I have been an occasional customer of Siam Thai for over ten years. The mere fact that this restaurant has been in business that long is proof that it is continuing to attract customers. I have dined here for both lunch and dinner in addition to visiting to collect take out. Today I came here for lunch with several friends. We are all vegetarians and appreciate that the menu here is very vegetarian friendly. We ordered the yellow curry, pad see-iew and holy basil fried rice. Everyone enjoyed the food. Our meals were all accompanied by a mound of spring mix lettuce. While I applaud the addition of salad to the lunch plates, I find it odd that they don't include dressing. Who eats plain lettuce? Bugs Bunny? The portion sizes were all generous. The atmosphere of the dining area is lovely. The decor gives the place an authentic Thai feeling. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside as well as outdoor seating when weather permits. I've never experienced any problems with the service here. The servers have always been pleasant and quick to bring our orders. The dinner menu clearly states that "rice does not come with dinner!" This seems very petty and is the reason why I stopped coming here for dinner. Maybe it's that exclamation point that gets to me. Rice IS included with lunch items. While Siam Thai is not one of my favorite local Thai restaurants, it does serve good food in a very nice atmosphere. So it is definitely worth visiting......at lunchtime. read more

Customer service was horrible. I ordered online and mistakenly clicked on delivery. When I picked up my items they would not stamp my reward card because my order was "delivery". Why would the mode of pick up matter in terms of a reward?!!! take a cue from Starbucks Rewards customer service!!! The pad Thai was bland and the green curry was too spicy even though I chose 1* spice level. Prices have gone up 25% since last year... Too many reasons not to come back!!! read more

This place was a good surprise after visiting 9 dang for quite long. I was here for lunch. Green curry for bursting with flavors. Not too pungent or nothing strong there. Vegetables stir fried was great too. Cabbage, broccoli and rest of the veggies were going amazingly well with the brown sauce. They do serve entres with side of greens. The dressing was honey based which didn't go at all with greens. Would request them to give dressing on side. The wait time for food was usual and it was good to be back after a break. I found their food taste has improved and it is much more flavorful. I had previously been for lunch - and it is a great deal, and I enjoyed what I had. This restaurant is on the larger side, with lots of seating and a large menu (90% can be made vegetarian). This review is for our recent dinner: GOOD: Seated quickly, menu options are extensive for varieties of dietary restrictions, lots of seating. Really big menu for sure. OK: Service was just OK. Our server just wasn't available for us. Our food came out quickly (from someone else), but our server never checked on us - strange, perhaps she thought she had because she checked on the people next to us like 3 times. The person bringing our food was very nice, however. My husband ordered the Golden Cashew with chicken which he said was OK. Not so much: I ordered the hot and spicy noodles, which come with wide rice noodles. The noodles were in a solid, goopy clump at the bottom of the bowl, and while the vegetables and sauce were great, I couldn't get past the glue of the rice noodles. No amount of trying to separate them worked. We also ordered salad rolls which were ok, but the sauce wasn't mixed and came in two layers and they were tiny (but there were 4). We also ordered the crab puffs - which I assumed were in wonton wrappers (because it said so), but they were really doughy (more like pie crust) and absolutely zero crab (or Krab) and stuffed only with cream cheese (unless the crab was completely pulverized into the cream cheese but there wasn't a hint of crab taste). read more

Ordered takeout from here several times because it's convenient, however, I've noticed the last few times the dishes are starting to lack flavor. My usuals include Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mow, Yellow Curry, Thai Fried rice and Holy Basil fried rice. Pad Thai and pad kee mow lack flavor. I always need to add my own salt. Yellow curry is good. This place has been my go to food spot for authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. I've dined here before the pandemic and now frequently order for take out. Our favorites are the Tom Kha which is a yummy coconut chicken soup, Pad Thai noodles, any of the curries, and for dessert, a must have is the Mango with coconut sticky rice. It's a cute, appropriately decorated, Thai restaurant. Me and my fiancee went for lunch and it was quite busy which is always a good sign. Despite this we were seated quite quickly. The menu is pretty consistent with most Thai restaurants with the typical curries and fried rice. We started with spring rolls which were decent and not too greasy but definitely not the best that we've had. I tried the holy basil fried rice, which was well seasoned but looking back I think I would've gone with a curry. My Fiancee had the Pad Thai which she thoroughly enjoyed. Bethany's footprint is a dense array of housing with little options for restaurants for the multitude of people living in the area. Bethany Plaza, where QFC lives, has some eateries, but they're mostly mediocre with horrible parking / traffic. Our normal "go to" Thai out in the Bethany / Beaverton / Hillsboro area is "Thai Noodles Etc" in Cedar Hills Crossing. However, I think I've found an equivalent without the need to get on the freeway or drive more than a couple miles. It's interior is well suited for take out orders, and has 3 areas of ample seating for those dining in (there's large TVs for watching sports / TV in 2 of the areas). The decorations are uniquely Thai, with elaborate wood workings. Food: Yum Asparagus (Yum Tua Plu): a great stir fried dish with ground chicken, shrimp and plenty of veggies. Haven't had this dish before, and really like the variety of flavors (sweet, tangy, spicy). Its a refreshing warm salad! Siam Noodles Delight: a medley of veggies and protein (opted for tofu) atop a bed of starchy rice noodles. I would've liked the noodles to be less gummy, perhaps all the ingredients mixed together....and maybe more peanut sauce? The peanut sauce had great flavor, but would benefit from being mixed in with the noodles to spread that flavor out. Overall, great spot. One of my absolute favorite Thai restaurants on the west side. Always flavorful and great portions. One of the few places that does an avocado curry and this alone is worth coming for. Another favorite dish is the sweet and sour with pineapple, I always add eggplant and shrimp. One menu item I feel is always overlooked and an amazing deal is their side order of broth, choose your soup base for just $5, today we chose the coconut base made spicy and it was a huge container. I love their regular soups but sometimes we just want the flavorful broth and this is the only place I know that sells just the broth! read more

Seriously good Thai food. Consistent. Good service.Water refilled without asking by numerous people the whole time. Take out is great. They have a punch card. Ten ten dollar punches, you get $10 off. I like it. ( we have filled a lot of punch cards in past 6 years since moving near here). I don't. Whatever. Crab-cream cheese "puffs" weren't really puffy, little deep fried turnoverish things with a sweet Thai Chili dipping sauce. These were tasty morsels of goodness. So what if it was imitation crab. Seriously. Dancing string bean with chicken ( totally perfectly cooked chicken chunks and al dente perfect string beans, cilantro, a few chunks of red bell pepper). DELICIOUS. Honest. With a little jasmine rice... mmm. ( rice costs extra, ok this does bug me). And Crispy Trout with a sort of Thai coleslaw on top. It had a name, Yum Trout? Yummy Trout? something like that. On specials menus. I really liked it. The trout was perfectly cooked and the slaw had cashews in it and a good amount of fish sauce. I love fish sauce. Sorry... Belated review from dines in late September. We were introduced to this restaurant via take-out. Everything from Mussaman chicken curry, shrimp with fresh mango, Pad Kee Mao, Summer rolls, Crying Tiger and Pineapple fried rice with chicken were outstanding and "solid". We've been to Bangkok and Phuket before and I think Siam Thai really hits it on authenticity. Even though we ate from the boxes a la picnic, we were fortunate to go to the restaurant for "repeat". Shucks, this time, we.could only re- try the Spring Rolls, Pad Kee-Mao and shrimp with mango because it was just the 2 of us. If we could have eaten more, believe me, we would have! My goodness. What a treat! I live in Denver and I have to drive to Wyoming to find decent Thai. I'm visiting a girlfriend in Portland because she just had a baby, on her own. Thus we are ordering in a lot! What a gem! The vegetable samosas have the perfect kick (I don't find a lot with spice and it was delightful)! The thom kha was stacked with chicken (no scrimping on meet here! Or... I guess poultry in this case). I like it spicy so I got it hot and it wast over the top. We got the yellow curry beef and I can't stop thinking about it. I have two more days here and I'm starting to think I might need another fix... exceptional food. read more

Most of the meat dishes were over cooked. They gave me the wrong dish but instead of offering to refund me, suggested that I wait another 30 minutes for an order that was already 20 minutes late. So Siam Thai has been one of our go to places for the last 16 years or so, I was feeling under the weather and really wanted some good Thai soup. My wife ordered the Tom ka with chicken for me, I was pretty disappointed overall. The flavor was just not there, the chicken tasted like it was steamed or boiled, the Tom Ka itself actually separated, and you had to mix it. The chicken was kind of tough. The rest of the food was pretty decent, but not very inspiring for the next time I'm desiring Tom Ka soup. read more

Beautifully decorated interior that truly makes you feel like you're in Thailand. Acceptable service, and the food was more impressive that most Thai restaurants I've had. Impeccable flavors-my family enjoyed the holy basil fried rice the most-it was super moist and flavorful without being mushy. Reasonable prices and an extensive menu of so much to choose from. I didn't get a photo of the stir fried vegetables but it was also very delicious and came with plenty of tofu. Good portion sizes-great for family style eating. I am from California and was visiting family at the time I came to this restaurant. I do have to say, that this restaurant is one of the best Thai spots that I have been to, and I have visited many Thai spots. The interior of the restaurant was clean. The colors were somewhat of a brownish / red type ambiance. The food was excellent and the staff was very nice. The portions of the food were excellent, and the same applies with the price. Of particular note are the chicken satay, miang kham, coconut sticky rice with mango, rice pudding, pad khee mao, swimming rama, and above all else, the almost-indescribably-tender-and-flavorful 24-hour-marinated beef Panang curry. Admittedly, it's not the cheapest place in town, but the food is consistently fantastic, the spice levels are on point, the servers are super kind, the atmosphere is relaxed and soothing, and did I mention the panang curry? Fact: We drive by about 6 Thai places to come to Siam Thai since we've found it's the most consistent, best tasting Thai joint in the vicinity. So there's that. From start to finish, we've always had great experiences here for both lunch and dinner. The menu is pretty typical for Thai food, though I'll admit we're not super adventurous about what we eat so I might be missing out on something special. We typical start with an appetizer - the Chicken Satay is HUGE and the peanut sauce is delicious. If they have it, the shrimp appetizer is pretty damn tasty too. Their pad thai is quite good, a bit on the sweeter side so I usually add a little spice to it instead of my usual mild. The Pad See Eww was perfectly flavored and fresh. And the Tom Kah is probably the best version of this dish I have tried at any Thai place ever. The service is quick and polite, and the decor of the restaurant creates a pretty nice ambiance without going too over the top. Definitely recommend this place if you're craving some Thai! read more

Best Pad Thai hands down. I find it hard to stray to other dishes but we have had the satay, yellow curry, basil chicken and others all were really good. I will admit I have only eatin in the restaurant once but we have gotten To go for years here and love it. There are a few newer Thai places in the area but I always go back here for Pad Thai.
