My husband and I became obsessed after a couple visits to the Meridian location, and even more so after this. They were outstanding experiences, and since we had company in town we couldn't think of a better time to share our addiction and love for this place!!! On 07/10/2021, I started out with their soon-to-be-famous summer sangrias, which are basically adult Capri suns. I don't even remember what exactly what in mine but there was a strawberry purée that was amazing. It didn't last me long, and I had to refrain from getting another for the sake of getting home safe. I'm determined to try every sando on the static menu and next up was the Jekyll and Hyde (swiss cheese, grilled peach, stone ground mustard, bacon-onion jam, mixed greens, $12.25). Holy shit, this burger blew my freaking mind. The patty is THICCC AF. Not your cheap refrigerator patty - this guy was made with love and serious thought. If you didn't know, their burgers are a blend of 1/2 wagyu and 1/2 black angus from Snack River Farms and Double R Ranch. I've eaten a lot, I mean A WHOLE LOT of burgers in my 24 years and I'll say that Sid's definitely is some of the best. I love the creativity behind them. The peach was a delicious addition, even though they kept falling out of the sandwich. And don't think they're easy to eat. You'll get your hands dirty with these monsters so make sure you wash your hands before digging in and have plenty of napkins! For dessert, we shared the 420 milkshake (crumbled oreo cookies, chocolate, vanilla ice cream, jumbo cookie n cream sandwich, $12.00). The price might seem steep but these shakes are ginormous and worth every penny spent. Definitely shareable. I don't think we were able to finish out entire shake which was a shame, it was delicious. I loved the huge bundles of crumbled cookies hidden in the ice cream and all that whip cream. Best. Dinner. Ever. With both locations I've now been to Sid's Garage 3 times, and have always left a very happy patron. Fun place to go downtown for burgers. We stopped in on a Sunday night in October for a casual birthday dinner. Parking was so easy right on the street in front at that time. Parking at this location usually would be a deal breaker for me on a weekday. Too much of a headache. This is a great place if you have parking figured out and are not driving there hungry as you might have to stroll a few blocks from a parking spot. The menu is basically not so basic burgers and shakes. Sides are separate. Fries do not come with your burger but an order is big enough to share. We tried two shakes with the cake toppers to share amongst 4 of us and couldn't finish them. For the cost, shakes are a one time novelty. The burgers were tasty and interesting. My partner and I walked in excited as a friend had recommended this establishment. The pictures of the food online looked delicious to boot. However, this is where the fun ends. We were greeted at the door by a gentleman that seemed bothered we were there and grumpy. We wrote it off. We asked to sit at one of the booths instead of a table. The first thing the server says is, "I'm going to have to move you if a larger party comes in" ... as the restaurant is completely empty. The vibes were off and we felt unwelcome. My check-stomach light came on, so, we decided to pull-over at Sid's Garage in downtown Boise to get things checked out! Glad we did! Turns out once we were on the lift, our culinary mechanic said we were all in need for great burgers, shakes, and fries. Oh! And cold beers to cool off the ever over-heating internal radiator! This place is a young adult attitude restaurant. Fully committed to it image and unbending if you question its ways. Went to lunch with three others. Menu is organized badly and felt incomplete (I.e. no non-alcoholic drink section and right side of the main menu is labeled 'Burgers and Fries' but the burgers don't come with fries) We had a patient server to help us guide through it. One of the table ordered an appetizer as their meal and instinctively said "That can come with the rest of entrees please" and got a response that they can't control when things come out of the kitchen but it should be close... ... I found this extremely odd. Even if the place was slammed on a Friday night; the concept that a kitchen needed to have four dishes ready to go seems like a 'gimme' and on a Sunday afternoon with only three tables sat. The stance is just mind boggling. The statement from the server was so matter of fact it just must be how they operate. The servers was right too. Our 4 dishes plus some fries came to the table (fries first) over about six minutes one plate at a time. Weird, like the kitchen just didn't care. The food was very good. The burgers were creative and it all had a 'big flavors' vibe. Like other said, music is way too loud. Probably because they didn't invest in enough speakers so the ones they have need to overcompensate? Either way, very distracting. Cost was fine. I came from LA and looked up "best burger spot in Boise" and found this spot. This is an A1 location with great food, beer, and service. SPECIFICALLY, Dylan, an absolute ALL STAR. She said she had only been there for two weeks but I personally DO NOT believe her considering the service we got. I felt so welcomed and well taken care of and her energy was just amazing. Shout out to you Dylan because you are an angel. Management most definitely needs to take a moment to recognize your attitude. **Fantastic burgers** My father-in-law and I were coming back from a camping trip in the Sawtooth Mountains, and decided to stay in Boise for a night before heading back home. A quick search of yelp, and I was fixated on this spot. I had the tater tots app with pork belly, special sauce, and a fried egg on top. The tots were crispy and the special sauce was amazing. The pork belly was blah and didn't enhance the dish at all. This could have been left off, but over all a solid app. For my burger selection, I had to go with the trailer trash burger (I believe this is a new burger on their menu?) due to my love of hot Cheetos. WOW - this burger was so good. The Cheetos marry perfect with their onion jam spread. This is a must get. Service was great. Stopped here in our way out. Nice menu, cool items. We placed an order for the tots, fried green beans, Nashville hot chicken and the steakhouse burger. They had shakes that have the option to have CBD but they just ran out of CBD. Our sides came first and then our entrees. It was good. I would have liked the pork belly to be more crispy on the tots but it's okay. The Nashville got chicken was just hot. The chicken was juicy, and freed nice but I feel it was missing the soak in the actual Nashville hot chicken sauce. Hubbys burger was good. He asked for med but it was cooked well and that's okay. If you have a disability and a service animal, you are more than welcome now at Sid's Garage. I left a scathing review before after being turned away as a person who uses a wheelchair with my service animal on the 23rd of April 2022. Since then, I have contacted Disability Rights of Idaho and received a breakdown of Idaho as well as Federal law on service animals in public places validating my request for accommodations. (Always check yourself) Only a couple of days ago, I sent an email to the owner and understandably have not yet received a reply. I live across the street however and the food smells so good and the atmosphere is alluring so I and another friend tried it again with peace in our hearts. I was greeted by the same employee as the time before. He eagerly greeted me, offered sincere apologies for "misunderstandings" and seated us straight away at a great table. He was very personable and the server was excellent in food and drink suggestions from their ample menu. We ate hardy burgers and breaded green beans served with an awesome sauce and aioli washed down with a Red Bull and wine slushy. LOL sounds crazy but it was phenomenal, and the meal was complimentary. Thank you "Stu." I strongly recommend you take in this awesome restaurant on the corner of 10th and Main downtown Boise. They have great food and drinks including several beers and civil liberties intact. Patio seating is also available! LOL read more

Right now is probably not the best time to go to Sid's being they're doing construction right outside the front door! Digging up the street, jackhammers. Etc. but we were here from out of town & heard good things so wanted to try it. the waitress was very nice; apologetic about the noise & thanked us for being willing to eat there despite all that. She sat us as far away from the door as she could which was nice. As per the other reviews, the music was on the loud side, but great songs from all genres. Plus it muffled out the noise of construction. You don't typically go to a diner/burger place for a romantic date anyway, so who cares. Burgers were good & all presented in different funky ways. My daughter's was in old fashioned tin lunch box which she loved. We started off with the fried green beans which were great. Not too much batter & were crispy. We had to give them a minute to cool down which is also a great plus. We ordered the tater tots appetizer; (can't remember the funny name though.) the sauce over the top was great. The waitress "warned us" when we ordered it there was an over easy egg on the bottom. The menu did say that, but she said many people don't read it. But then told us, "get it! Sounds weird but you'll love it!" She was so right! When you get to the egg it's like a second sauce. My son excitedly said when he found the egg; "I found it!" So I definitely recommend those 2 appetizers. All 3 of our burgers were good. 1/2lb & cooked how we asked. Our waitress asked us how we wanted them done & as per a 17 year old boy, he just shrugged. Before I jumped in to explain she said he could have it still mooing, pink, slightly pink, all brown or like leather. He thought that was hysterically funny. Only taking off one star because sides were not included & everything on the pricey side. But again, we were on vacation & here to have fun. I can't remember our waitresses name; she had multiple tattoos & piercings. But she was so sweet, attentive. Checked on us often & we never lacked fresh water. I was just too sweet for me, I needed water after and I definitely couldn't drink more than one. The Parmesan Truffle fried were perfect. The Boss Hog burger was the highlight of the meal though! So juicy and had tons of favor. And who knew, you get a show when it comes out... hint... smells so good! I came here for lunch with the fam and my folks, who were visiting from Tennessee. Our waiter was Jack, and my advice to you is if you come here, get seated in his section. Jack was probably the best waiter I've had in Idaho thus far: he was super attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable, always had a smile on his face, and he made our time there very comfortable and nice. Jack even turned down the music over our outside table (I like loud music but my folks don't), and Sid's Garage is lucky to have him as an employee. I had the PB&J burger which I highly recommend, along with a serving of candied bacon. Everyone else also enjoyed their burgers and fries. The Meridian location is closer to where I live, but because we liked Jack so much, we will dine here for tasty burgers when we come to Boise....100% would recommend! Cheers!! read more

The barkeep right now just reminded me of my ice in beer habit, having remembered myself from last visit. Evidently she is a more than a name to face gal; rather a name to face to entire drinking history at the bar. Big brother, in a good way. Ok, now time to review the burger I was served half an hour ago, approximately ten minutes after I entered ( Excellent prep, cook & serve time here.. ). I asked for the Hangover medium rare. I received an extremely juicy medium cooked burger, no blood. Evidently the cook is not adventurous enough, but he or she did a bang~up job, anyhoos... The bacon was crisp yet chewy; the egg was sunny side up & perfectly runny; The pretzel bun bready with no extra seasoning. In essence, a perfect medium cooked burger. By the way, the prep size is 1/2 pound, which seriously kicked this fatty'$ wimpy stomach's ass. If I could have somehow influenced the cook's cook temp position towards medium rare, this burger would have received the aforementioned 7/5 stars, forcing this reviewer to ratchet it down to 6/5 stars... By the way, I've been here for about an hour & boxed up my burger remains, & none of the staff have presented me with a check, Daddy likes. We ordered the bacon burger and a plain cheeseburger for my daughter (literally meat and cheese), as well as tempura green beans and fries. The burgers are 1/4 lb. wagyu and ground beef, it was a huge patty and very well cooked. There was a bit too much pepper on the patties, and you couldn't taste the candied bacon with all the other flavors. Service was a bit slow and took a while to cash out and be checked on.
