I've been going here for 20 years and today I got treated horribly. I drove 20 min to go pick up my food got the wrong money back. Drove all the way back to go eat my food but got the wrong order. I then called and got treated like it was my fault meaning I got yelled at. If it was handled correctly then I would have no problem. However I went to the store and didn't get treated with any respect. Once I got the right food I didn't get the meal with a discount and it was cold. Refused to serve my 7 month pregnant wife and I . Walked in at 2:24. The open sign was clearly lit and the doors unlocked. A staff member peeked around from a back room and immediately turned around and walked back where she came from. We then heard staff laughing and proceeded to wait for no less then 5 minutes. A female staff member finally came out to say they were closed and wouldn't be seating us. We walked in at 2:24 and it was 2:30 by the time someone someone actually greeted us. The hours on the door and the website state the hours are 11-3 for lunch. They were clearly lying and just didn't want to serve us. There were people sitting and eating and were obviously bothered by the fact that we were being turned away. We were completely dumbfounded and couldn't believe what we were being told. My wife was experiencing low blood sugar and obviously very pregnant and on the brink of tears. This was our first time here and will be our last. Terrible way to treat patrons. read more

I ordered 4 entrees and egg rolls as a side with Thai Iced Tea for a Drink. I ordered Drunken Noodles with Beef, Siam Chicken, Phad Ped Tala (Seafood Dish), and Phad Tai. Having eaten Thai food all over including food from Thai friends. I would skip it. The Phad Ped Tala Sea Food dish smelled and tasted like my kids bathroom before I clean it. The Siam Chicken had no flavor. Drunken Noodles with Beef had OK flavor. The noodles were congealed and stuck together.The Pad Thai was weird with vegetables that weren't quiet cooked, the duck was overdone, and the sauce was over-thick. I spent almost $90 thinking we would have a great meal as we are traveling. We ended up getting a garbage bag from the front desk and tossing this expensive mistake as our room was beginning to smell. If I were you I would skip it and try somewhere else. read more

Food left me depressed. I'm not expecting to find my Thai Boat noodle soup here, I understand that. But at least something good, something edible and tasty? I just don't understand. Pad see ew was drenched in salt. I was unable to eat more than a few mouthfuls it was just too salty. Usually in pad see ew there is a bit of gravy-like sauce but this stuff was all dry. I appreciate that they used the correct noodles (unlike a nameless restaurant that uses spaghetti noodles for it's pad thai) but the dish just wasn't edible being so dry and with all the salt. I wasn't just disappointed because I was hungry, but because I really wanted to eat something good and thought it would be authentic and tasty. For two dishes and an iced tea it was about $23 pre-tip. My bf said his pad thai was ok so maybe that's their specialty? Unsure. It is still probably the best thai food in Billings but I am giving it 3 stars based on what I have come to expect over the last 15 years of going here. I love these people! Not only is the food superb (some of the best Thai I've had, including in NY and London), but the owners are warm, lovely, and super personable. We had a rehearsal dinner there last week. Everyone was RAVING about the quality of the food, the service, and the great atmosphere. They put out a huge spread of food and kept it fresh all night. They took great care of our party of about 50 people and kept our drinks refreshed all night and took great care of us. They even gave all of the guests to-go containers so we could take the leftovers home. The owners even gave the bride and groom a wedding gift. So, so sweet! Went there for dinner largely because the only Thai restaurant that served liquor (beer). Place was crowded and so expected some good Thai food. I had the spicy dragon prawn recommended by the waitress. What a disappointment. Maybe they forgot to even add any spices but it was so bland it was more or less tasteless. We have eaten Thai in many places, and this is as good as it gets in my opinion. The pad thai was delicate and tasty - not thick and overly sweet like in other places. The panang and green curries were each outstanding: very flavorful. I just can't figure out the uncomplimentary comments posted here, because our experience was uniformly positive. The only item that could use a little more flavor was the spring rolls. Staff was very helpful when we asked that everything be done gluten-free. We really only have two choices for Thai in Billings and by default this is the best one. The food is pretty good all in all if a little on the sweet side. We were traveling through on I90 and made a detour specifically for thai food. We would highly recommend Siam. All the veggies and ingredients seemed top quality and fresh. The red curry is outstanding, the spicy seafood was loaded with seafood. I'm a pad thai addict and my only complaint is that there was virtually no sauce on the noodles and it was rather sweet. For three full dishes, a thai iced coffee, and a green tea we only paid $37.20 plus tip. Overall, great experience. read more

We ordered Phad Thai in which I could barely see any veggies in there other than a few slivers of carrots, and bean sprouts, with just about 3 leaves of cilantro and the noodles were chewy like they were not cooked all the way. Also had Satay in which the chicken was major dry although it had good flavor. Well on our 5th attempt at eating at Siam we finally made on a day and time that they were open. The place was packed on a Friday night but we got a table right away. We had chicken wings, soup and curry. They were all delicious, however they were totally mild. I like my food a medium spicy and the menu indicated that it would be medium so I was a little disappointed in that aspect. The service was fine considering how busy they were. read more

I've been to Siam Thai on 3 or 4 occasions over the last year while in Billings on business. I travel frequently throughout North America and make it a point to try at least one Thai restaurant in every city, resulting in a sampling of over 100+ Thai restaurants in the last few years. My dish of choice is pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and frankly, this is the only thing I've ever ordered at Siam Thai. It is probably in my top 3 of pad kee mao dishes of all time, and one of the few restaurants that actually brought me a proper "thai hot" (that's what pushes this to 5 stars) dish even though the waitress tried to talk me out of it. I'm unsure what NG is referring to when they talk about "heavily black peppered", there is no black pepper in this dish. Usually when I'm on the road, and if I'm not entertaining clients, ambiance is a non-issue...which is good, because Thai Siam has none. read more

In Billings Montana I did not expect much of the Thai food. Unfortunately I was right. I ordered a phad kee mao, and not only were the noodles too chewy (undercooked) but they were also burned (not in the good wok way but in the bad too long in the wok way). They also stick together too much and it's hard to eat. The chicken was good, but unfortunately there was not enough of it. In fact the only thing that I could see at the beginning was just noodles. Siam Thai is my one of the very favorite restaurant! I use to go there once or twice a week with friends until two months ago.. i'd be still going like that if I am not on a diet. Thai noodle soup with shrimp is absolutely awesome! couple spoonful of fish sauce and siracha sauce would make it more than perfect. it's warm light broth with thin noodles and some bean sprouts brings many delightful flavors. Drunken noodl! what can I say.. I know I am full, but I can't put my chopsticks down because it's that good. It does have black peppers.. but not as heavy as NG described.. but just right.. and I don't know if I am just getting use to it or not.. but it's not quiet spicy enough for my mouth.. but just enough for my tummy to handle it. I usually order it with beef. Beef is very tender to eat and has a good flavor. Jumbo Garlic Shrimp.. something to die for! it's a bit hard to eat because they leave the shell on it.. but actually... Japanese eat deep fried shrimp heads.. so why not eat the shell? haha yeah i know.. well I don't like touching my food with my own fingers... so i just eat the shell too.. but it's good with shells on it.. and the size of them are enormous.. size of my fist! it's like eating a lobster.. tender and crispy.. and deep fried garlic with the salty sauce and vegetables make it perfect! there are many other foods i'd like to recommend.. but there are too many.. the lady that owns a place is very nice.. and will treat you like you are her own family. her son cooks in the back.. however sometimes.. i'd go there and her son is not cooking.. food can taste a bit off.. but not too badly.. still good! definitely try it! my good friends and I love the place! read more

I have tried many of their dishes and the only one I did not especially like was a seafood one and only because I did not like the particular spice they used.
