This is my first time trying out this business. The cobbler did an excellent job on my Redwings boots. He replaced the soles for some VIBRAM soles, excellent work, he delivered when he said he would (less than 24hours). The service I received was friendly and the work speaks for it self. These are the after pictures, I wish I had some before to show the difference

my rick owen shoes had a few loose threads and he told me he could restitch it easily with a machine. he stiched on top of the old fraying thread instead of removing them, stitches were uneven, crooked, in multiple layers in some areas, and the sole had random needle indents and black marks. i tried to ask why the job was so poorly done and why he seemed to have struggled with this after he originally told me this was something within his skill range, he blamed the struggle on his machine and said the toe of the shoe was hard to feed through it. he then added that he didnt own the correct thread and that the ones he had were either too thin or thick, then he offered to add additional stitches on top (somehow he thought this would make it better) i declined his offer and paid, i later noticed he charged me $35 when he originally quoted me $28. also when i went to pick them up the day he told me it would be ready, he asked me to come back at a later time because he hadn't worked on them. my shoes looked better before i brought them here. i just wish he was truthful about what he was capable of and told me that he could not do a decent job. instead, it seems like he just wanted to pocket my money. i dont appreciate businesses that are deceiving like this one is.

Cleaned polished and reated with water protector 4 pairs of shoes.

This guy is great. Good shine for a reasonable price. He also gets things done quickly. Check this place out.

I got my boots shined for 10 dollars and other leather gear for 35 and it was a terrible shine. I will not recommend this place at all.

When I told Juan Carlos what I wanted, he was extremely friendly, listened very carefully, and did what I wanted in just 10 minutes!

Kings is one of the few last bastions of streetwear boutiques, reminiscent of a long, bygone era of…read morestreetwear dating back to around 2009 to maybe the end of 2014. Nowadays streetwear trends have shifted, blurring the line between casual fashion and high fashion. It's made its way into high fashion, collaborating with major fashion heavyweights like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Vetements, etc. to list a few. Kings to me is what pure streetwear is all about at its core. No bots, no asinine reseller mark-ups, no insane pricetags, no bullshit. Just tried and true streetwear styles from iconic streetwear brands that have withstood the test of time. I'm thankful Kings and others like it still exist (Proper, BAIT, Bowls LA and Union are both kind of). I say kind of because Bowls opens whenever they want and Union definitely has a certain audience in mind with the brands they carry. Anyway, maybe I'm looking back at the history of streetwear with rose-tinted glasses, but there's no denying that the fact that a place like Kings can still thrive despite the fact that a lot of boutiques I used to frequent have either shifted to online exclusively or just shuttered their doors permanently is respectable. The fact that you can still walk into a place like this and get some sick drip without playing bullshit games and waiting for drops or buying bots to cop shit is something I truly appreciate. The staff is cool as always and if anything, their selection has improved over the years and they've definitely stepped up (heh) their shoe game as well. Anyway, my very long drawn out point is that Kings is still king when it comes to finding streetwear locally with an excellent selection. They carry all the brands; new and old. It's like Costco. You definitely aren't walking outta there with just a $5 rotisserie chicken. You're gonna walk outta there with a whole ass wardrobe if you haven't gone shopping in a VERY long time, like me.

However, during my…read moremost recent visit today, I witnessed an interaction between a manager/supervisor and an employee that I found very unprofessional and uncomfortable. While I understand that workplace issues need to be addressed, the employee was repeatedly spoken to in a degrading manner and was ultimately told to "go over there and do your thing." This interaction took place openly in front of coworkers and customers, making it difficult not to hear. In my opinion, this type of feedback should be handled privately and respectfully. Employees deserve to be corrected without being embarrassed or humiliated in front of others. I hope management will take this feedback into consideration, as the interaction significantly affected my otherwise positive impression of the store.
