They gave me what seemed like a reasonable initial…read moreimpression, but when the actual quote came back it was around $2,400, and then they started pushing unnecessary add-ons. The part itself wasn't expensive, but they insisted the labor was extensive and pressured me into getting it repaired immediately. not trusting my instincts but also needing my car back quickly, I went ahead with the repair. About a month later, I found out the issue was actually related to a recall. That meant I could have had the entire repair done at the dealership for free. What makes it worse is that they clearly knew something was up they even told me they had to contact the dealer for information. Because of that, I ended up paying a couple THOUSAND dollars I didn't need to spend. In hindsight, they were aware it was likely a recall and didn't disclose it properly. Very shady experience definitely go somewhere else.

After reviewing a few companies on Yelp, I felt the need to call. Francisco answered the phone and listened to what I was experiencing with the AC. I booked an appointment for the next morning. The shop was busy and I waited my turn in line. A few of the customers that I saw coming in had been in before for other reasons and obviously had a positive experience because they felt like they knew Alba and Francisco really well and trusted the team. Within a few minutes, my car was being looked at. I took a walk around the park, which is very close by and came back in 30 minutes and they assessed that I need a new compressor. Luckily, before I got back, Alba had already ordered it, and it was on its way taking about 30 minutes to get there. A price was quoted, and it was fair and reasonable. Because it was gonna take a few hours, my wife picked me up and we ran some errands. I received a call and it was from Alba around noon. He said they installed the new one and took it for a test drive. It worked good for a few minutes then stopped. He assess the problems already ordered a new one and said he'll have it done before the end of the day. I received a call around three saying the car will be done by four so at 3:30 I headed to the shop. The car was waiting for me out front. Alba took the time to explain what it happened. He also went above and changed many of the fittings as he seen problems with them before. He even changed one of the belts that control the compressor at no charge. Alba and his team are truly a rare find. Noticing all the workers were always engaged and working. They really have a good team. Well, in the lobby, there was a sign on the wall I read I wish I took a picture of it, but I didn't. It spoke to listen to the customer write down the problem. Assess the situation and determine the solution and communication with the customer. You can tell that this establishment embodies that culture. They do more than just AC as I heard other people were in there for brakes and other things. I definitely will recommend this company to my friends and family. This is an honest Repair shop that goes above and beyond. And towards the end, I realized they were AAA approved.

After I dropped off my vehicle, I received a call from an employee named Alba informing me that the price had increased to $756. When I politely asked why the quote had nearly doubled, instead of receiving an explanation, the conversation became hostile. I told him that the new price was not what I had been quoted over the phone and that I felt I had been misled. He responded by saying, "There's no crime in lying. Where's the law about lying?" He then told me to "pick up your car and get the f*** out of here." When I told him that his language and behavior were rude and unprofessional, he replied that I was displaying "typical California shit" and again told me to "get the F out of here." What disappointed me most is that I wasn't upset simply because the price changed. I understand that estimates sometimes change if additional work is required. I was upset because of the way I was treated after asking a reasonable question about the difference between the original quote and the revised price. Before posting this review, I called the shop hoping to speak directly with the owner to resolve the matter privately. I asked for the owner's name or a way to contact him, but I was told that information was not available to me. He carefully laid out a plan of diagnosis and probable solutions. They were busy yet we're able to take a look at the car. Every step along the way the explained what they were going to do, the costs and then the final repairs and time associated with such repairs. Costs were reasonable, Jeff Lucente the technician was very knowledgeable and clear as to what could be done and what should be done. They were very timely in their repairs. The even made a few favorable financial changes in my favor. They took a few pics for me to send to the previous mechanic who did previous repair work badly causing this issue to arise.
