Tried Sids this past Friday night- around 6 pm. Place was pretty empty. We intended to eat an appetizer and what we had heard were great burgers but on ordering drinks realized the drinks menu is so limited that we decided to just have an appetizer. I asked for a glass of wine- any would have been fine but they have zero wines by the glass. Not being a beer drinker i ordered a cider/ slightly odd tasting and I left it undrunk. Burgers sounded great and reasonably priced but the $9 very small order of pretzel bites with a small serving of a mediocre cheese dip was way overpriced. We'd not return just because the drinks are so limited. Might try the burgers for takeout! read more

Absolutely awesome dining experience. Multiple staff members greeted us when we walked in. We were seated promptly and offered drinks and appetizers immediately. The truffle fries are these shoe string fries, fried extra crispy topped w/ shredded Parmesan and truffle oil. Eaten w/ ketchup it has this lovely, almost Italian vibe to it. Our waitress was engaging and attentive. She was very effective in helping me make a decision on from of their incredibly interesting and unique burger menu. She talked me into trying peanut butter on a burger foe the first time so I had the PBB & J burger cooked medium rare. The burger came w/ peanut butter, bacon, lettuce, cheddar cheese and a slightly spice jam. It's a delicious meat blend and they cooked it exactly like I asked for. I thought the burger was going to slide right out of the buns when I bit into and get every where but while it is a messy burger, it holds together really nicely and the mess is no more than a few napkin-er. Excellent portions on the toppings and a great stacking order. Come hungry because it's a large burger and if it's your first time, you'll want to save room for one of their equally novel milkshakes. The pictures you see on Yelp don't do them justice... they're even bigger in person. We got the 420... it's just as absurd as it sounds. On your way out to go home and fall into a food coma, basically the entire staff in the kitchen & dining area will thank you for coming in and wish you to come back soon. This place is so well managed. My girlfriend and I sincerely appreciate the food, the service and the feeling of feeling appreciated. In times like these, this dining experience was refreshing. It's official, Sid's Garage just surpassed every level of customer service and hamburger standard I've ever had! The moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted and felt as though I was just welcomed home! I ordered the local pale ale, sweet potato fries and steakhouse hamburger... WOW, it was incredible! I also had the pleasure of meeting the GM who provided me a list of places to check out during my visit to Boise! Lucky for me I'll be visiting Boise every few months now, and I guarantee Sid's Garage will always be at the top of my list to visit again. It's just so overpriced. The burgers are overpriced, and they don't even come with a side. The Maui Wowie was good, but definitely didn't blow my mind. The service was very annoying. It didn't seem like you had one server for your table so everyone came and checked on you and told you the same thing and pushed the same milkshake. The milkshakes (which aren't huge) are $12! We had multiple people come to our table and tell us we had to order a milkshake! Sorry Sid, our family will not be returning or recommending. read more

Went there during lunch rush hour, the service was spectacular even as they had people walking in every couple minutes. We got the candied bacon, fries, two different burgers and a shake and everything was beyond tasty. Everything was served in a unique way including our shake with a cake on top of it. I went in thinking it was overpriced but after my first bite I was wondering why the bacon wasn't more expensive. Huge thanks to the staff for making us feel like friends they haven't seen in a while. I am from Reno Nv and had wanted to try this place for a while. I'd only heard great things about Sids. The staff is so nice and friendly, very accommodating! We started off with French fries and sweet potato fries ! By far the best sweet potato fries I've had. Between us 4 adults we got 3 of the boss hog burgers and 1 Maui wowie. All were amazing! Loved the food but couldn't hear anyone at my table. What is up with the LOUD music?

Went to Sid's Garage downtown Boise for lunch on Father's Day. I ordered the hangover burger which comes with an over easy egg, smoked bacon and cheese. The egg was close to raw, even the white part was runny. So, I asked them to cook it a bit more. I waited and waited, no burger. The waitress never checked on us or attempted to refill drinks or anything. 15 minutes after everyone was finished eating, I was finally able to grab her attention and asked her to check on my order. She promptly brought me a cold burger with an overcooked egg, which was fine, I would've eaten it that way, it seriously looked like the cheese had been scraped off and there was no bacon (that I could see) on it. I got up and went to talk to who I thought might be the manager. He literally argued with me about the bacon, and even asked me to "lift up the bun and egg" to show me. Apparently the bacon was under the half dollar sized cheese. I told him that I wasn't paying for it, as I had already eaten the kids leftover mac n cheese and the rest of my party had finished eating 20 minutes ago. He literally just stared at me and was not going to take it off my bill. I told him I didn't want it and he literally asked me if I wanted a box. I told him no because I didn't want it, and he was like are you ready to pay?. I got angry and just paid ($66) for 3 people. Then he had the nerve to strike up a conversation wanting to know what we were doing the rest of the day. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Horrible service!! read more
