We were there on March 4, 2018 and were helped by a great employee named Esmerelda. I think she could see I was having a few issues trying to get my special needs grandson to be still for shoe fitting. She came up to us and just started helping, finding shoes, getting them on my grandson, talking to him, keeping him busy, and just being a great support. Because different makes of shoes can be oddly sized, we ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes, in different sizes. They fit him perfectly with just a little room to grow. I would not have been able to get through this without her help. The selection is great and the place is spotless and organized. Parking is a breeze on their lot. You are greeted as soon as you walk in. Now, that is nice. Check out was great. Esmerelda got the shoes together and helped us pick socks while I was in line. To keep my grandson occupied she showed him a ball, which we ended up buying. At check out, our shoes were checked again by the cashier (#012020 5:02:57pm) and he asked if we needed anything else and wished us well. What a great experience.

When I got to the cashier, Jaylene asked what I needed help with, and I explained the situation. She told me I could not receive a gift card and that the only option was a return, which would send the money back to the original purchaser. Another employee, who was helping a different customer, stepped in and correctly explained that I was able to receive a gift card since I had the gift receipt. Despite this, Jaylene said no and insisted it wasn't possible. She was very rude throughout the interaction and spoke as if she knew more than everyone else, even though she was incorrect about a basic store policy. She eventually did process the gift card. I want to thank the other employee who actually knew the policy and helped fix the situation. Customer service like this made a simple exchange annoying to go through.

I went down every single aisle and every other DSW I've been to has a little black placard that says available and wide with. Not one of their heels or sandals had this display. I was not about to spend my time going through every single shoe to find a wide with shoe or heel that I needed. Very disappointed in this since DSW is one of the few places you can get White Whitfield. I really hope that the staff here makes it easier for shoppers to find what they're looking for without having to waste all the time to find out ourselves if they have wide width or not.

As soon as we entered this WSS we felt very welcome.A very nice and helpful man named Luis Martinez…read moreasked us if we needed any help finding a size, and he didn't have to do that .I say this because he could have just been very rude and careless .But Luis was just different.he actually cared about helping us , and I never felt like he was just doing his job.Instead he made us feel welcome and at peace.So since he asked us if we needed help finding a size we told him we needed a 6.5 size in white Air forces.He looked everywhere and then told us he swore he saw that size .But he still went out of his way to try and find the size at another store.But he still wouldn't give up.His co-worker told him maybe in the back of the store(because they have to put them there because they have no other space to put them).He the found the size of my shoes.We went to the cashier after thanking him, and he told me"Lucky u , I wish I would have gotten 2 pairs of shoes when I was little" ( I checked out with 2 pairs of shoes).I then replied to him by saying that, " It is because my birthday is coming up soon" , and as I said earlier he cared .Because he cared he asked me " really? When is ur birthday" I told him " August 2".He was so nice that he told me " okay then since ur birthday is coming soon I will give u my store discount".I said " Really , thank u thank u so much".After that we left.I will conclude by saying Luis Martinez helped us out from beginning to end,and he never gave up, aside from that's he was caring , and because of that he deserves everything in the world.
