A Co worker recommended Shosha to me so wanted to give it a try! The food was delicious and service was great. Standouts for me was the saag and some yogurt patty appetizer (forget what it's called). Overall a great experience and will be returning!

False advertising and poor service. We went for lunch because we saw a sign that said $15 for lunch Tuesday through Sunday. It was Thursday. The menu they gave us did not have those items. I asked why not. They said the poster is misprinted and it's only Saturday and Sunday. Then we sat and waited for more than 5 minutes and the waiter never came back, so we left.

First time in Sunnyville, and overall the restaurant had great vibes and friendly service! The waiter was really nice, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. As for the food, I wasn't completely impressed. The paneer tikka had a good marinade but was a bit rubbery, and the Dilli Papdi Chaat didn't feel as authentic. The portions were generous, though, and the drink was really yummy and unique with the amla flavor. I probably wouldn't go back for the food, but the vibes and service were enjoyable!

food was very heavy, we got the malai kofta, and dal buhkara, all we could taste was heavy cream. they also don't have the menu items that are popular and portions were incredibly small 18 dollars for 3 bites of kebab is highway robbery and just not worth it

I find most upscale Indian restaurants overhyped-- surprisingly I like Shosha! Good yummy food for fair value compared to what you get in Bay Area, I wud go back again, nice cute ambiance and good service.

We visited on a weekday with a group of 11 adults and four children to celebrate a birthday. Our party was seated in the upstairs area, which I believe serves as the venue's party hall. Unfortunately, the ambiance left much to be desired-there was little atmosphere, the speakers were uncomfortably loud, and the temperature was quite warm, especially given the hot weather outside. The drinks were underwhelming, and the appetizers were just average. The only standout dish was the chili chicken, which had some genuinely good flavor. On a positive note, the service was excellent. Allwyn took great care of our group and was always attentive and responsive. His service was, in fact, the highlight of our evening. The total bill came to about $40 per person. For that price, the experience felt far from upscale, and there are definitely better dining options available in the Bay Area at a similar cost.

Shosha is our go-to place birthday celebrations! Awesome food, great hospitality and birthday music and sparklers make us to visit Shosha for every time! Their Chat pata platter is very refreshing. Spinach Paneer and Biryani is also very tasty I recommend this place to everyone!

I had the awesome experience of trying out Shosha's new Lazy Brunch Buffet - which folks can try out from April 20th! Now I have to say this experience was awesome. Shoshas ambiance feels classy and upscale with amazing service to make the experience even better! What is the cherry on the top is how amazing the food was. These are some of the items I got to try: *Nafraton ka Sharbat - this was a malai flavored drink, super creamy and absolutely fresh! *Aloo tikki - one of my favorites, this is crispy and soft potatoes with delicious sauce. Talk about a burst of flavor! *rice cake pepper chicken - this was a crispy rice dish with soft chicken on top. I really liked this with the different flavors and textures - one of my favorites *chicken shawarma bao - the chicken was well seasoned, and if you like baos this you'll enjoy *vada pav Kataafi - this was one of my favorites - if you like potato and lots of crunch, this one's for you! *makai malai dimsum - for rice lovers, this is a unique dish with rice on the outside with a veggie cheesy stuffing on the inside *butter chicken pinwheel - crispy, flakey deliciousness with everyone's fave butter chicken. Don't miss this one! *palak paneer baklava - think the pinwheel but paneer version, this was also quite flavorful I also got to try a variety of dishes that came with assortment of breads like chole bhature (delicious garbanzo beans curry) and a potato curry as well as a lentil curry as well! They were all flavorful and went well with the variety of breads they had which were warm and ready to munch on! There was also a live omelet station which was awesome for the egg lovers. We also got to try idly vada with sambar and chutneys which was amazing. To end the meal we had the following desserts: *mango & banana liquor firni - delicious, creamy and refreshing *shahi gulab malai roll - my favorite since I love rose flavored anything! Definitely try this We also got to try a few of the cocktails - the fig sour, Calcutta paan old fashioned & punch Puran. The punch Puran was my favorite! It had the perfect tang and was delicious! Would highly recommend one to check out Shosha!!

    Lazy breakfast menu

My partner and I went for this "lazy breakfast" buffet tasting event and the experience was incredible! I cannot stop raving about it! One of the best in the bay! You can experience this too - they launch this on this Saturday April 21, don't miss it. The buffet goes like this- Nafrat ka sharbat: Flavorful refreshing cold badam milk with subtle thandai flavors (not too overpowering), absolute amazing start to the course. Comes with a spoon so you don't miss out those amazing nuts and other things to eat. : ) Sweet drink to start the brunch with all the positive vibes! Aloo chat: Indian umami. Sweet, salty sour spicy all at same time. My definition of chatpat. Patty is cooked perfectly. Right proportions of chutneys, yogurt and thinly sliced red onions on top. Omg! It absolutely blew us away! Don't miss this. Deconstructed vada pav: This one stole the show with its presentation, so unique. Tasty Potato filling of traditional vada pav covered in flaky sev with a thick pav crust indulged in tonnes of butter. Eat the crust by itself to get a deeper flavor of the pav! Malai dimsums: Spicy garlic-based chutney served with flavorful rice and dim sum flour. Again, the texture and ingredients so interesting, we enjoyed it! Cocktail drink with your picture: Even better tasting than it looks. Instagram worthy! satisfaction guaranteed. They give two choices for the base - rum or a whiskey, if I remember correctly. Baklava Palak Paneer: Indian fine dining, next level. Mind = blown. One cannot imagine that palak paneer in the baklava pastry could complement each other so wonderfully. A must try. Calcutta Pan-Old Fashioned: Instagram favorite? And partner's favorite too! I have a video of the making of this, cannot wait to share it. The bar tender entertains you while smoking the bottle. Drink is an amalgamation of centuries old Indian tradition of sweet betel leaf (paan) with old fashioned cocktail and the result is spectacular! The drink is not mild, but not too strong IMO. Daal Pakwaan: Sindhi delight. The daal was the right consistency and the pakwaans were crispy. This dish is one of those simple dishes yet yummy dishes, not too much masala, perfect for kids too. Yes, they have some fancy items and some simple 'ghar ka khana' type dishes! So thoughtful. Bedmi puri with aloo sabzi and raita: Famous from Bihar, served all over, and a staple on railway stations. The puri has nice texture, probably a think layer of filling too, not heavy at all, we enjoyed the puri by itself and it tasted amazing with the flavorful aloo sabzi. Loved it! Chole bhature: Best. Just absolutely the best, the bhatura wasn't greasy at all and yet so perfect, how! Chole was to die for; oh man, you cannot miss this one! Idli vada sambhar: Medu vada is crispy and flavorful with perfect mix of spices. Vada immersed in sambhar was satisfying. Chutneys are unique, a bit different than traditional South Indian food but equally good. It's really hard to go wrong with this dish. Panch puran: Ayurvedic masalas with tulsi and lemon. My favorite! Healthy alcoholic drink (haha) made with Hennessy Cognac. This is that drink which you'll sip and definitely say "oh! This is yummy!", if you're like me, haha! Pav bhaji: Loaded with butter and tons of flavor. Took my partner back to his college days in Mumbai. It's hard to find good authentic consistent pav bhaji places in Bay Area, but this one comes very close, he said! I loved it, probably the best I've had in Bay Area. Shahi gulab malai roll: Must try. Light and right sweetness. Subtle rose flavors and nicely blends with coconut flakes. I am telling you- we went crazy, they just kept surprising us! Mango & Banana liquor firni: The firni is perfect leaving your palette with hints of kalakand(milk cake). The caramelized banana and mango slices are a nice touch if the firni by itself is too sweet for you. If you read this far, haha! I must tell you again, don't miss out this unique experience. The staff is super nice, they explained the dishes with such detail and took care of us. Must try fine dining restaurant in the Bay! The owner is extremely passionate about providing a unique unforgettable to their visitors. And this really resonates with what I'm looking for in fancy restaurants! The ambience was beautiful and the memories will be etched in until we visit, next time. Also, loads of parking available in the parking lot behind the restaurant.

Good food and ambiance. Service was very quick. One suggestion would be to get rid of the bathroom odor that comes as soon as people enter the restaurant. It is a very bad smell and people may not sit come in to your restaurants for this. It is a turn off. Overall experience was good

Came here on a rainy Friday night to try their food. The drinks were very good! I appreciated the Indian twist that they put on classic cocktails both the paan infused smoky old fashioned and the papaya mule were both excellent. For the apps we went with the Dilli papdi chaat and the Tangela style chili paneer. The chaat was pretty tasty and came with pomegranate on top which was a nice touch and the paneer came out hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a classic tomato based gravy that was a little ketchup-y almost but tasty nonetheless. Finally for the mains we ordered the spinach corn/paneer, kadhai chicken, jackfruit biryani, and naan/roti. Pretty full spread overall. The creamed spinach was a little interesting and honestly didn't really resemble any Indian food I've eaten and the staff was nice enough to add paneer in as we realized after it was corn OR paneer not both. The kadhai chicken again was pretty standard, nothing super impressive but filling and the garlic naan could've been a little more garlicky. The jackfruit biryani was a little disappointing to be honest. The jackfruit itself was fine but the rice portion of the biryani didn't feel like a biryani almost colored rice and I felt it was not very flavorful and lacking in spices. Definitely on the more expensive side as they are going for a more upscale Indian but I feel like the fusion attempts on the menu makes the food seem to lose a little bit of authenticity. Overall a 3.5/5

Looking for an upscale Indian restaurant in Sunnyvale with delicious food and amazing drinks? Shosha is the place! Their cocktails are incredible. The Calcutta Paan Old Fashioned truly has an aftertaste just like paan, and the Papaya Mule is a fantastic twist on a classic Moscow Mule. While the menu changes monthly, the chicken curries are always a winner. Pro tip: If you're celebrating a birthday, bring your own dessert (or order theirs - the Rasmisu is delicious) and let them know. They'll make it extra special with party lights, music, and a sparkler! This really added a fun touch to our celebration.

Great food. Good atmosphere. Service okay. Dal makhani is the best item on the menu. Also try the jamun cocktail.

    Ask the Community - Shosha

How much is the Sunday buffet?

Hi, the introductory price of the weekend brunch buffet is $24. However, tomorrow we do not have a brunch buffet. Tomorrow you can enjoy our regular menu with Mother's Day specials. The details of the special menu are available on our social media…

What are the days of the week and timings of the buffet?

Hi Jason. The buffet is available on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Do they have kid friendly vegetarian options? Or a separate kids menu?

They don't have a separate kid's menu. However, there is plenty of vegetarian chats and main courses (methi malai mutter, dal bukhara, paneer hariyali etc.). The food is pretty mildly spiced too. Shosha is not for everyone-It really depends on how…

    Does Shosha have Happy Hours?

Yes!! Tuesday-Friday | 3:00 PM-6:00 PM. Visit us for Premium cocktails, Beers, Wines, and Delicious…

    Do you have vegan options?

If you let them know while you're ordering, they will cook for you the vegan food. They had done that for one of our friends who is vegan.

What are the gluten free menu items?

    Does this location serve halal?

    Hi, we serve only halal.

It would be helpful to see allergens listed on your menu. I'm allergic to dairy (casein so ghee is actually ok) and eggs, etc- I'd place a togo order, except I can't tell what's safe for me. Are you thinking of adding that info to your menu?

Dear Violetta, There are so many dishes we have in our menu. Every dish is different and may contain…

Are there a few vegan options?

Dear Lisa, Though most of the dishes in our Menu have butter and cream if not meat.…

Do they offer a Prix Fixe or tasting menu?

    No they don't :(

Do you do catering for private events like a birthday party?

Hi, We do offer private dining in our restaurant for events like Birthdays or Anniversaries. Are you…

Are any of the meats (Chicken or Lamb) Halal?

Hi, We use only Halal. Thank you.

Are there heaters for outside dining?

    Yes!!

Anyway, I met up with some friends here last weekend and we had a reservation at Alter Ego. I guess it's technically 2 places with Still OG. I have to say, I have really fond memories of Original Gravity from back in the day (ah, the days of my youth...) so it's nice that it's still sort of around though.. technically completely different since there's no more craft beer or duck fat fries lol. We hung out at our table for the whole night, like 4 hours. We all ordered cocktails off the menu and later on ordered some stuff off the menu based on the bartender's suggestion. I first ordered a Calabrian Spritz from the menu which hit the spot for me. Personally, I am not a hard alcohol fan but I enjoy wine and fun lil cocktails that are slightly sweet/not super strong lol. So this drink was nice because it wasn't too sweet and had a lot of volume (I like just sipping on stuff in general and it sucks when you order a cocktail that's like 3 sips of liquid and the rest is ice). The next cocktail I ordered was off the menu and called Like This or That (I think). I think it was some sort of passionfruit + vodka mix and very delicious! We also ordered the cold soba noodles and fries. Fries were crinkle cut and nicely crispy, no complaints. Soba noodles were also good, though some component of it was really spicy, I think the cucumbers. Overall I had a good time here and look forward to coming back, though given how little I go out, who knows when that will be haha.

We came by on a Wednesday night and enjoyed some delicious cocktails along with amazing service. Not only did the bartenders help guests sitting at the bar, but they walked around checking on everyone in the lounge seating, and showed that they cared about the customer experience. They messed up on the first pair of drinks we ordered, but comped our second set of cocktails which they made ten times better. We really appreciated this. Adding to our lovely evening, the live music created just the right vibe. Mike Annuzzi, who plays here weekly, showcased some incredible talent on the guitar and vocals, performing great tunes including a jazzy rendition of Michael Jackson's Human Nature, Fly Me to the Moon, as well as some Richard Marx, Now and Forever. Sometimes we take good music for granted, but I don't want to forget the simple moments that create smiles. W XYZ in Sunnyvale features not just an awesome musician, but an excellent sound system too, with suitable volume and clarity, to go along with soothing melodies that ease your mind. Everything about my recent visit makes me wanna return to this spot. And you don't need to be staying at the hotel to take advantage of all this place has to offer.

It had an upscale vibe, but it was in the lobby of a hotel! The menu was interesting -- Japanese whiskey cocktails mainly -- and some food items. If you ask, you can get a little dish of nuts as a complimentary snack with your cocktails. The cocktails were delicious, like the "East Meets West", with most cocktails ranging from $16-20. They have a separate menu for wine and champagne that they brought us awhile later. I think you may need to ask for that if they don't give that to you right away. The drinks were delicious and made pretty quickly, but if you expect table service at this lounge, you may be waiting a long time. We found that the best way to get drinks here is to go to the bar to order, and they can bring the drinks over (or you can wait for them, of course). For the price, I'd expect better service but you may need to go further than Sunnyvale. Overall I think Nokori is a decent bar lounge, and I love the niche is on Japanese whiskey.

Can also order from the full menu of Adrestia, official restaurant of hotel. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices for drinks range from $14-20- going rate nowadays. Cheers to 2026! Let's go and make it epic and elite, friends!

Another memorable dish is the GIWA Prime Long Rib. So softtt, flavorful, perfect balance of meat and fattiness, and cut in to perfect bite size pieces. The salad on the side also adds a nice refreshing touch. Also plated nicely too. The table also loved the Truffle Potato Pancake. Again, they do truffle well! The Creamy Uni and Tobiko Rice Pot was also really good! The drinks come with a cute heart straw :) They have a few new, unique dishes that are definitely worth trying. The ambience definitely creates a nice mood for dining. Since I was there to eat--not to celebrate anything and not particularly concerned about the cuteness--I paid more attention to other things: the spacing between tables, which felt a little too tight and close together; the service; the seating; and, most importantly, the food quality. The staff were very attentive and gracious throughout our visit. The Korean Pork Cutlet was juicy and delicious. It was a generous portion--easily enough for two people. It came with a delicious corn soup, potato salad, and several condiments. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the American Wagyu Steak with Cheese Dip. I ordered it medium, but the meat was so tough it was like chewing leather. Definitely not what I expected from a Wagyu steak. Would I go back? Probably not for a while, unless I was looking for a place with a fun atmosphere for a celebration. For me, good food comes first, and unfortunately, the steak experience left me questioning the quality of their other beef dishes. And I'm a beef eater!

At first I was skeptical since this was a bar inside a hotel and the reviews were scarce. Showed up to the hotel and couldn't really find the bar so had to ask the front desk. Our bartender Fernando was cool though. Made us some good drinks and yes, as a gin bar, they did have some good gin selections. As a home bartender, I've made some of these drinks. I didn't think the Romos Gin Fizz was what I expected as what I made was quite different. I never made the Last Word as I don't have green Chartreuse. The Last Word was more complex than I had anticipated probably because of the green Chartreuse. Fernando used Starbucks coffee in the espresso martini. The coffee was good, but unfortunately overpowered the gin. If we had known, we probably would have asked for a stronger gin. The negroni was good, but not really my kind of drink. I started to like it a bit after some ice melted and the bitter taste was not as dominant. We were the only customers at the bar from 9:30 to 11pm. Appreciated the space all to ourselves and Fernando's drinks and company.
