My mom bought some heels from them Friday today she went to work and out on her shoes for the FIRST time within a few hours the shoe falls apart the glue is coming off and the shoes are brand NEW!!! I agree with the other reviewer. The staff can indeed be somewhat unprofessional at times but this place is still my go-to spot when I'm looking for quick and cheap but cute shoes. The only issue I have is that they rarely have my size as it is a popular shoe size. Sometimes the shoes can be in the wrong box and you end up missing out on what you wanted. If you are a woman who doesn't wear heels over 2" this isn't for you as all the heels are high. I hate that they have only one full body mirror that all the women crowd around to try on shoes. On a good note they keep the place pretty neat and clean and the store hours are convenient. It is also located in a popular spot on 1960. Will continue coming back every once in a while for sure. read more

I can't believe how rude the employees are. I walk in with a drink and was told I couldn't have it in there I didn't really have much options of where to put it so I was told to put it in my purse (with an attitude) which my purse was not big enough to hold it but I managed to shove it in there after that I walked around and noticed that a employee was following me around the store and another one was watching me from the cashier I felt very uncomfortable and I never remembered having a bad experience here but I'm guessing they changed the old employees and hired these rude little girls. Some of the staff here can be a bit unprofessional at times, but they are always friendly and helpful!! They have great prices, all shoes $10.99, and they get new shipments often!! You have to check in frequently because they rarely, if ever, order the same shoe twice so you have to get it while it lasts. But for $10.99 you can't beat it!! read more

Today I believe I was stereotyped while shopping at Shoe Expo. I have came to the store several times over the past eight years, most of the time after work in business attire. Coincidentally I came in Street cloths today ( oversized T-shirt, ball cap, and biker shorts). I was greeted by an employee to inform me that I need to try on any shoes in the front of the store at the benches. I was highly offended, also inconvenienced especially with the design of the store. I was told by the employee that it's the store policy. I will no longer be shopping at this location due to this stereotype. Reviews are helpful only if they give an accurate account of an experience. Therefore, I feel it is my responsibility to warn any customer about the service you may receive if you purchase merchandise from the Shoe Expo on Fm 1960/Veterans Memorial. On 12/19/17, I entered this location and bought $90.00 worth of shoes. After speaking with family members, I learned that 1 of the pair of boots purchased was not going to be the best style for my family member. On 12/21/17, I brought the boots back to exchange for a different boot. Needless to say I found 2 more pair of shoes, when I get to the counter to check out (the owner leaves the store) the csr tells me that the owner says, the manager would have to be here inorder to do an exchange. I was only trying to buy more shoes and do an even exchange for the boots- I wasn't asking for ANY money back. At that point I no longer wanted to continue as a customer. After providing the receipt- I asked for a full refund. They still refused to give me my money back- saying that I needed the same credit card that I purchased the merchandise. At this point I realized these people were a few fries short of a happy meal so I calmly called 911 and reported the problem and asked for an officer to come down. The csr thought it would be best to contact the owner and explain my situation for the 3rd time. Only this time he could understand that I meant business.. I was so upset, I decided to only get 1 pair of shoes and I got cash back. I'm considering returning with the other wrapped boxes of shoes and getting a refund for those as well. This was my first time here and the ladies that worked there were a bit rude and unprofessional. I had my 5 yr old nephew with me, who was holding a drink and the first lady looks at me and in a rudely way says there are no drinks or food allowed in the store. I say ok. Then the next worker says, "Hey....there is no food or drinks allowed." I said ok I'm walking out. I'm thinking in my head, "I heard the 1st time wench, give me time to walk out. Damn!" I look for my group and leave. I don't live near this place so i decided i would go since i was in the neighborhood and I've heard good things about this place from friends. Well next time i hear about this place i will just have to disagree. Definitely not ever coming back. Oh and as i was walking out. I am typically a reasonably minded person that try to see the good in situations, despite the obvious bad. My recent experience at this store was absolutely HORRIBLE! I had been hesitant in going into this store only because the price point of the shoes does not always equal best quality, however needed something quick and for one time use for my daughter and her homecoming. Although the store is fairly organized, the behavior of the workers there was absolutely concerning. There were other customers in the store (not crowded at all) and the floor worker walked around the entire time watching over customers as though she was a WARDEN over prisoner. ABSOLUTELY DEGRADING EXPERIENCE! At first, I thought perhaps she was being watchful to tidy up boxes after customer use, but not the case. It was obvious she was watching me, my daughter, and other customers to see if they were going to shop lift. NOT ONCE did she ask if we needed assistance .. NOT ONCE! It was as though she was on guard the entire time we were there. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt initially, but I grew more iritated after it became obvious what she was doing. I voiced my concern to the cashier who became defensive at my comment of their need to 'DO BETTER with how they treat customers and at least show basic respect of not making it seem obvious you are either discriminating or simply being rude! I shop at a diversity of stores from low end to high end. I am almost 50 years old and a shop-a-holic... In my experience, this by far is one of the most horrible experiences of disrespect I have had as a gues in a store where I am choosing to patronize. Perhaps they are accustomed to people shop-lifting (due to the demographics of the area) perhaps the concern is a point well taken... but it is unfair when you apply the same standards to everyone due to your bad experiences Shoe Expo! Get camera's if you need to, but don' t ever make your customers feel as though they are PAYING PRISONERS again! Get rid of the staff you have working there or do an inservice! The Culture of your store needs revamping and perhaps if people care enough to impact your sales... then perhaps Shoe Expo Leadership will take action to do better read more

Not a good place to buy shoes if you plan on taking them back. They have a return policy within 15 days with receipt; however, shoes cannot be worn. Can anyone tell me how can a shoe not be worn if you put it on your foot to check the feel and the fit? They sell shoes with black felt underneath so even if you try it on and take a stroll to see how they feel, more than likely the felt will scuff. The clerk started shaking her head right away and refused to accept my shoes back,saying they had been worn. I tried to tell her I did walk on concrete in order to see how they would feel, and after the first day, I knew they would not be a good fit. If you plan on buying shoes, make sure you really do not mind the quality and the policy they have in force. I will not judge the whole store by one person's ignorance and obnoxiousness, but the manager should be more cautious who they put behind their counters. I am sad to say I am stuck with shoes that cannot be worn by myself or anyone else for that matter. They were cheaply made and not of good quality in the first place. Do not buy for looks. read more
