Do not have your vehicle serviced here unless you want to experience conveniently "forgotten" and unwaivable $100+ surcharges. My partner dropped his Civic off for $3600 in repairs/maintenance Monday prior to a week-long trip. He informed the service department that I, his girlfriend, would be picking the vehicle up when it was ready and that I'd be using his credit card to pay for the service. On Wednesday, Honda's service department called me repeatedly (while I was at the vet euthanizing a beloved pet, no less) to let me know the vehicle would be ready the following day--something that easily could have been conveyed via text to me or to my partner. I took a Lyft to pick up my partner's car today and was told that they'd conveniently "forgotten" to mention that services paid for using a credit card would incur a 3% surcharge. This meant an additional $107 would be added to my partner's bill. This surcharge was not communicated to me or to my partner during what amounted to at least 5 phone calls about the service--and they knew I would be using his credit card to pay. I asked if the surcharge could be waived as it was unethical to hide a cost in this way, and was told no. There was "nothing they could do" to waive the surcharge. I asked if they could lower my partner's bill by $107 to make up for what they repeatedly admitted was THEIR mistake. Nope. Apparently paying $3600 for repairs wasn't enough for the folks at Honda to take what would have been a small loss for them, but was yet another financial loss for us. In the end, I was told I could either leave without the vehicle or pay the service total + the surcharge. Had Honda communicated that there was a surcharge for credit card transactions BEFORE telling me to come pick up my partner's car, my partner could have transferred money out of his savings and used a debit to pay instead (a process that would have taken a business day or two). But they did not, because they have zero respect for their customers. This dealer is beyond disrespectful and it's incredibly shady that they'd obscure a $100+ fee in this way. We will not be returning, and for my partner, this was the straw that broke the camel's back--he will not purchase a Honda vehicle again. Editing to add: It is NOT normal to charge a surcharge for credit card transactions at dealers in Phoenix. VW and Toyota on the same Camelback dealer strip do not charge for credit card transactions. They straight up told me they wouldn't give me what my car was worth unless I looked at something more expensive. When I asked for my keys back they played games and didn't care about my time. The salesperson (Aaron McDonald) was rude during the test drive and when I told him I wasn't buying, he acted like a child, literally turned away from me and wouldn't make eye contact or talk to me. I spoke to a manager, who didn't care and never responded to emails. Will definitely never be buying from them. read more

Thanks to Service Advisor Noah Ventura for making my first service visit an upbeat experience! I bought a new Ridgeline in 12/23 and had not been back to Showcase Honda since. Being almost 9/24 and doing errands mid town, I decided to stop in, unannounced. I found the Service Drive-In and located their compact office of advisors staring intently at computer screens. Only one advisor took the initiative to greet me and we walked to my parked truck. He introduced himself as "Noah". I had a ton of questions for Noah and he came back with all of the answers. Noah knew enough to volunteer information I needed without making me cross examine him. He made me feel welcome at the Showcase Dealership. I brought my car to Showcase Honda for a scheduled service appointment due to two warning lights: "keyless start problem" and "emissions system," along with a routine oil change. What followed was one of the most frustrating and disappointing dealership experiences I've ever had. Our service advisor, Sebastian, initially walked us through the process and explained that some repairs may or may not be covered under the MPP warranty. What he failed to mention--critically--was that if any repair was denied coverage, we would be charged a diagnostic fee. That was never communicated clearly, nor was it something I knowingly agreed to. Out of the four issues addressed, three were approved under warranty: oil change, tire rotation, and fixing the keyless start issue. The only denial was for the catalytic converter. So why was I being charged a fee for the single denied item, when the majority of the work was approved? It felt deliberately unclear--almost as if the dealership was trying to squeeze extra money out of the situation. Sebastian failed to properly explain what I was signing for, which is unacceptable. But what made this experience even worse was the phone call I had with their so-called "service department manager," Sean. I was appalled by his rudeness and dismissive attitude. He constantly interrupted me, wouldn't let me speak, and completely disregarded my concerns--even when I mentioned that I had a dash cam recording of the interaction. When I asked if their service bay cameras included audio, in hopes of confirming whether Sebastian had actually gone over the details he claimed, Sean refused to address the question. Instead, he arrogantly stated, "My employees are fully capable of doing this job correctly without issues." That level of condescension--especially when combined with the dealership's growing number of negative reviews--was completely unprofessional and tone-deaf. I left feeling disrespected, misled, and taken advantage of. It genuinely feels like this dealership is more interested in maximizing charges than in building honest relationships with its customers. I've been a loyal supporter of the Honda and Berkshire Hathaway brands for years, but after this experience, I can confidently say I will never return to Showcase Honda--or any of their associated dealerships. The worst place to get a vehicle. You call them for a repair warranty. They send you to the GM and he does not answer. You literally have to pay for your repairs regardless if you have the premier warranty. Saying that because you take time off work to get your vehicle service. Their customer service is horrible More of the upper management. I went in to voice a concern and was promised a few oil changes for my bad customer service by someone in charge of financing. She gave me her card and said to contact her when I was ready for the free oil changes. The first time I had to go through their service department they contacted her and she pretended like she didn't know anything about it. She eventually approved it. Then I called back about 3 months later for the second one and I left two voicemail messages never to receive a phone call back. I then called for someone in management in charge to call me back. He or she never called me back. They have no problem sending you emails and text about promotions they have and what a great customer you are but you cannot get them to return your phone calls or keep their promises. I took my Honda in for an oil change at Showcase back in January 2024. What I thought was going to be a relatively quick appointment turned into a two-month battle. As I was waiting in the lobby for my car, a service worker came in and had to break me the "bad news". I was told that my car needed a new Transmission because of a Honda Honda-caused defect, and it was going to be $10,000 for a USED Transmission ANDDDD Honda was not going to cover the costs at all, despite them clearly stating it was Honda-caused. The Honda bulletin had the exact issue listed and the warranty threshold was less than 5 years of ownership and less than 150,000 miles. My car was 5 years and 4 months old with less than 50,000 miles. Like come on, you'd think they would work with me. I asked to speak to the manager at this location on multiple occasions and was told that he didn't have a business card or a contact to be reached at. So was told I had to call Honda corporate, which is exactly what I did. For nearly 2 months my case was being reviewed, and my service agent refused to respond to me for up to 2.5 weeks at a time. I finally requested a new case agent, and in less than 12 hours I was told that my warranty request was denied and that my case was CLOSED. As a last effort I took my Honda to another shop in Tempe and told them the whole story that I had experienced in the previous two months. They came back with absolutely nothing wrong with my Transmission and showed me their test results. I was told by Showcase that there was material flowing through my transmission fluid and that it was not able to be fixed unless I got a new Transmission. The other dealership flushed the fluid and showed me that there was no "material" flowing through my system. So I made the call to do no work to the Transmission, and in March 2025 I have had NO ISSUES with my car and it has been into multiple different shops. I would never recommend this place to anyone, I had a terrible experience and they refused to provide any help with getting my case resolved before corporate Honda took 2 months to deny my request. I thank god that I didn't just pay the $10,000 without looking into this issue. I called Showcase after this whole experience and told them what the other shop found. Customer service spoke to the mechanic that worked on my car about the situation and their response was that he was just recommending what the computer system flagged. HOWEVER, I was told in person when I went for my oil change that physical tests on my vehicle were done to confirm the Transmission needed to be replaced. You guys just wanted my money for a USED TRANSMISSION. What an absolute joke, I was just getting played. My experience was not favorable at all. I drove over 60 miles, round trip, to look at a used car that I was led to believe was still available. They had the stock number and everything for the vehicle I was interested in. When I get there, I'm told that the salesman I had an appointment with wasn't available, so someone else took me out to look at the car. They didn't have the vehicle I was interested in waiting for me. Instead, they tried to deceive me by having an almost identical car ready for me to look at. The car I made the appointment to see and test drive had beige interior and the one presented to me had black interior. This car also had 18K more miles, questionable maintenance history (based on CARFAX), a dented roof and scratches all over the exterior. I informed the salesman that it wasn't the car that I had an appointment to see. He walked around the lot looking for it, went inside and returned to tell me that it was sold in Scottsdale a couple of days prior. So, either they don't know what they are doing or they flat out lied about it being available. Either way, not cool. I decided to take the imposter car for a test drive anyway. After returning, the salesman asked me if I'd like to work on some "aggressive pricing" for the car. Because of my initial experience with this dealership, I opted to not move forward with the purchase. These days, cars should be aggressively priced anyway. By the way, their internet pricing is lower than the price listed on their vehicles. Another tactic to get you on their lot. Based on this experience, I'm very certain that I will never go back to this dealership again and I will warn everyone I know. Out of curiosity, I checked online for their pricing on the imposter car. The price went up $4,000 from what it was 2 weeks ago. Eeesh! As a bonus to this review, I'm going to tell you what NOT to pay for at this dealership or any other dealership. Showcase Honda has a $599 documentation fee, which is absurd. I wouldn't pay more than half of that. Also, don't pay for Nitrogen-filled tires. It's another dealer scam to buff their profit. Regular air already has 78% nitrogen in it and the extra 22% doesn't make enough of a difference to warrant the cost. Another scam is VIN window etching. Don't pay for it. It doesn't deter theft and you can get a kit on Amazon for $25 if you really want it. LoJack, window tint or any extra accessories are things you shouldn't pay for either. Quality window tint shops will charge you less. If they say they can't remove any of these, then make them adjust the price of the vehicle by that much or walk away and go to a dealership that doesn't play as many games. read more

Everything was going smoothly but after the deal was made they gave me a different car than the one I agreed to. I asked multiple times for the correct car that I test drove but they said this was the one I agreed to. I have never been inside of this car. They also refused to give me my paperwork that I signed and wouldn't bring up the key fob logs to see that this wasn't the car I test drove. I'll start my review by saying I have never owned anything besides a Honda. Last month, I was looking to upgrade my 2019 Honda Civic EX with 44k miles. My car was in great condition, no issues whatsoever. I found a 2023 Honda Accord EX- L Hybrid. The dealership was great at working with me to get the accord to a price that worked for me. I gave them my civic with no issues and drove off with my new 2023 accord with 25 miles on it. Before i even hit 1000 miles, I started having issues. Sometimes, my car won't start and gives me a slew of error messages (see photos). I got stuck at the gym the other day for over 30 minutes waiting for my car to actually start. I took it into the dealership and was told "oh we've never seen this before" (sounds reassuring, right?). So I waited for about 3 hours at the dealership while they tried to figure out the problem. They "reinstalled" the software hoping that would solve the issue. NOPE! It happened to me again the very next day. I took my car back in on 6/19/2023. They ended up having to keep it overnight (leaving me carless). On 6/20, I was told the body control module is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. The service advisor said this part is on back order and he would call me on 6/21 with an ETA of when they would get the part. Im still waiting on that call . And I'm still getting stranded in my new car! Not the type of service I expect after spending like $37k at this dealership. They didn't keep the appointment I had scheduled for weeks and instead put me with a newbie salesman who I was immediately warned about by a manager. They started off negotiations by wanting me to lease a Honda CR-V for about $800/month after putting $4k down. That's so laughably absurd that I can only assume it was because I was a single woman. At that point I decided to leave. They'd taken my keys earlier so they could inspect my trade-in. The newbie salesman was frustrated with me for not buying and refused to bring me my keys until a manager could come by and verify that the salesman didn't just let someone walk away without making a sale. When the manager finally emerged with my keys, he informed me he was able to drop the price by about $300/month, and he warned me that if I walked away, I might lose out on the whole $400 of trade-in value they were giving me. A week later, a different manager called to follow up and offered me great pricing. I expressed my frustrations from my prior experience and he wanted to rectify that, so I decided to give them another chance. We communicated via email briefly, and when I told him I was interested in the quote and asked what the next steps were, he ghosted me. My wife and I brought our Honda CRV in for routine service because the service engine light was on. We had an oil change and the service tech indicated everything was checked and it was fine. A couple days later when picking up our car from a valet we noticed our front fog light was not working. My wife called the service dept and the service tech advisor(Ballard) was very condescending to her and said they don't check to ensure lights are working. He told her on the phone our brakes need service. He said he went over all this with us when we picked up the car. He did not. Absolutely nothing about the car was reviewed with us when we picked up our car! The service tech went over nothing with us. He emailed us a copy of the service report today and it doesn't say anything about the brakes needing service, WTF! Is he confusing us with someone else? This dealership is sketchy AF. We will not be bringing our car back here for service because I think they would cause damage to it out of spit. The service tech said he was aware of the service review my wife left for him. WTF! My wife's review said the service tech (Ballard) was very nice but they did not do a through inspection of our car. Why would those survey results not be compiled and overall results shared instead of individual feedback with customer names? I feel like these service techs will take retaliatory action against anyone they perceive as slighting them by not giving them a perfect score on the survey. My wife called to speak to a manager. I doubt she'll receive a call back. Best advice, Go to another Honda dealership. 1.20.23 Follow up to my last review, the light for our flat tire (low air pressure) came on when we were driving on the highway. It's never done that before so we thought we had a flat tire. Nope, the tire air pressure monitor had to be reset. Buyer beware! We purchased a beautiful, almost new, used Lexus from Showcase Honda. No complaints about the car. However, this is a warning to beware of the "deal'! We agreed to a number for our paid-off trade and a final amount owed. Although we intended to pay cash, they told us to finance and we would get a better deal. while we waited for the finnance guy, the sales rep came by to ask how we intended to pay the $5000 cash down. They were getting a paid for newer car and there had been no indication of more cash down. We dodged that bullet by refusing to pay. Once in front of the finance guy, he told us the car was out of manufacturer's warranty and told complete lies about the risk of the hybrid battery failing and at huge cost to us. Sadly, we allowed ourselves to be bamboozled through his scare tactics and fast talking into the warranty which started out as $2500 for the Premium package and ended up $3200 for the Silver package with no disclosures of the changes. Once home and after reviewing all the documents and researching the manufacturer's warranty, which still has 28 months remaining, I placed calls to the Customer Relations Manager and the Used Car General Manager. Neither has returned my calls. From my perspective, the dealings with the finance guy were absolutely fraudulent. If I could give zero stars I would, I don't even know where to begin with how bad my experience was. I went to test drive a vehicle and when we got back I had my friend help me check the lights and some other things to make sure everything worked. The salesman laughed at the fact that I wanted to check these things then proceeded to tell me that I have nothing to worry about because they do a 200 point check on all of their vehicles. When we go back inside to talk about price he is talking so fast that I can't even understand what he was saying. When I went back to talk with the finance gentleman he was also talking so fast I couldn't understand him. He was trying to sell me the usual add ons that all dealerships do but the difference was he would not take no for an answer. I had to tell him no at least 10 times and when he finally listened to me he was extremely rude. Fast forward to an hour after I drove off the lot. I go get some food and when I get back in my car it won't start. After calling the salesman and trying a few different things I end up having the car jump started and I drive back to the dealership. They tell me I can leave multiple times (but I have work in an hour and no vehicle to get there so I tell them no and i'll wait until we know what the problem is) after telling them no I am staying multiple times they come out to tell me they tested the battery and it is not the issue and they can't test anything else until the next day and again tell me I can leave. The next day I call for an update and they tell me that the battery was in fact the problem. At this point I am on the fence about keeping this vehicle and they tell me I can take it for a day to have it tested/checked out by a third party of my choice. They tell me they have paused all financing and will only resume and finalize it when I decide to keep the car. I take it to autozone and the battery check is good but the alternator check is failing. When I take the vehicle back to the dealership to return it they ask me if they fixed the alternator would I keep the car? This is first of all a problem the should have been found in their "200 point check" and second of all should have been fixed when I brought it back the first time. After returning the car I then get a call from the bank I financed through telling me that my payments would start in august... But the dealership told me that nothing when through to them and nothing was finalized. I strongly recommend you do not trust the dealership when looking to buy a car. All they want is the sale and do not care at all about getting you a reliable car. read more

GO ELSEWHWERE. Went to get my AC fixed, as there is a factory defect on the AC Compressor Shaft seal leak. Devin Suzuki told me that my AC issues were cause by the evaporator being out and that I needed to replace it, which cost 2000 and was not covered under the warranty. I refused, and took the car to an independent auto shop, who did a diagnostic and said it was the AC Compressor Shaft Seal that was causing my issues. I took it to a different Honda dealership, and they fixed the defect for free with no issues. Now my AC is blowing cold. Rather than fix a Honda defect, showcase Honda tried to charge me $2000 for something completely unrelated. Showcase honda uses predatory tactics to get you to spend as much money as possible and not even fix your issue, especially if you are woman. I will never come here again. I have attached proof, original was showcase Hondas recommendation that I replace the evaporator, second is another shops diagnostic, and 3rd is another dealership fixing the issue for me. read more

The sales team at Showcase Honda knowingly sold us a car that had been infested with rats and contaminated with rodent feces and urine. We have no doubt that once they got it to the dealership, they became painfully aware that their buyer had made a terrible purchase at auction. We are kicking ourselves for not listening to our intuition feeling that this 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo with 11,162 miles on it was too good to be true. After the painstaking process of negotiating the cost of the car minus all the ridiculous unfounded fees they tried to tack on to the car, we were prepared to purchase once we saw the inspection report. The sales team (Cedric and Brandon) refused to share the "182/112-point inspection report that they promised they complete on EVERY car". This number kept changing and then they later denied saying this and that this was only done on their certified Hondas. We were, however, able to talk them into sending us a list of repairs, which should have been another red flag. Because within 10 minutes of getting the car home, based on the repairs, the nibble marks I found on the user manual when we pulled it out and the fact that the strong chemical smell of the deodorizer, they used to cover up the smell of rodent pee wore off, it all clicked. Again, I put this together within 10 minutes of getting the car home. I have no doubt that the technician was very clear about what he was repairing and attempting to cover up.I immediately took this rat cage to my mechanic who informed me that the engine compartment was filled with rat excrement and that several visible wires had been compromised due to the rats gnawing on them. There was even electrical tape used to try to seal the tubing from the antifreeze/coolant overflow that was still leaking. The wires to the car's computer system were also chewed on as well as several others. Who knows what was going on throughout the parts of the car that couldn't be seen. The entire process was reminiscent of an archaic used car sale. I thought dealers had moved past such cheesy and condescending sales tactics. I was made to feel terrible because I was trying my best to negotiate a fair price (without a bunch of hidden fees) but also to ensure that the car was safe for my teenage son to drive.Fortunately, after I called Steve Tucker (director of used car sales) and let him know what my mechanic had found, he agreed to let me return the car. I was told by a different associate I was "lucky" because they didn't have to take it back. I am thinking not divulging that a car was infested with disease carrying rodents that had compromised several wires, belts, hoses ect and selling it is likely illegal, I did not feel at all "lucky". Actually, quite concerned for our health since there was rat poop found in the air filter system. Heard of hantavirus, it's what killed Gene Hackman's wife. Steve assured me and my son that we would get our down payment back the next day but refused to give us any paperwork confirming the return and/or refund. It has now been 5 days since I returned the car, and I still don't have my seven grand.. I am very surprised that I have not heard back from Jerry Green the GM with an apology after sending him an email with my concerns. I just want my money back in a prompt manner so we can move on from this disgusting experience, but my calls and emails are now being ignored. This experience was GROSS all the way around. 5 stars for Cassie Allen! When my oil light came on, I called Showcase Honda and Cassie immediately fit me in! Wonderful!! She gave me the impression that SH really did want to provide stellar service and take care of Honda owners! The 3.5 stars are for the fact that they no longer wash your car, while they have a waiting room- there are no magazines to read, 1 television to watch (with no car ads) and they Do Not call your name if your vehicle is ready. I sat from 1:30 to 4:50 in the waiting room, fell asleep, woke up, and slept again..... waiting. While I totally understand that I "only" have a Honda, I can't expect to be treated as if I have a luxury vehicle, but does that mean I have to lower my expectation of amenities? I bought my vehicle at a Mercedes dealership- because I like Honda's. There, I had coffee, snacks, phone charging ports. At SH, there's only water. There might be coffee, but, I'm not in the business of going thru drawers to find out where everything is. And did I mention- they don't wash your car- I was told it was because their car wash machine is old and might scratch the paint. I believe that means it's time to update the machine- OR maybe, possibly look into hand washing?? I think I was spoiled by Lexus- they even provided a loaner vehicle when I got service. I guess I can blame the pandemic. Overall, while SH needs major updating, their Customer Service hasn't fallen to the wayside. 8am appointment for routine oil change, mentioned minor secondary issue with key fob. After waiting 2 hours, told we were still 'in line' for fob for issue so hadn't even started on oil change..it'd be another hour and a half for that. Unbelievably poor customer service. Extremely disappointed and will probably not come back here for service. read more

I purchased from this dealership about a year ago and still think of how I should have just walked out from the start. It felt like a hostage negotiation. Anytime I asked if one thing could be adjusted in the deal, it took the sales associate 30 mins to go "talk to his manager" before I got my answer. I asked for a basic auto protection package but was immediately pitched the most expensive premium package. Sales associates high-fiving each other after closing the deal with me - weird. I suggest reading what they write up every time because if you ask for one thing to be changed, they might change it, but they probably changed something else in the "deal" without saying anything. More than anything, I'd suggest just going to any other Honda dealer. read more

I waited in line at Showcase Honda for an oil change, arrival at 12:02, ordered some Chick-fil-A knowing it would probably be a decent wait for my car to be serviced. Sat in my car 20 minutes before i got greeted or acknowledged lol. Was told they would get somebody to help me when i finally was asked if i had been helped yet. When they took me to an advisor i told him i needed an oil change, i was asked if i could get a scheduled appt even tho i was standing right there in front of him I said no I'm here right now and i just need an oil change. He said he wouldn't be able to service the vehicle today i decided i best take my car somewhere else for a simple oil change. Really great experience here. Brought our Civic in for service and Kevin was a great rep. Did a great job helping to address our concerns and got back to us in a timely manner. When we came to pick up the car, we did see our dream car on the lot so we ended up looking at it with the salesman Diego. Another great guy, never pressured us into anything and was always clear with our options. We ended up trading our Civic in for the car and they did give us fair value for it. I purchased a used Jeep Cherokee 4 months ago. There was a noise in the tire area. They said I will have a warranty. The noise is prominent and I took it into a local dealer. The dealer said that it was my struts and mounts, that Showcase gave me the cheapest warranty available and it doesn't cover what I needed. Then, it took 4 months to get my license and registration. They sold this Jeep to me without even having the title. I got a refund check for overpayment for license fees and their check BOUNCED!! It's been one fiasco after another! read more
