Six stars if I could give it that! I just moved to the area and have been looking for a place to replace my local Thai place of three years. I was trying to find a place that made my beloved Tom Kha Kai and this place blew it out of the water! I happened to be near the area and placed a walk-in order (and was so shocked and happy to see their counter filled with To Go orders!) I placed a walk-in order and I wouldn't mind waiting given how busy it was, but was so happy to see a staff member hand me my food after 7 minutes! The portion size for the soup was massive and I had plenty for next day's lunch. Usually Tom Kha is very rich and heavy but theirs was simple, light, and was all around amazing. I am a big fan and have eaten Thai food in many cities and across Southern California. I have given 5 (actually 4.5) stars because of the consistently fresh and delicious food this small restaurant is achieving. I have ordered takeout around 25 times but have never eaten at the restaurant- it is usually packed when I pick up my takeout. It appears to be a fun, lively, cozy atmosphere with friendly waitstaff. My favorites are the fermented e-San sausages (these are just incredible- crunchy and savory with lots of umami), the Prik King, Krapow and larb gai. The flavors pop on all of these dishes with fresh lime, kaffir lime leaves, umami (fish sauce) and savory. I usually eat half of the sausages on my drive home . The pok pok salad is good but the lack of grilled shrimp with it makes it quite expensive for what it is by comparison to other Thai restaurants. Unfortunately the noodles often get soggy and congeal by the time I get them home. I've had some success throwing them in a hot wok but I think the noodles are better eaten at the restaurant (I would think) with less time to congeal. I suspect the lower Yelp reviews may have something to do with this issue. Maybe they could cook the noodles a bit less on takeout orders since they continue to cook/steam for quite a while in the takeout container. Overall this is a very high quality Thai restaurant with excellent l, fresh and delicious food at a decent price. It is worthy of 4.5 stars. read more

Siam Staion is tucked away in a busy corporate center, nestled next to Janny's. Parking is tight and limited during high traffic times. Don't let the simple decor and small space keep you away! This quaint shop packs a tasty punch of all things thai, and the aroma is purely tantalizing. We tried the eggplant basil with filet mignon, pad thai with crispy pork, crab fried rice, potstickers and wings. Everything is delicious but eggplant basil, crab fried rice, and pad thai all fought for center stage. Eggplant and filet mignon was cooked perfectly, the freshness of the basil is prominent. Crab fried rice was a beautiful endless offering with crab in every bite. The pad thai was excellent, noodles were soft, pork was crispy, and flavors was just right. Yum. Yum. Yum. I was a walk in for take out and only waited 15min for my food! Drove home and the dishes were all still hot :) Oh my happy belly, Siam Station I am so glad you're on the map. I'm not sure if we went on an off night but the waitress we had could not have been more rude to both our table and the table next to us. She told the woman next to us who requested a veggie dish that wasn't too spicy that [she] "was at the wrong place if she didn't want spicy food" she then went on to talk about the woman to other waitstaff loudly. She was making such a scene that the whole restaurant was watching her. It made for a very uncomfortable experience. The food was good but our first time experience was definitely ruined. The servers are very welcoming and nice. We sat at the patio, and he asked if we wanted the heater on because it was chilly. It made a difference and made us feel cozy. We ordered the pad thai (taste is on the sweeter side), tom yum soup, fried tofu, and pad see ew. They tasted fine. On the pricier side. They close from 3-4 p.m. It's right next to Janny's Donuts. Got our food so quickly and it was delicious! We arrived at around 5/5:30pm. The restaurant looked pretty busy I wasn't expecting to be seated anytime soon but they were able to seat us right away. We sat outside at a spacious table (which was good because we ended up ordering four dishes: pad see ew, pad woon sen, cashew chicken, and yellow curry. I also got a Thai tea). Considering we ordered a decent amount all at once it came much faster than expected too! All the dishes we had were delicious and good portions. Also very reasonably priced! For how much we got (& how the food was), we remarked to ourselves that it was a good deal when the check came. Customer service was also great! Very friendly staff. Wish I took some pictures to contribute to the post too but it slipped my mind till after left. Overall good experience. A pretty good Thai place! I love Thai food, and have high expectations when it comes to it, and I can say that this place is pretty good, compared to other places that I've tried here in Irvine. My bf dropped me a few recommendations, I saw some good reviews so we decided to try this place out. It was nice that we did! It was good and I can see myself coming back. First off, Siam Station is a small restaurant. Only 8 tables, seating for 2 people each. They have 1 table with 4 seats. There's some seating outside but the restaurant is small that it could pass for a to-go kinda place, as opposed to a sit down kinda place. Be sure to come early or expect a wait! We got in right before the dinner rush last night. We didn't wait long. I waited for maybe like a few minutes for a table I wanted on the inside. After going through reviews and seeing the recommendations, we decided to go with the Khao Soi and the Pad See Ew. The menu is a bit small but it has the main dishes you'd find at a Thai place. We got the Pad See Ew with crispy pork and it was really good! The pork was very crispy, like bacon. It was a good addition to the Pad See Ew. Pad See Ew usually isn't my first go-to, but my bf wanted to get it so we did and it good! The noodles were very soft and the dish overall was very flavorful. The Khao Soi was probably my favorite dish. I really liked the curry. It was so rich and flavorful. Like as if there was fish sauce in there. The noodles were nice and soft. The crispy noodles added a good crunch to the dish. The chicken was tender and so delicious when dipped and drenched in the curry. I liked this dish cause it was really flavorful compared to the Pad See Ew. I dipped everything in the chili sauce and spices and it gave it all such a good kick. Afterwards, we got the Mango Sticky Rice. We got it cause the rice was colored in the photos. The Mango Stick rice was good, but definitely not worth the $11 in my opinion. The serving size was small. I could definitely try to make it at home and a lot more for cheaper. The ambience for the restaurant was nice. It attracts a young crowd, we felt. We were sitting around college students. But understandable cause it's in close driving range of UCI and Diamond Jamboree. The pricing of the food was reasonable for Irvine, but could definitely be cheaper. The Khao Soi was $15 and $3 for the crispy pork. The Pad See Ew was $14. The portion sizes of the main dishes were pretty good, but I'd recommend a third dish though if you're sharing among 2 hungry people to fill. Speaking of RUDE and bad attitude. Here is the place to have it. The manager lady or the boss lady literally was giving us a horrible horrible attitude because there were people waiting outside, and we were eating and talking (we probably spent 30 mins inside). She kept on asking us "are you guys done". I believe it was the 3rd time, she just took our plate while there are still unfinished food. I said hold on, we haven't finished yet. So she just dropped our plate with an unpleasant attitude and walks away. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This manager lady is so desperate for money that she gave ZERO care to customer service. Absolutely amazing! The food was great and came out pretty quickly. And the staff was very helpful and friendly! I'm a sucker for good Khao Soi and this was very awesome! Super flavorful and deep umami with the crispy pork. The E-San sausage was great too, super flavorful with the nice fermented notes and crispy outside. And the catfish was nicely tender and very flavorful. I didn't think it was all that spicy, but it had great herbaceous notes and good balance of sweet and sour and just overall flavor richness. I called 10x and they did not answer so I just placed an order online which worked fine. I ordered the crab fried rice and pad see ew for pick-up. Upon entering the restaurant, I checked in to see if my food was ready but had to wait another 15 minutes. There are a few tables inside but seems like most people order take-out. For what they serve, they really do it well. Thai street food really has the flavor of the wok. I got the kua kai noodles and they were really fresh and had tons of flavor. It is also next to the park which is nice and parking is abundant. The place is on the smaller side so there is usually a long wait. Bad customer service! I went to this place for lunch and I told the server I was going to dine in and for some reason they put the food to go and when they gave me the food I saw empty tables outside so I went there and sat down. The servers two guys came out and kicked me out they said the tables were for dining in even though all the tables inside were empty. After I left I called the restaurant and asked for the manager and the same server answered the phone and said they don't have anyone in charge. I am always super hesitant to try Thai restaurants in the US because I have super high expectations from growing up in Bangkok. I heard from a lot of people that Siam Station is pretty authentic and close to the real thing. I was definitely not disappointed but also wasn't impressed. I thought the peanut sauce was so good and paired so well with the chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy. I wish they actually grilled it over an open charcoal flame like in Bangkok though. The cucumber relish was also really refreshing. 8/10 Siam Station Fried Rice with Prawn: Pretty authentic, tasted like something you would get in the food courts in Bangkok malls. Pretty decent for US Thai food, but would be very mid if I was back home. 7/10 Pad See Ew: This was pretty good. I enjoyed it. Pricing is a little on the higher side, but then again it is Irvine and you're basically paying a few bucks more for quality Thai food. Will definitely be coming back often! *Complimentary tea during lunch, but if you ordered on an app, make sure to call in to add it to your order. I was able to get Thai Tea last time! Pad Thai w/ Prawns -- the first place to really give you bang for your buck when you order this dish with shrimps. Their Pad Thai was super flavorful, noodles were perfectly cooked and extra chewy, prawns were large and plentiful in the to-go box I ordered. Boat Noodle -- broth is VERY flavorful. very delicious authentic thai food. for vegetarians - they can't make things without the fish and oyster sauce so if you are strict vegetarian then the only available food will probably be the desserts. i think this is because they make things ahead of time and whatever they have alr has the sauces in it, thus being unable to make it without fish and oyster sauce. i was too hungry to be a strict vegetarian so I just let it slide, but I did replace the meat with tofu and veggies. btw the veggies did cost extra since i ordered both tofu and veggie. some places don't charge extra so i figured i would let y'all know. food was so delicious. if they did offer more vegetarian friendly options then this is 5/5 stars without a doubt. -1 star for claiming to be vegan and vegetarian friendly but not actually. i mean they had the salads but when i come to a thai place i want to eat nice and hot yummy thai food not salad. the mango sticky rice was super yummy too. the mango was so nice and sweet and the rice was super soft and not hard at all. the rice is also blue which i believe is because of butterfly pea flowers. the coconut sauce was warm and so delicious. overall very wonderful meal. the lady was very nice too. there isn't much indoor seating but lots of outdoor seating. read more

After moving to the Tustin/Irvine area 4 yrs ago, I've been continually disappointed with sub par Thai food nearby. I was excited to try Siam Station after they opened during the pandemic, and was extremely surprised how authentic their food is! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. I got their Satay Chicken, Crab Fried Rice, Pad Thai, and Pad Kee Mow. Everything was awesome! Their Satay Chicken is amazing not only because of the taste and texture of the meat, but their portions! Very generous portions of meat on the skewers!. Their crab fried rice is amazing too! They use real crab meat and it comes with a generous portion of crab! Definitely will be picking up Thai food from here frequently. read more

Went back to Siam station today. I hesitated a bit after my quite terrible Drunken noodle experience. But just decided to give another go since it's been our favorite Thai food restaurant for a while now. My husband ordered yellow curry again, and this time I ordered Pad Thai instead of Drunken Noodles, and ... it was delicious! The service was nice and friendly. Came for a quick lunch with a friend. We shared the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and the chicken pad woon sen. The pineapple fried rice was really good with a good amount of curry, making it very flavorful. The chicken pad woon sen with the glass noodles was different than I had before, but very light and tasty. It had more of a sesame oil flavor. Whereas before I've had, it had more of a darker, soy based sauce. Different but still good! read more
