Poor customer service, staff closed the Fortuna location early & unannounced, they even had active doordash orders they accepted and didn't communicate with the dashers that they were going to close early. Stopped in for a quick coffee and snack while exploring the Redwoods. So glad we stopped! Lots of different drinks, yummy pastries and food/snack options! Stopped here passing through town. Small easily off the free way. The bagels were delicious we got everything bagel with fresh avocado and tomato which were to die for the perfect Road food I'm not a big coffee drinker so I can't really judge coffee and then my husband got a smoothie he was pretty happy with where you're coming from Eureka headed to Sonoma County it's an easy location right off the freeway and easy to get right back on I'll definitely be stopping here while we're passing through again read more

Cute, surprisingly modern coffee shop serving up what you'd expect from such a place (coffee, lattes, tea, "coffee drinks" etc). Cute interior space to hang out and read/chat/work (or in my case: knit) and staff have been friendly. Wonderful coffee, and amazing friendly staff. The drive through moves right along. But, oh my goodness, their breakfast sandwich is TO DIE FOR! The first time I thought maybe it was just an exceptional day for breakfasts sandwiches but I have had them several times, and they are perhaps the best breakfast sandwiches in the world. They make them fresh to order. None of this fishing a bag out of the freezer and throwing it in a fancy microwave. You get a choice of bread and I always get the multigrain, with cheddar, sausage, and tomato. There are other choices but those are the majors. The ratios of sausage to bread and egg are perfect, and every one I have gotten has been cooked to perfection. read more

Shotz used to be my go to coffee place when I lived here. The coffee and food was great. The service was okay but it was worth it for the drinks/food. I make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in town, which is only a few times a year. Ever since they changed ownership the shop has gone waaaay down hill. I don't usually like leaving bad reviews but honestly....they deserve it. Slow & unfriendly service, sub par coffee, and just not a great experience. On our way out of town, my family and I stopped at Shotz for a quick breakfast. It was recommended to me by the concierge at our hotel, and he did us a great favor by telling us about this cafe. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that basically amounts to an egg mcmuffin, the big differences being the number of options you have as to its contents, and the vastly superior taste. Fresh ingredients make a huge difference. What I would most like to recommend is the chai shake. It's a milkshake made with chai tea. I have never seen this offered anywhere before, which is a shame because it was delicious. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was both relaxing and classy. read more

If you like coffee and rude service go here. Last time I went for a drive up: Waiting for the car in front to leave. Driver's sitting, talking to the window person. And talking and talking. I time it figuring its a wait for a drink time. At the 4 min mark, a few friendly exchanges, a wave, and then it's my turn. I get to the window when the window person starts a non work conversation with her partner. This was after she saw me drive up. I just moved backed to the region. I work from my laptop and usually work from home. I wanted to get out of the house and usually love local coffee shops. I bought my coffee and asked where an outlet was to charge my computer. I was directed to where I could use one. After sitting there 5 minutes was told by another barista, "Hey, you can't charge your computer here." I had to leave because I had low battery. There is absolutely no customer appreciation here. The coffee is very good but Shotz lacks customer service to people whom are not regulars (my observation). I'm here for my daughters college graduation and she recommended I come here for coffee. I freaking love SHOTZ! I have since I was a kid blame them for my addiction to blended white mocha's.

This is my 3rd and last time ordering from Shotz. I wish they had better customer service. I don't understand how your deliveries take an hour, but you can post on IG 3 times within that hour. I only order delivery if I must and once again they do not come through when needed. I feel petty for making the review... but how are you gonna change if you don't know. Whether you go through the drive through or go inside this cozy coffee shop, the barista's are friendly. Coffee is OK service is terrible. Order is right about half the time. No matter how nice i am to the people behind the counter they ignore you and take a LONG time to take and make your order. When I brought my drink back that was the wrong one they acted very annoyed and then tried to charge me for the new drink too. Just went back to give it one more try and the girl took a full 3 minutes to acknowledge me because she was busy flirting with some guy in the drive thru like a wildabeast in heat. The crew there is always so friendly and don't hesitate to recommend you something different for your drink and I always enjoy the recommendations because most of the time there always right. Stopped in Fortuna for a latte while visiting for Avenue of the Giant marathon. They were busy but still took my order and produced the tea and latte in less than ten minutes. Friendly staff passed me the 24oz big boy triple espresso latte and hot tea. Better half said tea was good. The coffee was good but still not quite as good as Jitter Bean. I would have given 5 stars for service, pastries, and drinks, until the owner/manager came up and removed my phone from charging in the wall and told me to "get a motel.". She apparently has a strict "No charging" policy, and a strong prejudice against cyclists and travelers. When I apologized, and explained that a gentler approach would have been appreciated, she began to shout at me, and told me to get out. Other customers were looking on, and I'm far more embarrassed for her than for myself. It was the rudest treatment I've gotten since Seattle, biking all the way down the coast. read more

Been coming here for years since it opened, they've had highs and lows as far as employees go. Just passing through on our way down to San Jose, and discovered this little gem. My boyfriend got a bagel sandwich, and I got a breakfast burrito - both were delicious! The ingredients tasted super fresh (especially the amazing avocado I requested for on top of my burrito)!! I also got a latte, and it was fabulous - better than Starbucks (no joke)! If you're looking for a nice coffee & food break, this is your spot. It's totally unexpected and a little out of the way if you're driving down the 101, but it's well worth the detour! read more

I am in here at least once a week and I really like it here for lots of reasons. The owner and the girls working are always super friendly and helpful and the coffee is awesome.
