Basically a perfect sports bar, if you're looking for a sports bar. Nice folks, locals, not touristy...

Came here for brunch with a girlfriend. Started off with a manmosa that was okay. That's the one star. The rest was absolutely ridiculous. We waited 25 mins just to get menus and another 30 minutes to order. The waitress was acting like we were invisible! We kept staring at her, trying to flag her down to get a refill in drinks and water, nothing. Finally we ordered. Both got eggs Benedict. The chef brought it out and asked where our server was, I said I'm not sure, it's taken over an hour and a half to get our food. (Mind you, the place was only about half full and our waitress had 3 other tables who came after us and had food brought out way before us as well.) The eggs and potatoes were cold. Not even luke warm. Oh but you better believe that we ate half of it and were still nibbling and she brought the check after 8 minutes. I was so disappointed as I've come here for years and always been great food and service, but this time it was so so bad. Definitely would rather pay a little extra to go somewhere where our time and money is well spent, with nicer people. read more

My friends took me here, telling me that this was THE breakfast place to go to. Apparently, they used to have $5 breakfast dishes, but now it's $7 for certain breakfast plates. It's a local sports bar, and at the time we entered they were playing the Confederations Cup match Italy v. Brazil, so it's nice to know they aren't biased with one sport over another. We sat at the bar. Our bartender introduced himself as Eric and was very friendly and really engaged us in conversation. My friends had Bloody Marys, but I opted for water. I ended up ordering a Denver omelette with hash browns and wheat toast. My friend ordered the California eggs benedict, which was actually my second choice. The omelette was pretty good, and the hash browns were delicious. Eric provided us with everything we needed and was very good about refilling my water. It only took around 10 minutes for our food to get to us. We ended up having to move to a table because the newest member of our party was under 21 years old, but that was understandable. They have a triple heart attack burger that you can order that has 6 beef patties, a bunch of slices or cheese, and the end buns being grilled cheese sandwiches, all for $26 and free if you can finish it in under an hour. It sounded like it'd give you a heart attack! I guess only 2 people have ever completed the challenge. The atmosphere was very sports bar-like, so it looked like a good place to go to watch any sports game. I would say I would definitely come back here for breakfast again, especially since it was a good value for what you paid for and their service was superb. Asked the innkeeper at our B&B in Bend where we should go to watch the NBA finals and she recommended Sidelines. Great suggestion! There are a LOT of TV's situated all over the establishment and we got an excellent viewing spot BOTH times we were there. The fish tacos were excellent and I highly recommend them. So good, I got them both times we visited. They had a great Summer Pale Ale on draft, too. The staff could have been a little more friendly, but they were swamped and we were tourists, not locals. Anyway, we had a great time and would definitely return. read more

Sidelines is like a trashy stripper who got lucky and married an old horny dude with some cash. She looks decent enough at first glance thanks to the new D&G get-up, makeover and boob job he paid for but be careful of the funk in the trunk (seriously, stay in the front of the joint, wandering to the back exposes things you DON'T want to see), she likes her cocktails STRONG (great pours here), smokes (I guess Oregon's smoking ban hasn't gone into effect yet), and spends most of her day sitting around watching TV (plenty of big screens to catch a game). And best of all, she's cheap! Not a bad place but you still get the feeling you're a short stumble from the trailer. read more

Old time bar in Downtown Bend . Staff was friendly and efficient. We had the bar plate with wings , deep fried items that were better than we expect expected. We were looking for a place to watch some early March madness and golf and were pleasantly surprised. Maybe 10 easy to see flat screens with all the games on . Great local sports bar. It's the official watch site in Bend for Ducks football! Love the comfy couches upstairs right in front of the TV's. Just like sitting on the couch at home and watching except you can order a beer and a hamburger! Great burgers and I appreciate that our waitress brought us water with our beers. Great Happy Hour drink specials and food. My son really loved the beer selection, I enjoyed a mixed drink. We had the Sliders, fried mushrooms and wings off the Happy hour menu, they where plentiful and great tasting. TV's are perfect for watching the out of town game (we where there to watch MLB Extra Innings- Houston Astros game). My son had the Astor's logo on his shirt and we didn't even need to ask them to change the channel; our waitress just found the game! Lot's of locals enjoying themselves here, good, good feeling. read more

Service is pretty much terrible every time I come in. The only reason I keep coming is because it's the only place that has Root Sports. You would think the owner/manager would schedule servers according to game schedules since it is a sports bar... I've been coming here for 3 years and every single time they are understaffed. Wonderful! Atmosphere is a sports bar with multiple tv's and music. Very fun. Greeted immediately and waited on just as fast. The place is pa Jed so come early. Good was quick and yummy. Pizza for breakfast was a delight for my son. We enjoyed French toast but there were many dishes to choose from including lunch and dinner all day long. Gaylen was friendly and delightful. I'd give them no stars if I could....came in sat down at the only empty table that still had dishes and a wet rag on it. After 5 mins waitress came and cleared table and wiped it down and said she would be back with menus. After watching her walk back and forth doing other things I finally got up and got my own menus. Not to bore you with details, finally got her to take our order after 20 minutes....food took another 45 mins to come...2 burgers and 2 cold sandwiches...one cold sandwich was delivered 5 minutes after everyone else's. French fries were cold, sandwiches dry, burgers soggy. Waitress never updated us or checked on us, apologized or anything which leads me to believe this is the norm. An hour and a half later we finally walked out after I tracked down the waitress to pay the bill....note to Meghan our server, you may want to make eye contact, check on your customers orders, check on your customers, and no it is not perfect that I didn't have my sandwich when you breezed by....I have no no gratitude to you for your service so you my dear got no gratuity. Are my husband and I invisible and we just don't know it? Stopped in there the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, thirsty, and looking to catch up on game scores. There were probably less than 20 people there, and 2 other guys actually sitting at the bar, and there were 2 bartenders behind the bar. After about 5 minutes of not being greeted, I helped myself to some ice water from some pitchers on a nearby table. 5 minutes more...nothing. Barmaid taking several orders off the computer, but never said a word to us. Male bartender actually talked to another patron right over my head! After finishing 2 large glasses of water (probably about 15 minutes), without ever being spoken to, we left. I have never had this experience in my 25 years of being able to legally drink. Definitely won't go back there! read more

We happen to find this place while in bend this past weekend to visit some friends, we had our dog with us so it's just a bit to hard to find a place that we can enjoy a cold beer and good food, so they have outdoor seating and there was no problem with our small dog, boy to our surprise the food was fab and service was right on, sliders were great and the garlic frys I need more so we will return for sure, oh ya the beer is cold!!!! read more

We are local and come here often. We love the staff and some truthfully, some days service can be slow when they're really busy but they always disclose delays- which is really appreciated. We get well made drinks and our favorite item is the hot wings! We've taken all of our visiting family here for wings and everyone loves them. I will also add that I had the best eggs benedict I've ever had here. The waitress told me about her customization of the EB and asked if I wanted her to order for me. I gave it a shot and this is my choice every time moving forward! Word or warning- anytime there's a game or football Sunday, Monday night, or Thursday night...get there early. read more

Icome almost daily to this bar to have my iced coffee only.on June 20, around 11am the guy at the bar was not so friendly to me when I asked for my coffee 3 times.i made a joke like "are you drunk,man?" which he told me that I had pissed him off.then he wanted to check my ID angrily.i paid but did not drink my coffee and left.what a serving attitude.althought,I always used too many "please"words in my conversation.i looked for another bar now.never come back to this bar. read more

Never disappoints like many other downtown Bend bars. Service and food and drinks are always good and consistent.

We recently spent the afternoon watching a Ducks game and playing shuffleboard at Sidelines. Talk about FUN! Service was truly awesome, as was the generous and delicious food!! This place is comfortable and friendly. My only suggestion would be a little reader board at the entrance, warning their patrons about the 2 hour parking in front. It's easy to get distracted while lingering over things and, especially if you're not a local, you may get ticketed. Thanks for being awesome, folks! read more

I got there and sat down at one of the tables and nothing happened. For about 10 minutes, actually, and it wasn't busy. When the waitress finally came up to me, she asked "Did you need anything?". Um...... Wasn't there just to watch TV. After that things went much better, and she provided good service. There are a bunch of TV's here, so great for sports. This my favorite sports bar in Bend. The food can be great if not exceptional for a sports bar dive. My only complaint would be the nachos, which happen to be the first thing I ate there. I didn't eat there again for 6 months. Then I had the super club and from then on I was hooked. The super club could feed 3 people and is everything a club should be. The philysteak sand which is also the best in town. Service is great but they do seem to be understaffed at least once a week. This causes long waits for service and will also make the waitress picking up the slack less friendly. I also wish they had 10 Barrel beer on tap. The combination of really good food, incredible prices and sports makes this place a must for the big game. They also just got a sweet shuffleboard table that is one of the best ones I have ever seen. read more

I would give it a -10 if possible. Have worked in the bar industry for 15 years and have NEVER witnessed anything this appalling. While showing up an hour early to get a seat for a game at the designated TV, everything was fine. 2nd quarter, suddenly a guy came up and changed the TV. Told him we were watching that game and he LITERALLY said "Go fuck yourself and go back where you came from". What? He then flipped us off and walked downstairs. We went downstairs and asked for a Manager. The same guy then said HE was the Owner/Manager and to "Get the fuck out." He THEN said. . "Anyone want to kick this guy's ass, drinks are on me." Yes, that really happened. You can see another post from a girl that witnessed this the same night. His arrogance and attitude will be his demise.
