If you're deep in the bleeding edge of cocktails, the Josias and rye hanky panky are the best things on the menu as far as I'm concerned. Layered, complex, and flavor for days. The bowed and tied is really fun too, but you can't go wrong on the menu I had, it's all great! And the bartenders are absolute sweethearts that really take care of everyone and know their stuff. Shoutouts to Amanda and Sophia who are lovely. The place also encourages delivery from the pizza place next door which looks great and any good delivery apps because they don't serve food. Highly recommend if you want to try a few drinks and not get drunk off your badonkadonk! Problem was the bartender fill the glass with ice cubes to the brim. I was served a glass of ice with a couple ounces of drink. If you're looking for a locally owed Tucson spot for a decadent cocktail and hip atmosphere, look no further. Sidecar is the spot to experience boutique beverages and the service is fantastic. The last time I ventured in was four years ago and I'm sad it took this long for me to go back (I mean, there was a pandemic, lol) Last experience was also sensational. This time around was just as good as I remembered. I'm thrilled they are still in business post Covid, and the mixologists are highly skilled. We brought a friend in from out of town with a small group of local friends and we each ordered our favorite cocktails. Since I enjoy rum I asked the bartender to surprise me and the result was absolutely delicious. It was a smooth slightly citrus tasting cocktail that was perfect. Gin drinks, beer and whiskey was also ordered and everyone agreed all was excellent. We plan to head back over the holidays again with friends to try other house specialities. I wish this place was closer to downtown because we really enjoyed our time here. Like the name might suggest, this place makes some amazing Sidecar's. Probably the best I've ever had. Strong, sweet, and beautifully garnished with sugar on the edges and lemon peel. I had at least two of those before the night was over - simply sublime! The atmosphere inside for a Saturday night was great. Not so crazy or loud that you find it difficult to hold a conversation, but happening enough that we were able to have some fun people watching. The bartenders were really friendly, and there was a place to easily fill up waters for yourself if you needed some re-hydration. Love this place for happy hour! I've gone several times, right after work and its perfect to meet a friend or two. Their cocktails are really good. I've order the Thyme & Tonic cocktail a few times and its so refreshing! But the thyme is a perfect herb to give it a little punch. They also have beer and wine, and I love wine so that's always a nice alternative. For me, I really appreciate it when the wine glasses are larger (for red wine) and very clean.
