I am shocked that anyone received any service from this shop in the last 3 months. Ever since Rick's health problems, no services have been rendered. They have 3 pairs of my shoes and they are NOT on-site and cannot be found. Did you know they send your shoes to an undisclosed location? Have you seen the back of the shop? Another patron and I spent almost an hour in the back and couldn't find our shoes. What we did find was stacks and stacks of unmarked shoes and equipment that was unusable and likely not used in years. The disorganization and general uncleanliness was surprising. I have attempted to contact them through the phone number on the note on the front door. No response. I left a note at the shop with an employee. No response. I've lost not just my cash deposit but 3 pairs of beloved shoes (yes beloved because they cannot be replaced) that were each purchased for over $200. I'm out the $$ because it's not enough to sue for and I'm incredibly disappointed at this lack of caring for customers that kept them in business for years. read more

If I could rate this business a ZERO I would. The man working at this shop is not mindful of his clients time and money. I was guaranteed my shoes on Wednesday, one week from drop off. I was not given a specific time just a specific day. I arrived around 10am on the Wednesday in which I was promised my shoes would be ready for pick up. Upon my arrival I greeted the man with a good morning and made him aware that I was there to pick up my shoes and handed him my ticket when he approached the counter from his work station. He then asked "what do your shoes look like" I described the make, color and shoe type for my three pairs of shoes. He scavenged his shop and showed me a shoe and I told him it was not it. I soon realized this man was over his head with work and unorganized, therefore I pulled up a photo and showed it to him. He went back to his work station and came back to say that they were not ready and I would need to return at a later time to pick them up. I explained to the man that he personally told me and wrote in the ticket that my shoes would be ready. He sarcastically asked me "what's today?" I told him "Wednesday" in which he responded "exactly, it's Wednesday the day is not over so I will call you when they are ready". I explained to him that my commute is 40 minutes round trip from my home to his shop, he didn't care. He said he would call me when they were ready. I left the shop upset and dissatisfied with his service, customer service and honesty. I then realized I didn't want him to work on my shoes I do not deserve to be spoken down to and be disrespected, so I turned around and returned to the shop to ask him for my shoes and a full refund. He said he I would have to return later for them because he was busy and didn't have time to find them. He said he would call me, so I told him that if I have to return that I will return to pick up shoes that are repaired. We went back and forth on his lack of commitment and communication to his clients. His final words were "I have plenty of work so losing your business won't hurt me, now do you want your shoes fixed or not"? At that point he couldn't find my shoes and gave me no other choice but to leave empty handed. As I was leaving he said " I'll call you when they are done." It's now 6:38pm the shop closed at 6pm, I didn't receive a call. I will be returning to the shop with police escort so he could return my shoes repaired or not. read more

So this poor rating is not because of the quality of their repair work, that is actually quite good. The problem is their actual service. My wife brought in 2 purses - one for a simple cleaning, and the others for work on the strap - a pair of shoes the needed soles and heels and a pair of boots that needed heal leather work. He told her that he was backed up and they work would take 3 months. After 5 months she got her purses and shoes. He kept telling her that the boots would be done "next week". Well, that turned into an additional 2 months and the notes hadn't been touched. All he managed to do was pull the leather of the heels with no repair whatsoever. So after being told AGAIN, the boots would be done on Tuesday so the following Friday we went to pick them up and they had not been touched. Oh and BTW she had already paid him for all the work - BAD IDEA!!!! but for some reason that's what she did. He kept trying to tell her they would be ready on Tuesday ... again! At this point she was fed up with his BS and asked for her money and boots back. Well she has her boots and he told us to come back Saturday for the cash. We're. Heading there later today, hopefully he will not try to feed us a line of BS and we could be done with them. To summarize- quality of work hasn't been bad they take FOREVER and try to make you feel like crap when you ask them to deliver. Unfortunately we will not be back. read more

Most unprofessional business I've ever experienced. Had to go back three times for a simple repair on a belt as he did not have it done on time TWICE. The receipt I got didn't even have the business name, address or phone number and the website didn't even include hours. To add insult to injury, he didn't even polish the belt as I had ordered and said: "You can't polish belts" which isn't true. My belt was old and needed a mink oil treatment but obviously the owner had never heard of that. What an idiot! read more

New Kelsi Dagger shoes for the summer were so loved I broke a strap and Ricky rewove it, glued and stitched it. Good as new! At times they're really busy, so one needs a bit of patience. My wife left a pair of boots to be repaired 3 weeks ago. I went to their shop today to pick up the boots and they hadn't even started working on them. I came back later after they told my wife they were finished and the boots were STILL not finished. The guy was still working on them. My wife called them again while I was waiting and the owner called her a liar and hung up on her while I was standing there. Nobody calls my wife a liar or hangs up on her so an argument ensued. Yes, they want cash up front and it cost me $80 to get my Florsheim shoes resoled. The shoes were not done for four weeks, but I was told that would be the case. The new soles were thick, almost like my boots I wore in boot camp. After a couple of months trying the new soles, I can say they work well. They are stiff due to the thickness of the soles, but I got my money's worth. read more

Great service. I am always in and out within 2 minutes, it's amazing. The parking lot is small, but I've always managed to find a spot. I brought in my new wedges to add grip to the bottom since they were really slippery. I brought them in on Monday morning and picked them up that Wednesday for $20. Dropped off a pair of heels to glue the bottom sole and inner lining back together. I was told they would be ready in two weeks. I tried picking them up twice, unfortunately the line was out the door, and no one was greeting customers as they entered including me - waited for over 25 minutes and nothing. I left and came back during the week, but he was not able to locate my heels. He mentioned he would call me that evening because he needed to time to find them. Not surprising he never called, tried calling for an entire week, and no answer or call back. I finally drove there again. I asked the same person as to why he did not call me to communicate whether my heels were found. He replied, I'm busy. I asked why you don't answer the phone, he replied, I never answer the phone bc I'm too busy. The worse part of it he still did not locate my shoes. I asked if i can go in and find them myself, he refused. I was not leaving without them - it already had been almost 6 weeks. I PAID 30.00 DOLLARS AND THEY WERENT REPAIRED CORRECTLY. I had two pairs of shoes that needed cleaning and a small repair made to one of them. They had my shoes for over a month, I went back twice to pick them up but they told me it was going to take longer. The third time I went to pick them up, they could not find my shoes for 20 minutes and finally found them in the bottom of an old cardboard box. There was absolutely no tagging system in which to identify the shoes and neither pair had even begun to be repaired. After 4 weeks of this I am on my way to find a new shoe repair. read more

Very disappointing to say that I've been coming to this place for quite a long time and will not be returning. Be sure to NOT pay until AFTER u've pick up your item/s. Even though for the last couple years I was not fully satisfied because I have to bring my shoes back for the same repairs multiple times - half ass is better then 0 - I continued to b a repeat customer because they are local and family-owned, like my mom's business and therefore I keep giving them a shot. This time they lost two pairs of shoes. They just point to their "30-day and not responsible sign". I returned three weeks after having dropped the boots off to be told they were not ready. Then I returned 4-5 weeks after I dropped the shoes off and they could not find them. Returned 8 wks later and still cannot be found.... Then I sent my mom because she was dropping items off. Still could not be found. Then my mom's items went missing. Then I sent my husband.. And again I'm back for the six or seven time and they still have not located them... and they're blaming me for them having misplaced them. Pretty sure these guys are selling people's property. The owner flat-out lies to your face! . I took my golf shoes here because one of the soles started separating from the shoe. He gave me a fair price and told me he would need one (1) day to make the repair. I said "great" and asked him if it would be ready by 4:00 PM tomorrow. He said it would. I said; "That's good because I have a T-Time at Heartwell golf course tomorrow at 4:30 PM and will need the shoes to golf." Then, just to be on the safe side, I asked him if he's sure the shoes would be ready by 4:00 PM tomorrow. He assured me they would. So I go to pick them up the next day at 4:00 PM and he tells me he's going to need another hour to complete the repair. I asked him why they weren't done when he told me they would be. He said; "We had a problem with the glue not sticking so we're going to have to glue them again." I said; "Oh really?" Then I looked across the room and saw my shoes sitting in a pile. I said; "Aren't those my shoes over there?" He said; "Yes, those are your shoes." I asked to see them. So he brings them over and I see that the shoes haven't even been touched. There was no sign of glue anywhere. He then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to wait an hour for him to repair the shoes. Hello! My T-Time is at 4:30 PM! I have been going in here for several years now. The owner is a very pleasant individual. He however has never had my shoes or belts ready when he said they would be done. DO NOT take your expensive shoes here. I took three pairs of shoes here for repair. One of them needed the lining repaired. There was nothing else wrong with the shoes. I asked him if he could fix them and he said yes. He charged me $50 and told me they'd be ready in a week. I went back three weeks later and my shoes were not ready. He told me to go back that afternoon. I went back and only two pairs were ready. (one of which fell apart after wearing them for 10 mins) Suspecting that this might not turn out well I told him that I would take the two pairs that were ready with me and he could keep the one that needed the lining repaired. Long story short it's been 6 months I have stopped by countless times and every time he has a different excuse: "the guy who fixes those called in sick" "the guy who fixes those had to go back to mexico" "the guy who fixes those had an emergency..." The last time I stopped by he said "if I can find them I will call you." So, basically he lost a pair of really nice, expensive, leather heels that I loved...sigh! read more

Poor customer service. Took over two weeks for luggage to be repaired. Could not find luggage when called for update. Gave me attitude for being frustrated. They said they had over 50 bags in the store to be repaired. So obviously they are slow. And to top it off they tried to overcharge me upon pickup. Avoid this place. read more

Took two pairs of new shoes in to just have heels changed. 1st mistake - saying not in hurry. 2nd mistake - paying $80 in advance. 3rd mistake - not demanding shoes back after 6 months although I visited every month and was told "ready in two weeks." First pair back after 12 months not as promised nor wearable. Finally, two months later wised up and asked for second pair back. Returned untouched except for one missing heel. My Louis Vuitton button broke on my wallet. LV wouldn't fix it for me because it was a gift & isn't in my profile history so I took it to shoe doctor on 1/29/19. He told me that it would be ready in 1 week on 2/5/19. I wasn't able to pick it up until 3 weeks later & whenever I went in they couldn't find it for like 5 minutes. Then whenever he finally found it he told me that it wasn't ready yet. I said that it was supposed to be ready 2 weeks ago & asked why they didn't call me to let me know it was going to be late. He then asked me if I want it to be fixed by them or not. I said no, that it's far from my house & that I would just take it & have it fixed somewhere else so he gave it back to me. Whenever he gave it back the LV button was missing. I asked him where it was at & he said the vendor must've took it & that they would call me whenever he brings it back. That was on 2/19/19 which was 3 weeks ago & I still have not heard from them. If you have luxury brand items or any items for that matter that need to be repaired, I definitely would not recommend taking it here. They're irresponsible & very unorganized. My mother gave me an expensive COACH purse five years age when I turned sixty. She doesn't have a lot of money. I am a working woman, and used her gift purse every single day. She is now 93 and I am sixty-five. I took my purse in to have a 1/2 inch shoulder strap seam repaired. He told me it would take one week. Nearly two months later, I still didn't have my purse and he still was making the exact same excuses that are written in this thread. I told him I didn't can about getting the purse anymore, but to just give the purse back to me. My heart was breaking and I had just decided to take him to small claims court. He Finally returned the purse to me (un-repaired) with no apologies. Just blank face and eyes. I am so happy to have my mother's gift back and a weight of sorrow has been lifted. I had a purse from Spain break along the strap--it's a side body one--and brought it in for a diagnosis. They had a look, said they could fix it, and four working days later, called to say it was done! The purse looks great, and the replacement part is barely noticeable. I brought in a pair of boots to be altered, and one of the two men who work in this place quotes me a pretty low price. He asks me if I would like them to be ready in two weeks. I say that's fine. He says okay, he'll try. I call two weeks later. No, they're not ready on Saturday today, but they will be on Tuesday. I wait another week and call the following Saturday, assuming they'll be finished with no problem then. No, I'm curtly told, they're not ready. When I try and pin him down on a time when the job will actually be completed, he becomes rude on the phone, accusing me of trying to hold him to something he never promised. He finally says it will probably be at least a couple of months before he can get to them. Take it or leave, he says in a hostile tone. Do you want them or not? At this point I realize his "quotes" are nothing but a con. My husband and I go in there to just get the boots back from him. I tell him I've waited long enough. He goes into the back room and begins to say something to another man working with him in Spanish and snickering. We assume it's something rude. So my husband pretends he understood and mimics the owner's snickering laugh, and the owner shuts up. So far, just a really awful experience with this person. Don't waste your time. Drive the extra distance and take your boots to the Little Cobbler in Huntington Beach. He's a fantastic shoe repair guy. Just read my review about him.
