I've eaten here twice now and had a pleasant experience both times. I love their Reuben sandwich and the beer battered fries with blue cheese, high quality and tastes good especially with the reasonable prices. The servers are attentive and friendly, and even though it's usually busy we haven't ever had an issue getting booth seating when requested. This is my favorite place in town. All my friends probably wish I'd suggest another place to eat once in a while but I just can't get enough! I can easily eat here all week and have something different each day because the menu is enormous! Some food recommendations are: S pretzel, chicken pot pie, hot Nashville, and the jalapeño bacon grilled cheese (order with tomato bisque). I love to sit at the bar because the vibe is really great, especially during football season. Ty, Josh, and Payden are always there when I am and they provide incredible service! We have been a couple more times, and the hostesses have been much friendlier! Our server Kendall is such a sweetheart and a great server too! She is always happy to answer menu questions and never makes you feel rushed to make a decision. She gave us the frequent diner card the first time we were there, so we are racking up our points. We have gotten food to go for lunches the next day, while having dinner. We are trying to get something new each time, we have had pizza (several times) the fried mozzarella, not your usual cheese sticks, and great marinara. Burgers were good, hot and fresh every time. Potstickers were great, didn't have a ponzu sauce like some places, but they are so tasty, you really don't miss it. This will be our go to, great food and great service! (thanks Kendall!) read more

Cool building (parking sucks). Fun ambiance; decor and music choices fit the Americana theme. Spacious seating, great waitstaff and a solid menu. We ordered the fish and chips which was a solid chunk of flaky fish in a tasty and crispy breading- Tartar sauce had a nice tang. I also ordered French onion soup. It was served in a traditional earthenware bowl with sourdough bread slices and beautifully bubbly cheese. Our 4 year old ordered the cheeseburger which was the perfect price for a kids item ($7). Starting with the positive the food itself I would give a 5/5! The steak was juicy and flavorful and the Brussels sprouts were cheesy and delicious! The ambiance and military/veteran theme were really cool and I like the message. My only issue really was with the service. Everyone has a bad day but our waitress had a serious attitude and did not smile once. She never asked how I wanted my steak cooked and my meal was meant to have mashed potatoes which they forgot. We had to ask for refills on our drinks and they did not come until after our meal was finished. However she was quick to grab my roll which I had on a side plate as well as grabbing my credit card before bringing the check even though I had planned to split the check with my sister. Food was a bit pricey considering it was $42 for the steak which is the reason I am only giving it 4 stars. read more

While the main staff were all wonderful, the manager, Taylor, was unbelievably unprofessional in her behavior. We had been waiting for a table and after we checked on it, Taylor came over to us to say we had opted out of getting a text m essage and continued accusing us that we did indeed opt out. Your typical sports bar & restaurant, themed and dedicated to the military. Being retired Air Force, I loved the decor. I ordered a bison burger with their ghost pepper pepper jack cheese, which came with a side of fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, delicious, and the ghost pepper jack cheese was no joke. Our server was very attentive and very helpful when selecting a local IPA beer to accompany the burger. All around superior service and great food. Sidewinders was a great stop for dinner after a day of golfing and exploration by downtown Bozeman. We joined the Yelp waitlist online and were seated within 20 minutes of checking in. The restaurant is large, has cool decor, lots of TVs, and would be group for a group since it is a bit louder in there with the tall ceilings. We had mozzarella squares to start which were very tasty. Our group ordered Cesar salad with chicken, Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, Philly Steak sandwich and a mushroom and Swiss burger. New style building on the ritzy outskirts of Bozeman. Someone has called it a dive. But an upscale dive if it is. The King Salmon dish is great. The fish itself is fine, but it's the sauce that is memorable. Sauce in farro grains. Expensive but I'm glad I ordered it. Portion sizes are enormous. Easily enough for two normal diners. So if you do that, it's not expensive. My group had fish and chips, chicken pot pie, and a grilled cheese, all of which meet this descrption. There's a model of the air-to-air Sidewinder missile over the entrance hostess station, hence, apparently, the restaurant's name. It's 41 miles from Big Sky and in a part of Montana famous for billionaires. Snowcapped mountains out the windows on all sides. Dinner for five was around $125 plus tip. Not sure how you prepare two pizzas with zero sauce in either but they were not very flavorful. The server was responsive and offered several ways to make this right. A little confusing finding sidewinders locates in the marketplace. The resturant is a great bar with lots of variety. Even enough choices to get confused as to what you want. The staff are extremely helpful and on the spot. I took advantage of putting my name on the list via the yelp app. It game me 10 minutes to arrive aas when I did, our table was ready! Sweet, because there were a bunch oF people bbehind is waiting. We ordered burgers and beers. The service was top notch and very fast. The beers were plentiful and very good. Loved the choices and suggestions. Now the food, wasn't very impressive. It came out of the kitchen fast. But it really wasn't that much. The burger was sooo tiny, I'd guess not even a 1/4 pound - very disappointing. All in all it was a good experience, very pricey and just not much food. Worse yet, I am still hungry. : ( read more

Our experience at Sidewinders was excellent. I had the chicken pot pie and it was by far the best pot pie I have ever had. Kids enjoyed the wings and pizza slice. The pizza slice is huge! Thin crust so it goes down easy. The cookie and sundae was tasty too. We could have shared one cookie but didn't know just how big it was. Our waiter, Cooper, was one of the best servers I've had at any restaurant. Highly recommend. read more

We drove here from Anaconda as our friend recommended it, this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere is really cool with military gear around. The craft beers are amazing, and the food was great. My Brother and I were On a roadtrip from Louisville Kentucky and decided to stop at good ole Sidewinders. My brother and started off with a Locally brewed tart beer which was straight gas. I'm such a slut for them and this might have been the best one I've had. We ordered the sidewinder pretzel with Mozzarella, Pepperoni, and sausage inside. I HIGHLY recommend getting it stuffed with your favorite toppings because it was worth every penny. For our main course I got the fish n chips and my brother got the French Dip and it was SCHLAPPPIN BOIII. Portions were great for the price and tasted amazing. The fish n chips comes with five pieces of perfectly breaded cod which sits on a basket of fries with a BOWL and I mean a BOWL of their homemade tartar sauce which was incredible and duhhhhh I used all the tartar sauce too. Overall what you get from sidewinders is a great bar atmosphere experience with many TV's for sports where you and you friends can have a drink or pig out on some of the best bar cuisine Bozeman has to offer.
