We had an unfortunate encounter with the bouncer this past Saturday night. My husband was looking for his ID in his wallet and his police badge was showing. The bouncer then exclaimed that the entrance was $5 and that the badge "does not mean shit here". We never asked for free admission and never would have. Unfortunately, our group of 10 people left after that rude comment. I am not sure as to why this establishment has negative feelings towards law enforcement but definitely will not be coming back. Hire new bouncers with some respect towards patrons. read more

This is a cool place, always packed and lots of fun. The beer selection is awesome. I usually don't even like beer, but i couldn't resist getting a delicious chocolatey dark one, and they had it in an 8 oz glass. The loaded fries were decent. The french onion soup (called something like Irish onion) was very good. I had an app (smoked salmon) as my entree, and that was good as well. There was live music, which we really enjoyed. Non locals cruising for a good place to eat in a town we're not familiar with. Stopped here because it looked to be the busiest. Menu was simple, but good. The pierogi appetizer was very good. Fish and chips was an impressive serving, and the barbecue Mac n cheese flavorful and delicious. Atmosphere made for an interesting and entertaining dinner service. We stopped on a Monday, which offered the option of music bingo, or like us you could grab a table towards the back and enjoy dinner with game shows playing across the bar. Went to see the in-laws a few weeks ago and have never been to downtown Stroudsburg, so they wanted to take us to the local Irish pub. Fitting since me and my wife met at our local Irish pub over Guinness and Irish food, sadly this place was bad.... I saw they had some typical "irish" food on their menu, they had a full Irish breakfast (kind of) and banger and mash. So the waiter comes around to take our order, doesn't write 1 thing down, mind you there are 4 of us and we all ordered drinks, entrees and got 2 apps for the table, once again DOESNT WRITE ANYTHING DOWN. it comes to my turn, I'll take the bangers and mash, 5 min later the waiter comes back with out drinks, what did you guys want for apps? We tell him and he places the order again.... Uh oh here he comes again "no bangers", OK I'll take the Irish breakfast and if there are no bangers ill take extra Irish bacon. 5 more min later the apps come out, and again "we don't have the Irish breakfast", at this point I say just give me whatever my father in law is having. It was an underwhelming burger with the tiniest slice of bacon. I ask for HP sauce, he brings ketchup, at this point I just wanted to pay and leave. Stopped in a very rainy Friday night with friends around 9pm. The building is neat (an old bank) and the fact that we're still serving food was great. We had pretzels, wings, onion soup, chicken pot pie, and Irish nachos. Wings were good, as was the chicken pot pie and soup. The Irish nachos would have been better without cheese but with a dressing like on a Reuben because the toppings were like a Reuben sandwich. The pretzels were fine but the cheese sauce? Again, just ok. Biggest issue here was that it was so loud with both just one singer early and then the DJ. May not be back because the 4 of us couldn't even talk to each other over dinner. We ate there tonight. Seated right away, server was lovely. She took our order and the water and ginger ale came right away, but our meals took 30mins to come. It was the worst meal I've had in years. Flank steak was gristle, mashed potatoes were tasteless, broccoli was wet. The second meal, beef stew, didn't look like stew, but more like gruel. The bread that came with it was good, but we found one potato and not much else. Once the food came, we ate and paid the check in 10mins. It was quite pricey and not what was on the menu. read more

The food here has gone downhill this year. Their bangers and mash is way too salty and somehow flavorless at the same time. They seem to pour a pound of butter on their pierogies. Don't bother getting any burgers or sandwiches because your bun WILL be burnt and your burger will be over cooked. The only safe thing there at this point are the desserts, there's nothing bad to say about them. It wouldn't be so bad if the service was good, but it isn't anymore. The waiters seem to ignore you the entire time while leaving dirty dishes all over the place. It's almost as if the people running this place stopped caring all together. We went there a few times this year to try to give them more chances and all I can say is, definitely don't go on a Monday unless you want the absolute worst food you've ever had. read more

We were vacationing in Strousburg this weekend. My family of 5 came here for dinner and drinks. The place was very busy. Our waiter Dave was very nice and did a great job. There was a 25 minute wait to order food but Dave kept us informed the whole time and our drinks full. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend the pretzels and Shepherds Pie! Went for dinner at 5pm on a Saturday. Was not busy at all. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. My husbands beer was flat. Server never came to check on us until about 15-20 minutes later only after a different person who brought us our appetizers, walked away from our table with the stale beer. Then finally the waiter came back and asked what was wrong and got my husband a new beer. The waiter literally never came back to our table. I had to walk over to him and ask him for our check. And on top of it the food was not good. My husband had a burger which was fine but I had shepherds pie and my daughter had the teriyaki chicken and neither was good. Moral of the story.... This place had trouble keeping my business in the past as a local but I always give things in my area another chance and I'm happy to say the new menus and weekly events have sucked me in! Food has come out quicker and much more consistent in quality, can definitely tell there are fresh replacements. Beer selection is very nice too which is a winner for me. Monday wing night, or their Tuesdays for pasta specials and open mic are a good time to try it out, even with a crowd there is a lot of space to hang out or eat without feeling cramped! HOME-RUN, chicken cheesesteak, reg cheesesteak and fresh cheeses bacon fries were incredible. Siamsa is now on the map for 1 to 2 times a week lunch order. Lots of reviews for this place made me hesitant to come and eat here, but it turns out that this Irish pub serves pretty good food. We ordered simple dishes- Cuban sandwich, fish n chips, Caesar salad, and chicken tender sandwich and I can't say there were any complaints about any of them. This is my 2nd time enjoying dinner at this establishment. The service is always great and the food is great. This time around I had the Shepard's pie which is beyond good. I made sure to order a side of gravy with it because I was told that there gravy was good. It was fantastic the Shepard's pie was really enough for two people. I took it home and enjoy the rest for lunch. For appetizer I had the smoked Irish salmon with capers and red onion with a mild horse radish sauce. It was prepared to perfection. My son enjoyed the chicken curry it was plentiful and just the right amount of spice. My husband had the bourbon ribs which fell off the bone they were cooked to perfection. Ate lunch there yesterday. Good food, wait staff was good, however they are very lax on the covid restrictions. A major group of people came in right after they opened. 80% of the did not wear a mask as was walking around the bar like it was ok and not one person that worked there said anything to them. They were congregating at the bar, not at a table. Then once they got their drinks, still no masks on they walked through the bar holding their masks and their drinks and talking away. We had to get up an move to another table. They would walk through the bar to go outside to smoke, never attempting to put a mask on. I think management, waiters and staff should grow a pair and respect other patrons and abide by the rules to keep other people safe. Because what I saw yesterday they didn't care. read more

Went there for a wedding after party, bouncers Devin and Damien were the most hospitable bouncers I've ever seen, they welcomed us happily and then getting into the bar all of the bartenders were amazing and super effecient at there job considering a packed bar.
