Classic diner fare, but a bit better in that they have breakfast burritos and specialty omelettes. We were looking for an easy breakfast to take back to the hotel before hitting Busch Gardens and this popped. It was an easy 5-minute drive from the hotel and had food ready in under 10 minutes, so I was back in less than half an hour. The breakfast burrito with sausage was good, if nothing too stand out. The home fries were the same. The kids' pancakes were genuinely delicious. My wife enjoyed her Cuban omelette. It all kept us going until a late lunch, which is really hard to do. read more

Not at all happy about looking at a menu showing one price and then getting the check for a lot higher price. I know that eggs are expensive, but they didn't put a note on the menu. The waitress said they put the notice on the door. I checked and it was on the door inside the dark tinted window of the front door as you exit the restaurant. The service was the best we have ever had in Williamsburg. Our waitress was friendly, fast and kind. The diner has a nostalgic feel to it with a life sized Elvis statue when you walk in. We just left your diner and was absolutely appalled by the immature and unprofessional behavior of your staff. The ladies were obnoxiously loud and rude. They were arguing with each other, one was making fun of her table patrons, one was complaining of how little money she made today, then another lady literally blocked a customers number when they were calling because the waitresses said she/customer was annoying. We had to sit and listen to this utter disrespect for 45 minutes!!!! We should have got up and left mid-meal! The owners should be embarrassed! Where is your management?? Excellent is every way! Four of us dined 11:45 on Monday. Moderately business lunch crowd, no wait to be seated. Decor is meant to be throwback and seats are comfortable for the 1 hour experience. Amber our server was SPECTACULAR! She is gracious, professional, accurate, and conscientious. The owner came by the table to say hello and we are not special as he worked the entire restaurant. The food was done right. Every order was hot, delicious (their words and mine too), and accurate. Love the French Toast, perfectly cooked. Cannot say enough good things. Yelp came to the rescue within the time I whipped out my phone lol. My in laws were visiting and lunchtime grumbles were being heard. We were driving to Williamsburg, and needed a soup and sandwich spot. There was spacious parking and seating took a few minutes. The menu is extensive, and our waitress was fast, friendly, and accommodating. I ordered the hot pastrami and Swiss which was served on rye bread with guldens mustard. As for the side, I opted for the potato salad. The hubs had the fried thick slice German bologna topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo on a brioche bun. In addition to his potato salad side chili was ordered as well. My in laws had the triple decker club with made in house fries, and a turkey rueben with chicken soup. The food came out in a timely manner. My pastrami and Swiss sandwich was ok. The bread was toasted nicely, but it was soaked in butter, and had a heavy hand in the mustard department. It was challenging to taste the pastrami when the mustard can be overpowering. However, the potato salad was delicious. My better half's chili had a sweetness to the sauce, but the bologna hit the spot. Overall we would come back to eat their other offerings. I would love to try their turkey Rueben ;) read more

Wow, $33, for four to dine here! Two adult meals, 1 kid meal, and 1 side egg for the wee one. I got the garbage bowl. Soooo good. Hash browns, eggs, gravy and bacon. Hubs got the fried eggs, bacon, hash browns Son got the chocolate chip pancake - again on outside too not inside cooked. 2nd place in Williamsburg to serve this way. Could've gotten the egg off the kids plate for the wee one but I places the side scrambled egg with our drink order to get her eating. All in all it was a 5 star meal. Do yourself a solid and come here one day. Great people serving great food, and the owner is usually about checking in on people to make sure they're having a good day which adds a nice touch. The Omelet was great, plenty of cheese, ham paired with the Biscuit, it was a Home-Run, actually more like a Grand-Slam. My wife did a sandwich, it was huge and the flavor was very good., she loved it. This is 1 busy restaurant. Coming down the road, it sneaks up on you, and you are making a bee line before you know it. There was no wait for as busy as it was on a weekday afternoon. People were enjoying their meals here and each other's company. This diner has Elvis greeting the public, guitar in hand (of course, a statue). There is plenty of room for all, including a counter for extra seating. To the food, hubby's Pastrami with Swiss on toasted rye was excellent. He had potato salad as a side. It was really good, he said he could have made a lunch out of that! I was not so lucky, I asked the server if they could do hamburgers rare, and she assured me, "No problem." This came with fresh cut fries, I thought I was in for a treat! As they say, dream on. The burger (1/4 lb) came out with the upper bun on the side. I took 1 bite and voila. It was well done.So disappointed, plus the fresh cuts were warm and starting to become tough and gummy. It was hard to get that busy young lady's attention. Finally, I asked another employee to send her over. And when she arrived I showed her the welldone burger, she apologized all over herself and had the kitchen redo the entire order, she told them very emphatically, RARE. The 2nd attempt came out well done again. I gave up and had French fries for lunch. I would not send it back again. That's just asking for trouble. Gotta say the coffee was good. Didn't see apple bottom jeans or boots with fur but I did see a lot of hard working servers and cooks pumping out delicious food. Huge portions. Piping hot coffee. I got the home fries which has onions and peppers. That was the way to go. The pancake batter is the kinda sweet one which went nice with my coffee or milk. Service is fast. Food is good. Well folks...not today. Came in for breakfast and the food was really disappointing. We ordered the Russian omelet and Shorty's sampler. The food tasted as if it was soaked in oil. No seasoning to the potatoes, burnt, oily, not pleasing to the eye. pancake was dense and sugary, sausage patty was oily - take a bite into an oil patty. The omelette had good amount of onions and sour cream, but no cheese. Grits were flavorful but soupy consistency. Perhaps the cooks this morning were different. Bring back your other Chefs. Please. I protested FOX and Shorty's for hosting the show outside but my friends on the inside shared that a couple of talking points were "The tariffs are going to be great!" and "Isn't Trump doing a great job?"
