This review is purely about the wings- I've been meaning to come back here since my last review about two years ago. I was there this evening with a couple friends and I have to say their wings are so good! The best wings in town! My hubs and I had today the honey garlic and salt & pepper rub. Both were grilled. They were both good and actually a good combination to have together. The honey garlic was a little sweet and had a very small kick to it. The salt and pepper was a little extra than basic wings and was a bit more dry and crispy. I suddenly feel hungry again thinking about it! Great food and great happy hour prices ! We were a family of 5 looking for some pub grub and boy did we find it . We ordered the sampler platter - really wasn't worth it for the price $10.99 . We ordered a dozen boneless wings $7.99 and chicken strip baskets $7.99 both we're phenomenal! If I had to choose between Buffalo Wild Wings or sidelines for wings I would take sidelines any day ! The trick is to go during happy hour to grab the $7.99 specials . As far as wing flavors go you can get hot , mild or bbq . For the fries you can have regular, curly or tater tots . My husband always goes to this place for happy hour and keeps raving about the chicken wings they have here. I wanted to give this place a try and stopped by for a quick drink and some wings. Its definitely in the prime location and a good spot. We went around 8:00 on a Saturday, we could sit wherever since it was pretty empty. The place was pretty dirty at first glance. We ordered some drinks, chicken wings and jalapeño poppers. The drinks came in quick but the chicken wings and poppers took a good half an hour and I was losing my patience. What was supposed to be a quick drink, eat and leave turned out to be forever. The chicken was grilled and hot, it was good but not exceptionally great. I did like the jalapeño poppers but the service was rather too slow. There were only two waitress assisting all the tables and it was not a nice scene. Sucks that this is the only place around to get a beer till 12. Take the time to drive or Uber somewhere else. The service is terrible. Every single employee with stare at you as you walk in and not say a word! We sat down and it took about 7 minutes for us to get service. It's okay though because they were so busy!! NOT! Here for a baseball tournament and wanted to grab some lunch before our long drive home. Our waitress basically disappeared after taking our order. We had to flag her down for refills and to ask where our appetizer was. We happened to have a view of the kitchen window where the orders are put when ready. We saw what looked like our meals sitting in the window for 2 minutes, then 5 minutes, then 10 minutes with not a single waitress (or cook) asking why this food hasn't been run. We finally figured it couldn't be our food because we didn't even have our app yet. Finally got our app, potato skins, which were hot but totally tasteless and very very dry. Then I see what I had been dreading, I see our waitress grab the food that had been sitting in the window for probably 15 min at this point and being it to our table. I told her the food was cold and that we saw it sitting there and she said "I know" and took it back!! Two plates were sent back and magically recooked in 2 minutes. Clearly all they did was toss the plate in the oven or microwave. Food was absolutely gross. No flavor to any of it. All 4 of us took maybe a handful of bites and couldn't even finish it. Asked for the check and when the waitress asked if I want boxes and I said no, she should have asked if there was something wrong with our food because it had barely been touched. I was a waitress and that is the standard "clue" when something is wrong with the food. We had a burger which was bland and dry, kid's spaghetti which tasted like canned tomato sauce, sliders which were dry and bland, and cob salad wrap which also had zero flavor and barely any ranch on it. Found this local establishment that has been my area for a number of years. I've eaten at this establishment probably 4 times by now and have found food to be very good and the service Equally outstanding. This venue can be classified as a sports bar. One of the outstanding features are the small T v's at every table and the number of large T v's throughout the establishment. This Allows each customer to select the number to select the sports or program they would like to watch during their time at the establishment. read more

have been going to this place for some time, but recently the ownership/management has started adding fees to each bill. A prop tax for minimum wage(optional tax which isn't mandated by city or state) and most recently a credit card fee!! That fee the credit card companies is a part of doing business and quite sure is a write off for the owner, yet this has been passed to the customer.. all done and said these fees tally up to ~$3 a bill. Not gonna break you, but add it up for everyone over a years time and now it sure looks like a money grab! very disappointed with this business as the wait staff and bartenders are great! Hopefully the owner is paying the wait staff the $15 minimum wage + tips since she is billing customers for it!! read more

This is a tough one to write. Everything that was bad could be easily fixed, so hopefully it will be addressed. -Bad smell in the restaurant. At first we thought it was a cleaning product with a bad/cheap fragrance, but after a while it still smelled and had a sour odor. Like they moped with old water or something. -Service. The waitress was nice when she was at our table. She was the only one on duty for Sunday lunch, until about 12:15 when another lady showed up. Our waitress was trying to help everyone and be friendly, but it slowed down placing our order, getting food and paying. I see other people calling this a dive bar, to which I disagree with. To me a dive bar is a place to go and drink for cheap and there is very little else to do than drink (maybe pool, an old juke box, or shuffleboard). To me, Sidelines is a sports bar... hence the sports reference in it's name. I'll be honest, I really don't like Sidelines. Every time I walk in I feel like I'm not wanted. I've gone when it's busy, when it's dead, alone, with a group, when an event is on, and when nothing is going on. I feel like the staff just doesn't really care if I am there. I feel like I am in Scottsdale where if I am not belching and acting like a total jackass, I will get no service. The food has never wow'd me. Not at all. Ever. Sure the screens are nice to watch some events on... but I'd much rather got to Zipps or tilted Kilt to watch. read more

This place is a hidden gem located by Taco Bell and Jimmy John's. If you are looking for a small and personal bar, this is the place to go. There are four booths, a couple tables, and a nice bar which portrays how small this place is, but let me tell you- the menu and food is terrific. There is one thing you should be coming here to get- The Buffalo Wings. I would recommend the honey hot wings as they are my favorite. If you don't take me up on that recommendation, you must take me up on this next one. GET THE WINGS GRILLED. Hands down the best wings I have ever had. Perfectly crisp on the outside. It is a dollar extra but completely worth it. I also love the tater tots from this place. On the negative side, they do charge for ranch and other sauces, but very cheap and they give you the first one for free. I enjoy the TV's at your own booth as well- you get a remote and can watch what you want to watch. The servers are always energetic and happy which I always enjoy. This is definitely a favorite whenever I'm craving wings. read more

Came here since Zipps had the first wait I ever experienced. I ordered boneless wings. Drinks and food took a bit. For a Friday night, the place was partially filled so it's not like they were slammed. Drinks were a bit slow. Server may have had too much on her plate (Nicole was her name). She was nice though, at least! Still prefer our regular Zipps but I do like their boneless wings! May be influenced by my broken wrist limitations and painkillers. Lol. read more

I LOVE this place!! We used to live right down the street, so we would go about 3 times a week. They have some of the best wings in Chandler!! Also, the prices on the regular menu are fantastic and the happy hour is even better. The staff is so so so friendly and personal, most of the waitresses knew our drink order as soon as we walked in the door. The booths are great as well. Each booth has its own television in it. I definitely recommend Sidelines to anyone looking for a very relaxed sports bar. read more

This has been the worst service ever! We came here on a Saturday with only two servers and one bartender. The owner should have stepped up and shown up to help! They were swamped!!! No tables and people walking out because service was so bad and not enough to take care of such a large crowd! We had waited 20 minutes to even be noticed and asked if the booth could be wiped down several times. Waited 30 minutes for my husband to get a kilt lifter and our food came out wrong and cold. They let go of Kat who was the best server. She took time off to donate an organ for a family member and needed more time to recover so they let her go. Wow! We will not return here. I got the bucket of grilled hot wings. They were fantastic! They are my new favorite wings I've ever had. I would highly recommend them. One flaw I experienced is slightly slow service. Very poor service on a night that didn't seem to be that busy. Server did a poor job of checking in and the food arrived dramatically earlier than our drinks which was really confusing. When we asked someone to help us get drinks they acted as though we were being rude for even bringing it up. The food was all deep fried and generic and the wait was 100% not worth it in the least. I gave up waiting to order a drink and just decided to close my tab since the service was so poor. Will never come back again. My husband and I stopped in for the first time here and I'm sure we'll be back. Excellent patio just missing misters (maybe they weren't turned on when we were there). We ordered the sampler, burger and a club sandwich. Portions are big except the sampler. I don't think we will order that ever again and wouldn't recommend it. Only the wings were good and you only got 3 wings- so not worth it. Onion rings were good but the zucchini and mozzarella sticks were below par. The burger was delicious and juicy with fresh onion tomato and lettuce. The club was delicious too and those curly fries complimented the entree completely. If it wasn't for the coupon I might of complained but overall not too bad. We just don't recommend the sampler going forward. Next time it'll probably be more of wing kind of meal, lol. I had seen this place about 3 months back and had been wanting to check it out. The service and atmosphere were pretty good but there was a football Sunday deal for 3.75 23 oz. Miller Lites so we ordered them because they were the best deal. When the check came it rang up as 5 per drink, so we asked for them to change it but they said it was an old deal and bud lights were on special and the manager could not honor the deal. These specials were on every table in the restaurant, if you're going to have deals, update them and dont leave old ones out to mislead customers. read more

Stopped here for happy hour, dinner and to catch the NBA playoffs. I had the beer battered fried pickles and tator tots while my friend had the wings and regular fries. Pickles were good but a little too salty and the tots were kinda oily. Regular fries were really tasty but then I tasted remnants of bacon in them and as a vegan I was grossed out lol my friend really liked the wings and said they were flavorful. They also have a huge selection of craft and draft beer and drinks. I had a regular margarita and it had way too much tequila in it. I ended up giving it to my friend. Service was really great! Our server was nice, attentive and accommodating. A true sports bar, they have a ton of TVs everywhere (even in the individual booths!) so you can catch any and every game. Overall really liked this place! Will definitely come back when in Phoenix again. read more

Let me say this..... wings were awesome! We went to this place based on reviews that they have the best wings in Chandler and they weren't kidding! Three of our party ordered 4 different types of wings - honey garlic, salt n pepper rub, Thai chili and buffalo (medium). They said all four were amazing. Plus they let you order (for a tiny bit more) all flats or all rounds. I ordered the chicken sandwich that had tons of fresh avocado (most places skimp on the avocado likes it's being rationed), Bacon, and Swiss cheese. The bun was perfectly toasted and it came with a side of either fries, curly fries, tots, etc. I order d the tots and they were really good, too. Draft beer was $3.75 (Miller lite) for 24oz. Which is a great price (non-happy hour.) We will definitely be back! Service was great! The server said she was fairly new but she did a great job! read more

Sidelines used to be our go to for wings We went in this weekend for dinner and it was a mess. This place is more bar now than anything else. We walked in and the sign said "wait to be seated" so my husband and I are standing there waiting and not a person helped us. Finally I had to flag down a waitress and she says "seat yourself" which would have been good to know. The place was packed (majority at the bar) We had to move a table to sit and the wait began After 10 mins of not a word from anyone we had enough. So we were getting up to leave when the waitress came over to us asking if she can get us a drink. My husband told her we're leaving. She said "OK" and walked off. We were frequent visitors but lately Sidelines charges a 'Card fee'. We paid with cash the last two times and still got charged a card fee. First time our server corrected it, second time the server never returned. Bad business integrity! That's going to fall back on your servers and not the bar. Sidelines should eat that expense for credit card purchase or at least notify customers before they order. (Before not after when the bill comes). Amateur antics and why would we come back? read more
