There is no place in Indy like Sidedoor. They are Indy's premier craft bagel maker. Owner & bagel master, Josh, got his start at local bakery favorite, Amelia's, when he found his passion & talent for bagels. His success selling & delivering his bagels led him to become an Indy foodie favorite. This location is his first official solely Sidedoor spot, but we hope he'll expand soon! Is everything bagel is covered with so many seeds you can't even tell there's a bagel in the middle which is just the way I like it. He offer several delicious homemade cream cheeses including scallion which is my favorite. There's also apple cinnamon butter which is perfect for a plain sourdough or a sea salt bagel. They partner with Market Wagon where you can order your bagels to be delivered to your door if you live within a certain radius. Cozy neighborhood bagel shop. Went on a Saturday morning and there was a nice line to order and get your food. Line took less than 10 mins and food brought to us in about 5. Totally worth it. We got the BECCY and the cheddar garlic bagel with maple bacon cream cheese. While both were great the cheddar garlic bagel, surprisingly, was my fav. I love that they are doing a great business and people recognize and reward them for it. We will definitely be back! read more

I first had a bagel from here about 2 years ago before they were a brick and mortar place. And honestly, I wasn't that impressed. The bagels were pretty good. But I visited their physical location and got a breakfast sandwich and hot damn, everyone I had told they were "just okay." I updated that it's worth it. I've yet to find a good bagel place here in Indy, until this weekend. The bagel tasted better. I have no idea if it was me or they did something different but it has a little more chewy ness to it, which I love. i got the BECCY and the bacon was thick and delish! $11 for a breakfast sandwich however, it was very good. read more

I got the flaky sea salt rosemary bagel & it was so good! They were very quick and everyone was so friendly.

Been following and eating these bagels since they were brought in by Amelia's. This place is the real deal! Perfectly baked every day and absolutely nuts spreads! If I could eat these bagels every day I would. Perfectly sponge interior with a light crispy outside. This is the closest I've had to a New York deli bagel. Was pretty excited to try this place after following it from before the brick and mortar store. I hadn't had the chance to get over there since I had moved from downtown. I Was disappointed with my experience. The woman at the counter not terribly friendly and I did not get the cream cheese I paid for. The bagels themselves were pretty good. I however found that the seasoning fell off pretty much with any handling. Since the half dozen I bought weren't sliced, by the time I sliced them they were essentially plain all bagels. Additionally they were pretty expensive $21.00 for 6 bagels, that should've had cream cheese. I couldn't honestly recommend this place. Due to all those combined factors. Bagel Shops. What is more important than a bagel shop? Not much. Which is why it is AWFUL that Indy has like... two. Enter Sidedoor. Longtime caller big time fan of the pandemic deliveries and was so excited to see that they were opening a storefront. The place is beautiful and even more importantly... the bagels and smears are outta this world. Their crew is great and it seems like they're always mixing things up a bit. This place was packed but they get you in and out! We've been wanting to try this place since we got into town and we finally made it. They are only open from Wednesday to Saturday, 8am-2pm. It's a small store front but they pack what they can in so if you haven't been it's a bit of information overload, as it was for me. I looked at their menu online before ordering so that made it easier. Upon entering they have all their offerings laid out in front of you so you can see them, I really liked that and made it easy to pick out what bagels you want. They have a list of schmears on the side wall to choose from. Their "sandwiches" are listed in front of you when facing the cash register. We tried the Bacon, egg and cheddar bialy, lox and loaded (open face "sandwich") with an everything bagel and spicy everything bagel, and a cinnamon/sesame bagel with peanut butter. The bialy was alright, bagel softish and the middle was like an omelette with bacon, egg and cheese. I would not get this again. Cinnamon sesame and peanut butter was a terrific combo, not to much cinnamon and a slight hint of toasty from the sesame! And lastly the lox and loaded bagels are pricey but filling. You can choose the bagels and schmear you want (extra if you get anything other than plain) but worth it. The Lox and Loaded comes with your bagel and schmear of choice, salmon, cucumbers, pickled onions, capers and dill. It's messy but good and filling. Overall we enjoyed our food and hope to try out their different "sandwiches" soon! read more

They make the bagel of my dreams. Every last millimeter of the boiled and baked goodness was covered in everything topping. I literally dumped the bag and started my own jar of everything seasoning. All the delicious shmears. A CHILI CRISP SHMEAR, swoon. I ordered their veggie bagel on an everything bagel with lox and dill shmear, with micro greens, cucumber and pickled onions. Indy finally has a great bagel shop! I went on a Wednesday morning around 8:45. There was plenty of parking and no line although a few customers came in right after we ordered. I got a spicy everything with jalapeno cream cheese and my husband got a cinnamon sesame with plain cream cheese. We loved both and are looking forward to trying all of the other flavors. We appreciated that Sidedoor recently implemented some covid measures, such as wearing masks and limiting the number of people in the shop. Service was quick and super friendly and it was overall a great experience. My only suggestion is to change the drip coffee to a stronger and less acidic blend. read more

The good thing about these is that there is no B side. Both sides are equally seeded, without the flat cornmeal side. I'd call them rolls, though. These do not have the consistency of a bagel. They are fair and would earn a 3-star rating and maybe a return visit. But how can a place selling bagel-like bread not be open on Sunday? That makes no sense to me. And it's unconscionable for staff to no mask during a pandemic. So much for community. read more
