    Old fashioned

It's an airport bar- I get that. Listen I was born in the 1900s. * I don't want a QR menu * The old fashioned was slightly worse than an Applebees Old fashioned. * you can only pay cash or QR code- what the actual F? Here's my card for crying out loud. Not a fan

Ham & Cheese Omelette,Round Potatoes, toast

We grabbed breakfast before I flight out to Las Vegas. We sat ourselves. It wasn't that busy. A few families were sitting waiting. Not sure how long tho. The server came over. John asked for water. I wanted hot water with lemon. The server stated that hot water isn't available. I'd need to go to the coffee spot across the way if I wanted hot water. No worries, I ordered the Ham and cheese omelette with roasted potatoes. Hubby ordered French toast with bacon and OJ. It took a while for the food to come up. It was not hot. Both orders were just warm. For the price of airport food, expectations are to at least receive hot food. Hubby told me not to complain. I ate what I could and went on about my morning.

    Absolutely NOT crispy bacon

Do NOT eat here for breakfast! Explore other options at JIA. My husband and I chose to eat here because there were plenty of open seats and we did not have a whole lot of time before our flight left. It is a seat yourself type of restaurant and as soon as we sat down, we realized that there was no need for a waitress. They are still using the QR code as a menu so not only do you seat yourself but you also input your own order own food. For breakfast, the menu is very limited and only one option (only about 20-30 character spaces in the text box) to personalize the meal to your preferences. I asked for egg whites only and wanted extra crispy bacon. I never had the option to choose. What type of bread that I wanted, either. The waitress never came to the table for anything before we ordered our food other than for our drink order. After bringing our food to the table she inform me that they did not have egg whites. They used egg-beater (boxed type) eggs. I didn't order any bread yet they brought me un-buttered toast, and filled the plate with enough potatoe pieces that they consumed nearly 1/2 the place. The bacon I received was NOWHERE near extra crispy..... it was NOTHING but fat! The waitress never returned to the table see how our meals were nor to bring us our receipt. That is when we realized that you could scan a different QR code to make your payment. However, that option was not working at the time we were there. We had to track down the waitress in order to pay the bill before we could even leave to catch our flight. THIS lack of customer service and human interaction is NOT pleasant nor does it make for a positive experience in the food industry! Breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day.... Today ours was lacking BIG TIME! I'd recommend trying one of the retail stores in the airport for a pre-packaged honey bun before I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Ivy and Victoria are amazing!!! They made a hurricane day at the airport the best!! We had dinner at the bar here and had great food and really exceptional service. Victoria was down to make off menu cocktails and happy to put our order in when their app didn't work for us. The burger, ceasar salad and sweet potato fries were really fresh and super delicious. We had a great time talking with the staff and with other patrons and it was truly one of the best airport food experience I've had!

So called turkey club at sandwich

After reading some reviews of this restaurant which we had a high expectation of even though at the airport we decided to give it a shot. Seated ourselves , waitress said we could QR code the order or she'd take it. Easy enough order .. Turkey club sandwich, white all the toppings it comes with- nothing extra just what was on the menu. Ordered a beer and an espresso martini ... bout five minutes after the initial order was put in I decided to order a chicken Caesar salad. Drinks came out . Can't mess up a beer in the bottle but the espresso martini was so sad looking.very little froth and just meh.. disappointing.. now on to the meals... want to guess whose came out first?? The club sandwich or chicken Caesar that was order 5 minutes after the club?? Yep , you guessed right, the late order Caesar salad. Very odd . After a few minutes of waiting the club sandwich arrived. Took a bite of the grilled chicken Caesar and the chicken was crunchy- not good. Tried another piece and got the same texture. Ughh. Tried to be a good sport and just ate the lettuce . Moving on to the club sandwich . Well- just look at the pics and think if this wasn't the lamest looking club sandwich. Shula's has a reputation for great food.. this airport one didn't do it justice. The server was great and yes we had to pay the bill on QR code .. we won't be back.. sorry Shula's y'all have to try better.

Mahi, mash, and asparagus. Decent quality but small portion for $27 pre tax and tip

I was going to give a 3 star review to be honest until the check came. I tried to give the waitress my credit card and she said she couldn't take it and I had to scan a QR code to pay? I have an old phone and never scan QR codes, what a silly idea to force it. I paid cash instead. The food was decent for airport food. I got the mahi mahi with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It tasted pretty good and the mash tasted homemade. The portions were a little sparse hence all the blank space on the plate. Especially for $27 pre tip and tax.

We were flying out of gate A at 12:30 and decided to have lunch here at 11. Service was fairly quick. We both ordered a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was actually very nicely seasoned and tasty. The salad was also a nice size with plenty of greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, eggs, and croutons. We would eat here again.

    App not working to order...

Basic airport bar & grill with a pretty standard bar food menu. I had the Shula burger and fries; burger was tasty but not cooked per order. Lagunitas IPA and a water to wash it all down. Table QR code to order which wasn't working but server quickly came by, took my order, and was pleasant and efficient. Check is again via their QR code, which worked for paying. Decent food and a cold beer before my flight to my next destination.

Last year, we ate at Shula's at JAX and I loved it. Not sure what happened over the last year, but this weekend was a much different experience. I ordered the steak sandwich and what I got was one slab of chewy beef on a roll. I never return a meal, but this was inedible. The only reason I even give 2 stars is because the server was very nice and swapped it for a burger. If you're stopping in here, go for the burger and a drink, that's the safe way to go.

A Welcome Surprise at the End of a Long Travel Day…read more"Sometimes the best meals are the ones you never expected." After a long day of travel delays and missed meals, we landed in Jacksonville hungry and exhausted. Our flight from Dallas arrived more than five hours late, our luggage took forever, and by the time we finally made it to the car it was past 9:15 at night. At that hour we knew our dining options were limited. As we drove away from the airport we spotted Ruby Tuesday with its lights still on and decided to give it a try. It is not the type of restaurant we typically review, but this turned out to be one of those nights when a simple meal becomes memorable because of the people and the experience. Ambiance and Décor Ruby Tuesday is exactly what you expect from a national restaurant near the airport. Clean, simple, and located in a commercial area frequented by travelers and hotel guests. The décor will not win design awards, but what stood out to us immediately was how warmly we were welcomed. We were the only guests in the restaurant and it was clear the staff was hoping to close up soon, yet they greeted us with genuine kindness. After the day we had, that meant more than they probably realized. Menu and Drinks After hours without food, the Ruby Refresher caught my attention right away and it hit the spot perfectly. Susan ordered a cosmopolitan. The bartender was new and still learning, and the first drink was not quite right. The staff handled it beautifully and remade it without hesitation. The second version was fantastic. Their professionalism and friendliness turned a small hiccup into a positive moment. The menu is extensive and offers plenty of comfort food choices, especially for tired travelers looking for something satisfying. Food Quality I ordered the triple smash burger with onion rings and it was exactly what I needed. Maybe it was the long day, maybe it was the hunger, but it tasted fantastic. Susan chose the tilapia special with shrimp. The dish was prepared very well with flavorful rice and a sauce that struck the right balance of seasoning and spice. For a late night meal at a chain restaurant, the food exceeded our expectations. Service This is where Ruby Tuesday truly excelled. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely caring. They treated us like valued guests even though we were the last table of the night. Their attitude turned what could have been a forgettable meal into an experience we appreciated. Value and Pricing The pricing was very reasonable for both the quality and the portions. It is exactly what you hope for in a restaurant catering to travelers. Overall Experience Walking in we did not expect much. Walking out we were pleasantly surprised. The warm service, well prepared food, and welcoming atmosphere made this a far better experience than we imagined when we pulled out of the airport parking lot. Ruby Tuesday may not be a destination restaurant, but on this night it was exactly what we needed. The Culinary Duo Rating:

Worst restaurant experience in years. I would never recommend this location. Absolute disaster of a…read morerestaurant. It took nearly 3 hours to get out of there. FOOD: - Tater tots were truly excellent! Chicken nachos appetizer was solid. Everything else (boneless wings, buffalo chicken dip) was not appetizing or visually appealing. The Pick-Six value deal was not worth it. The boneless wings were small, way more breading than meat, and the flavor was overpowering. - Had to take a Pepto Bismol tablet last night and an OTC anti-gas/anti-diarrhea pill this morning because of the food. I felt very sick on my stomach this morning. Kept that private from the group I went with. Another guest in our party messaged me today and said, "I think those wings destroyed my stomach." I think so, too! SERVICE / EXPERIENCE: - Slowest service I've seen in years. It took 10-15 mins to place drink orders, over 40 mins to order appetizers, and we were at least 60 mins in before we ordered our entrees. - Other large tables got their food / were served before we were, even though they were seated 20-30 mins after us. - Loud atmosphere, difficult to hear the people at our own table. Cherry on top: the card payment machine was continually malfunctioning and it took an additional 40 mins for our table to pay for our food. We still left respectable tips (20%, 25%, etc.) for our server out of respect for her, as this is her job. However, this restaurant is TERRIBLE. Terrible food, service, and the worst experience in a restaurant I've had in years. Never coming back to this place.
