust vent is at grill-level. Your clothes will reek of smoke either way but I could definitely see people with asthma having difficulty at this place.

I appreciated that they brought the sweet item last as our "dessert". I am excited that 88Bao Bao has expanded their menu options too! For example, the cute panda custard bun is something I haven't tried before. It's not as cute as the pictures though, just keep in mind hahah. I have to say, though, a lot of the prices have gone up since the last time I was here; and between two people who had ordered about four or five dishes, two fruit drinks, with taxes and tip it up to $95! I think this place does well for their dumplings and xiao long bao. The wonton chili oil wasn't as flavorful or spicy as I am used to at other Chinese restaurants. For the small space, they certainly use it well with several tables available. They keep the dining area and the bathroom relatively clean as well. The restaurant was 3/4 full when we were there, but still not too noisy that you couldn't have conversations. The TV plays random YouTube music videos. Overall, a decent experience. I like that they had expanded their menu options and provide a tablet to order at the tables. I just hope that they can maintain the quality of their many items. It has gotten a little more expensive, understandably, so I don't imagine coming back too often. I always love their guava fruit drink though so I do recommend that.
