Sierra Grille is one of the places I missed most when I left Jax for school and was ALWAYS one of my stops when I was home. I have been here probably over 100 times and is consistent every time, no matter what day or time I go. I also often see the same staff which I think says a lot about a restaurant. The place is always clean and the food is quick but long enough that you know they made your food fresh to order. The food is fresh and delicious. I always get the chicken and black bean quesadilla, but have tried a variety of different options and honestly haven't had a single thing that I didn't like. I also love that each quesadilla comes with guac and sour cream (though I sub out the SC for extra guac) and chips as well as access to the salsa bar which has so many options you will find something you love. Their queso is also amazing and you can get a personal side that is the perfect amount for one person. A couple more unique things that they do that really sets them apart. They have fresh squeeze lemonade, limeade, and you can add cherry flavoring. It's refreshing and delightful. Their homemade ranch is also droolworthy. Sierra Grille is something that a lot of people outside of the Beaches don't often know about, but they are truly missing out. I love this deli! They have a special menu on the back of the menu. They combine traditional subs with other sub toppings, such as an Italian sub with chopped meatballs and provolone cheese. It's a simple menu, but once you add a side of their thick and creamy ranch, your burrito is elevated to another level. We mix it up a bit, but the steak burrito is a winner all the time. I've been coming here for at least 10 years now, ever since I was in the 7th grade. I'm 22 fresh out of college now, and Sierra Grille has been consistently amazing, up till now. There's two things for me; the salsa bar and the grilled burritos. I am in love with the roasted tomato salsa and the pineapple salsa, they pair perfectly with everything on the menu. And the burritos, they're absolutely perfect in size and shape, and the best part is, they grill them on the flat top so the tortilla is toasty and crispy. Everything is extraordinarily plain. I mean, I don't even think they add salt. There is definitely no cumin, no garlic, no parsley, no cilantro, no onion -- no spice of any kind. This is my favorite order at the counter burrito place. I grew up in Jacksonville and ate at Sierra Grille all the time. I wish we had them in South Florida instead of places like Chipotle. Three things make Sierra Grille better than other burrito joints: 1. Made to order. All items are made to order, unlike other places where they are scooping the ingredients out of vats. 2. Fresh & Quality ingredients. Everything tastes fresh and healthy. Nothing is greasy. You don't feel guilty eating here. 3. Salsa bar! I really don't like burrito places that don't have a salsa bar. It just doesn't make sense. So, not only does Sierra Grille have a salsa bar, but they have really good salsa. The pineapple and the verde salsas are my favorites. Over the years I've tried numerous items, but I pretty much always get the veggie burrito. I try veggie burritos at every new burrito place I go, and this one is by far the best. It has refried beans, rice, grilled peppers & onions with fresh pico de gallo salsa & jack cheese. Add some pineapple salsa to it, and it's perfect! For those queso fans out there, SG's is on point. I have been a couple times over the years, but none recent enough to write a respectable review. Until recently. My current situation requires that I be out of the house on a semi-regular basis. Which for this work at home girl could be a hassle, but for the avid yelper in me - I LOVE it. For lunch we ended up at Sierra Grille on our most recent expedition. Having read Mark B's review of the Mexican pizza, I knew what I wanted going in. The pizza was a lot bigger (and a lot more filling) than I expected. Re-examining the picture I had seen, it was accurate; I just couldn't believe it was that big. The tortilla had a nice crispness to it even though it was piled high with lettuce & tomato. Plenty of cheese and a decent amount of chicken too. I think I found my new go-to order as well. And as Anna J. said, they are not stingy with their chips. When I continued to steal my husband's I told him they would give him more if he just asked (based on reading her review) and they did! Gotta love it. The salsa bar is a favorite stop and the pineapple salsa gave a nice sweetness to the end of a delicious meal. When I rate a Mexican restaurant, I defer to my son who is the Zen-master of all things Mexican. He liked Sierra Grill, from the multiple salsa bar to the laid back feel. Choices were good and food was well prepared and served quickly. This is a counter service restaurant. My son ordered the steak burritto, while I ordered the Hawaiian steak burritto. He ate all of his and half of mine, pronouncing the Hawaiian steak the best of the two. We tried all the salsa options and found several we liked, but half the fun was trying them all. This small hole in the wall place is a definite go to. I have never seen a place that takes care of the customers so quickly and precisely with the manners and being so respectful the quickness in their customer service the people who run their registers and getting the orders correct then this place. I worked for this company years ago when they were in Mandarin and so glad that they still have this location. The restaurant itself is got enough space the menu is very friendly for anyone whether it's trying to eat healthy maybe not so healthy are just letting go. I personally am eating keto right now on a diet and I can honestly say they were very easy to work with and making sure that I was taken care of in my wants and needs. For the amount of people that come in they handle them and get the food outSo quickly. But not just that they have a salsa bar that is off the chain really good and fresh from mild to spicy to sweet. Was out in Ponte Vedra for baseball today and decided to stop in for a late lunch on the way home. Nice, clean place next to Target right off way south 3rd street. Walkup order, then take a seat until your number is called. Food was pretty good. I had the southwest burrito. My son had the surf and turf burrito. My daughter had the steak burrito and my wife had some sort of pork platter with a side salad. Food came up quick and it was pretty good. The sauce bar is really the star of the show here. Located in an unassuming strip mall, you will find the tastiest quick eatery near the beach. All of their products are made from fresh and never frozen ingredients. Their menu includes southwest fare from tacos, to burritos to quesadillas. I can't really speak about a lot of the items on the menu because each time I am here, I get the same thing. Normally I would rate my Sierra experience a 4 or 5, but this last visit wasn't one to rave about. I love going to Sierra because I've found them to carry the best gluten free tortillas, but it seems as though they've changed them. I always order the veggie burrito and the pepper and onion quesadilla (I think I'm a fat person in a skinny body ha). This time the burrito stuck to the wrapping and was extremely gummy. The quesadilla was the same way. Very disappointing as the other tortillas were always so good! At first I thought maybe they accidently gave me the regular tortillas, but I called and spoke to a manager who explained that they did change the gfree tortillas. She was extremely nice and understanding and mentioned that others have made the same comments and agreed be sure to relay the information to the owner. I will still continue to go to Sierra in hopes that they go back to the original gluten free tortillas. read more

Don't know how they keep it all fresh, but I'm gonna have to believe their line that nothing is frozen. Have eaten there 6 or 7 times now in the past 6 months and have been quite happy each time. The only item that I found disappointing was the Spicy Shrimp soft taco. The texture of the shrimp was quite rubbery. A special taste from there is the ranch sauce which has a different , better texture than normal ranch. FYI: Don't order extra chips, your plate comes overflowing with them.
