Ambience was lovely - we ate outside in the patio. Service was excellent as well. But the best feature was the food. Delicious and authentic. We are not from Grants Pass. After driving for 8 hours, we stopped for the night and checked into a hotel and searched for the closest Mexican restaurant. The search turned up a different restaurant but upon arrival, we noticed that there was another Mexican restaurant across the street called Si Casa Flores, from here on to be known as SCF because I'm lazy. SCF was far superior in looks and the parking lot was packed in comparison. We ditched the other place and are so glad for those change of plans. Even though it was a busy Saturday night, we could get right in at the bar where we could order from the full menu. SCF offered a drink special, blackberry margaritas, both frozen and on the rocks, rimmed with sugar that were amazing!! We had excellent service from the start. Water and chips were served right away. We ordered an enchilada combo plate and the large nachos. Generous portions with fabulous flavor on both. Not to mention a very reasonable bill! Wish we had this SCF in our hometown! But if we ever get back to Grants Pass, we will make a pint of eating there again! read more

I used to go to this place every time I was in the area I stopped at another restaurant and just remembered that we used to stop at this si Casa Flores I don't think we'll do that again. The food was nasty. I mean I'm a Mexican and I know Mexican food. This was not even as good as Taco Bell. I've never experienced this kind of food there before and now the service was excellent they try. They are not to blame for the food but we will not be eating there again. Visiting Grants Pass and looked up local restaurants in the area. This place populated and we were not disappointed. Walking in was a pleasure as we were greeted immediately by the hostess. The place is legit on the inside and my family and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Cool water feature where we were sitting and there was even someone making fresh tortillas.. ** yes like homemade fresh ** I was a fan. Waiters were prompt and on point, gracious and funny. I chose the ceviche and it was very good! My dad had the shrimp salad and my mom chile relleno with rice and beans. I thought the prices were justified with amount of food that you get. Well where do I start. A few weeks ago several customers became ill due to a salmonella outbreak. More recently the establishment was closed due to several employees testing positive for Covid 19. There are several Si Casa Flores in the area All have been infected with one or the other issues more than once. I have lived in Grants for almost 20 years and have patronized the Grants Pass location several times but will not set foot in one again. It seems Mr. Flores is more interested in his bank account than the well being and the safety of his patrons. The choice is yours! read more

I've been coming here for years and love how consistently they prepare their dishes! My favorites are Enchiladas Verde with chicken, chicken and rice soup, carne asada quesadilla, fajitas. I've tried many dishes and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is large and clean. The owners have made improvements to the patio and to the building and it makes for nice seating options depending on the weather and all of the other issues they've had to deal with. Nacho had no chips, bean burrito was just refried beans in flour tortilla no cheese no enchilada sauce, fajita burrito no enchilada sauce or cheese. $6.50 for a dry refried bean burrito. My husband and I are huge Mexican food people. We were driving by here and I thought it looked like a fun little place for lunch. The inside looked just like the places we have eaten in in Mexico so that was nice. We were seated quickly and didn't have to wait long for chips and salsa which were delicious. The menu was pretty expansive and seemed like there was something for everyone. I had a basic 2 item combo and have no complaints. My husband got the fajita burrito and it was the biggest burrito I have ever seen in my life. Definitely shareable!! Our server was very attentive and our bill was reasonable. I recommend si casa express and not si casa Flores. Dishes were dirty, food was cold. The water cup had a lipstick stain, my soup had a plastic wrapper!!!! It also only had two shrimp, half a crab leg and the veggies in the soup were raw, not cooked at all. It was just not good and super expensive. When I told the waiter my cup had lipstick stains he didn't seem at all bothered, didn't offer to comp us the soup that has the plastic wrapper in it, put it on the table next to the entrance with the wrapper still in the soup. I just don't recommend this place at all. We spent $105 on three sea food soups and a taco plate dinner and we honestly left feeling disgusted. I gave it a 2 star because the horchata was okay, but honestly I should give it a one star. read more

I ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice & beans, the rice was very Americanized. It had peas & carrots, with very bland flavor. The beans were salty & my boyfriend swears it's canned beans. The chicken enchilada was dry inside, I'm more used to the enchiladas that melt in your mouth. I also ordered a blended margarita, usually being light weight & hardly ever drinking, I didn't even get a buzz off the margarita. Only a headache. When you think of your average large family Mexican restaurant, this is it. What makes this place different then the other average family Mexican restaurants, is a few things...but important enough to not to go to other others. :) First and foremost, they have HUGE margaritas. Huge as in 20 bucks yes....but huge. And they are well done. Strong and tasty. Worth it. Yes. We shared. They have fabulous employees. So so nice and accommodating. When we are running low on chips or salsa...they are there to switch em. Water getting low? Ya...no. Even the owner it seemed stopped by to give us a smile and polite chit chat. Just awesome service. Third, it's very clean and nice inside. No scattered rice and chips on the floor, none in the walls, lol like many a Mexican restaurant has...again that comes down to a pride level the employees have for their restaurant. Love that!! :) I gave four not five stars as their food is very average. But the above pluses give them a large lead above the others in the area. Oh and btw, they are really easy off the I5 exit. QUE LINDA! What a gem we found after crossing the border into Oregon. We would've eaten anything but I saw this place first and we pulled into the lot. It wasn't very far off the freeway and we found parking quite easily. It was really crowded inside (good sign) and on top of all the people-watching this made possible, the were decorations everywhere! So much money and time must have gone into this place. It was really amazing inside. Even the bathrooms were awesome! We ordered a large nacho to share, and a beer for me. $17.20 for both. The nacho was a lot of food, but it had all sorts of toppings (beans, etc) that really made the chips soggy so we decided next time we order nachos, anywhere, we just want a cup of cheese, some jalapenos for me, sour cream for him, and a plate of warmed chips :) The service was really good. We had our server helping us as well as a very charming bus boy who brought me limes for the chips that came out before the nachos (we ended up using some of these with the actual nacho plate). The regular basket was served with bean dip, and a medium-mild salsa. Both were great. Really glad we stopped here. Though, we left super full and much less motivated to keep driving! read more

This is the best Mexican food in grants pass. You get a lot for your money. I had the Grande Beef Enchiladas. And for 9$ I got a lot of food. I was almost full before my meal even came out. After a five year stint away from GP, we went to this restaurant for dinner. Five years ago, this was great food. Now, it's frozen entrees smothered with cheese. How very disappointing. Also disappointing was the service. Do yourself a favor restaurant owners, and take those stray tables away from service areas and near the kitchen. People get a real bird's eye view as to how clean your restaurant is, and how your employees work as well. When I went back (out of principle) to get my money back, the owner hid in the back and wouldn't refund me my money. Wrap your head around that- so cheap to not refund an unhappy customer (let alone one with food poisoning) is very telling. Also they were out of triple sec, and this is a Margarita joint WTF? Then the waiter was absolutely garbage. No refills on drinks until check came. No extra chips when food took FOREVER. This place has serious serious problems! Outstanding remodeled facility. Nicely done decor definitely adds to the dining experience. Weather permitting, the outdoor dining area makes dining an even more wonderful experience. The food for our past four visits has been excellent. I believe the finest greeting you get at a Mexican restaurant is the offering of quality chips and salsa / bean dip. You arrive starving and aromas drive you crazy. If you get cold gritty chips, your expectations of the food are already lowered. No problems here -- just excellent food. We've been here with four groups, and everyone has enjoyed every aspect of their meals and Margheritas. The delicious food and atmosphere remind me of San Antonio, Texas, Riverwalk, and Market Square. I hope to see the quality endure over the years. read more
