    Crab Fried Rice
    Derek L.

Overall: Delicious food, great drinks but just way too hot inside. A must try, but not on a hot summer day. Food: Tom Yum, and Pad Thai were delicious, easy 10/10. Crab fried rice, 8/10, good but nothing special and kinda mild in flavor. Inside: Inside is hot, I don't think their AC works or if it does it's very weak, was uncomfortable to sit in there on a hot summer day. Service: 8/10, very friendly but forgot to fill up waters and rarely asked if we needed anything.

Came on a Thursday night for dinner and it wasn't too busy. Got seated right away before the dinner rush and the staff were friendly. I got the tofu pad see ew with mild spicy and it was so good ! I get pad see ew everywhere and this was one of the best I've had. We also got the shrimp moon pancake (I forgot what it's called haha) but it was light and not too heavy, perfectly crispy. My bf got the hainan chicken and the chicken was soft and the rice and soup were fragrant.

My friends and I came here for dinner before our skating session and I was very pleased with my experience! Service was super quick and friendly and it was a cute little space. We decided to family style a few different dishes. The pad see ew was savory and the beef and veggies both tasted fresh. We also got the creamy tom yum soup, which had a perfect balance of tartness and creaminess and was very aromatic because of all the veggies. We loved having it with some rice! Lastly, our favorite dish was definitely one of their specials, the moo tod nam pla. It was a pork belly dish with a tangy fish sauce! The pork belly was so tender and juicy, and I alao loved the sauce! I I would definitely come back just get that one again!

Came here for the first time with friends and ordered a bunch of food to share. Some of my favorites: - Crispy Rice Salad: packed a great punch with the fish sauce, fermented pork, and lime but it's mild compared to the more authentic version - Creamy Tom Yum Soup: I was very surprised as I'm use to the classic tom yum. The creaminess added another layer of flavor and was so delicious! - Panang Curry: I don't usually go for the curry but this one was very flavorful and went well with white rice And also couldn't go wrong with the usual pad thai and mango sticky rice. Service was also super friendly and ambiance is very casual so a great spot to hang with friends!

After walking past this place for the last 2 years, we finally gave it a go and I'm glad we did (we've been back multiple times since). The staff are always kind and the pad thai is flavorful with noodles that have such a perfectly bouncy texture to them.

Overall the food was good. We chose medium spicy for the tom yum but wasn't as spicy as we expected and tasted more like mild spicy. Really enjoyed the roti and curry, will have to come back and try the other curry. There were two ladies serving on the floor. They were pretty nice and quick with serving and taking orders. The restaurant is not the biggest but there are some outdoor seating. So definitely expect to wait if you go during a lunch or dinner rush.

Great ambiance, service, and food quality! Standouts were the shrimp appetizer shaped like triangles and the blue mango sticky rice with a toasty flavor! Will be back!!

This is Siam Station's 2nd location in Irvine. It's much nicer inside than their other location and has quite a bit more seating. I ordered the following items across 2 visits with a group of friends. Garlic pepper chicken - $16 - This was a great protein heavy dish consisting of chicken cooked in a garlic and soy sauce with black pepper. It was aromatic and reasonably priced. Golden shrimp donut ($18 for 4) - This appetizer consisted of shrimp cakes deep fried and shaped in the form of a donut. It was a great appetizer that went well with chili sauce, although it was on the pricier side. Holy basil (ground chicken) - $18 - This dish consisted of seasoned ground chicken cooked with aromatic spices especially Thai basil, and topped with a fried egg. It wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out for me with regards to this dish. Thai tea - $5 - The Thai tea here was on the sweeter side but had good strong Thai tea flavors. Green curry chicken - $16 - Made with green curry paste, chicken, coconut milk, bamboo shoots, chilis, and basil, the dish was not as rich and creamy as I had hoped for. It was a little too watered down. Pad Thai - $16 - This dish was well executed here, consisting of rice noodles with egg, chicken, bean sprouts, green onions, tamarind sauce, and topped with peanuts. It was sweet, savory and a little bit tangy. Pad see ew - $16 - This was prepared with wide flat noodles in a sweet soy sauce and egg. I preferred the pad Thai over this. Mango sticky rice - $12 - The mango slices in here were so ripe and juicy and went well with the warm and sticky coconut milk rice. It was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall Siam Station is a solid spot for Thai dishes. There are some dishes I would pass on, but I would definitely stop by if I'm craving Thai food. Service was fast and efficient.

We love this place. The food is so good and so healthy! Your body will feel so must positive energy from eating fresh Thai Food. Wanting to explore some new dishes, we ventured out and ordered the Yum Woon Sen salad!! It is now our favorite dish. I order it with extra shrimp. It has the most delicious combination of glass noodles, fruit, veggies, and shrimp. It is crunchy, tangy, lemony, sweet and sour. Just amazing combination of flavors. It is the perfect antidote to a spicy curry or other dish. It cools everything down. Make your body happy and give it some healthy food.

Siam Station is a delicious Thai spot :) I've tried their location by the District but the Cypress Village location is much better by far. The workers are so nice and the restaurant itself is clean, chill, and relatively spacious. Lots of good stuff on the menu here! The noodles in the pad kee mow are perfectly soft and chewy, the panang curry is a great consistency and creaminess, and the spicy beef salad is delicious and fresh. I didn't care too much for the basil fried rice unfortunately - the rice seemed a bit hard but the flavors were good. Otherwise, a very tasty meal! The mango sticky rice is also a must have for dessert :)

i always go to the uci location and so glad there's one near my house now!! i love their pad thai and mango sticky rice. my dad got the khao soi and my mom got the tom kha. everything tastes yummy and service was great too. this location looks a lot better than the one closer to uci so will be coming here often.

    Yellow curry

I came here for the first time with some high school friends back in November on a Saturday evening - it wasn't too busy so thankfully we were seated right away. We ordered three dishes to share: yellow curry, pad kee mow (I think) and crab fried rice. The food was all really delicious - I particularly enjoyed the yellow curry. The fried rice was also very good surprisingly as I am not a fan of crab typically. I also really liked the service - they were very welcoming and accommodating. I'd love to come back again and try the other dishes as well. Overall a great choice for Thai food!

We usually go to their other location, but since it's currently closed for renovation, we decided to try the Cypress Village spotand wow, we're glad we did. We ordered the Siam Station fried rice, Thai-style Hainan chicken, pad thai with prawn, and the Bangkok chili-lime pork. The fried rice was, of course, super tasty. We got it with crispy pork, and they did not disappoint the pork was actually crispy, not soggy like some places. The Hainan chicken was another standout. The sauce is soooo good, and the soup that comes with it tasted really clean and smooth, which I appreciated. Pad thai is always a go-to for me, and theirs didn't miss. I especially like adding their peanut sauce it just makes everything taste even better. One dish that really surprised me was the Bangkok chili-lime pork (I think it's one of their Jeffrey specials?). It's definitely spicy, but in a really good way super flavorful. We sat outside since we had our dog with us, and the staff were really kind. They even brought our pup a bowl of ice water without us asking, which was such a nice touch. They were also very attentive even though we were seated outside.

Show up right at evening opening to even have a chance at getting a table without waiting 1-2 hours. Struggle to find parking. Order food and it kind of takes forever. While waiting for our food, we almost always start to wonder if it's all worth it. And then every time, once the food arrives, that conversation gets dropped. We always order the Manaao Pork Jowl and Khao Soi with braised beef. We also typically order a noodle dish as well. As always, their Khao Soi is fantastic. The flavor is deep and the curry is rich. The beef is always cooked until it falls apart between your chopsticks. The one we were a bit unsure about was why they started to serve the pork jowl with no sauce on the side. We feel like when we first started ordering the dish, the sauce was lightly drizzled on top and served on the side in a small ramekin. Now, all of the sauce comes on top of the pork which seems to have made the dish a bit colder and less crispy. Still, the flavor is dialed, perfectly sweet and tangy. Their noodles are also always fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned. This visit we decided to try a new curry, and went with the Chu Chee Curry with Fried Catfish. This dish blew us away. We were immediately surprised by the generous portion of catfish, which seemed to be a full fried filet. At first, I felt like the batter may have been too thick for my liking. It seemed to be so thick and fried that it would taste crunchy rather than crispy if that makes sense. However, once coated in the curry sauce and enjoyed with the rice, the textures work together perfectly to maintain the crisp of the fry on the fish, which was cooked just right. The curry was light, which meant it didn't overpower the subtle flavor of the fish. We also ordered dessert for the first time off of the recommendation of a friend to try the rice balls in coconut milk with coconut ice cream. The flavor was amazing, and the texture of the rice balls (think mochi but more soft and tender rather than chewy) was very pleasant alongside the crunchy bits of fried mung bean. Our only gripe was that even by the time the dish reached our table, the ice cream was mostly melted. If anything, I feel like serving them separately would help maintain the temperatures, and enjoying them together in that way could create a more satisfying contrast. As always, Manaao is our favorite Thai spot in Orange County. I definitely recommend.

Thai Cafe is a truly authentic Thai spot, so their food is actually spicy, which I really appreciate. What keeps me coming back is literally everything. They are beyond clean, have the best service, their prices are unmatched and, of course, their food is seriously the best. Everything is always fresh and consistent, and I always come hungry! The meats on all the dishes seemed to be par boiled before adding to the stir fry with very little seasoning. You get this rubbery texture when biting in to the beef chicken and squid. The pad kee mao tasted like it was cooked with some Lao ga ma chili oil more of a Chinese's take of the dish. Def taste the peppercorn from the sauce throwing off the authentic Thai flavors. Pineapple fried rice was lacking season... just taste like added curry powder with very seasoning to bring out the body of an original pineapple fried rice even a squeeze of lime didn't help... Also ordered the catfish which turned out to be some kind of random fish kinda had the texture of snake head. I asked the waitress "are you sure this is catfish" she answered back with the cook said it is. Clearly wasn't it had scales removed from the skin and tossed in oily sauce instead of the curry that was promised. Really disappointed... the only thing that was good was the water refills... food wasn't balanced either too salty or too bland. Isn't a fine dining experience but typical of a small restaurant.
