    Buddy!

Bartender and Live Music (Buddy) were lovely. As were the goats. The outdoor patio is comfortable. I didn't mind going to the bar to get our drinks. The bartender was quick and friendly. But it was a little off-putting that there *was* an ourdoor server who asked after every table around us multiple times, and neglected eye contact even once for us.

The place is quirky for sure. The plus was it was cool and relatively quite. We were served drinks promptly. There was no offer of a food menu. We tried several times to ask for one with no luck. Although, after watching the food being made.....maybe for the best. The bartenders hung at the far end of the bar. After 1/2 hour we finally got someone's attention to tab out. I was really disappointed. When researching Memphis i was excited to go here. And i didn't even get to see the goats. Jon Taffer should visit.

The place had all the makings of a fine Southern evening: beer cold enough to fog your glasses, laughter spilling out like it was happy hour at the Baptist convention, and music loud enough to cover the sound of your arteries hardening. The food? Well, bless its heart. The pulled pork came in generous heaps, the beans looked like they'd been working night shift in a can, and the slaw had more run than a Georgia Tech quarterback. Onion rings the size of hula hoops looked good until you bit in and wondered why you bothered. But that's alright. You don't come here for a culinary awakening. You come for the vibe, the porch-sittin', and the alcohol strong enough to make you forget the food wasn't worth writing home about. And for that, it delivers just fine. Macon, the waiter, hustled like a man trying to pay child support and alimony both at once. He may have got me on the bill but I still tipped him 20%. He did this while slaying the dragon. We might have had a roof once but they traded it for the breeze. Yeah, I will go back and have a bourbon.

Silky Sullivan's on Beale Street is a great spot--live music, delicious food, great service and a lively Memphis vibe all rolled into one. The gumbo and catfish is amazing!!!

The gumbo was very good. Could have had more flavor, but I was overall happy with it. The cornbread pancake was a little dry. The drink was ok. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and was happy with his choice. Mixing the 2 BBQ sauces for the win. Service was not "with a smile." The goats were nothing to write home about as I had read. Disappointed. I went for the goats. I wanted to feed them and see them guzzle beer.

A group of us came in here on a Wednesday afternoon solely because of the goats. The food and the drinks are of average price for the area. Neither are anything to get too excited about. Irish bars aren't really known for their BBQ, but Silky's has it (my friends were not impressed). There is vegetarian option (veggie burger) which serves as the only veggie option besides sides and appetizers. It was truly just acceptable. The fries are decent. What actually makes this place memorable is the live music, and of course, the goats! These two lazy goats live in their little tower and amble down at will to graze and sun. They truly live a life of leisure. I think it was worth visiting here just to the rotund one waddle down the ramp.

Came here for a conference event so we had some drink tickets as well as catered food. The food was decent...pulled chicken bbq was actually quite good but the options were limited; no complaints from me because I wasn't paying! Bartenders were friendly and even though the place was pretty crowded, they really hustled. There was live music inside and outside. The piano player inside was really good but the guy on the keyboards outside was amazing. I really enjoyed listening to both of them, although I would have preferred if they weren't so deafeningly loud. The event was a networking event so it's kind of hard to network when you have to have someone scream directly into your ear to hear them. Not for nothing, but Covid is still a thing so being covered in the spit of dozens of strangers as they shout directly into my ear isn't tops on my list of activities for 2023. Other than that, it was a fun evening. For live music and beer in plastic cups, this is the place to be!

I was so excited to try out this pub! The fact that this place is located on Beale street, was a huge disappointment. After reading reviews we decided it wasn't the place to eat and in all honesty I was there for the goats and my daughter was there for the drinks. We were greeted at the door and said we'd be outside with the goats. There were only two goats and the service was nonexistent. It smelt inside of stale beer hence going on the patio in the heat. The place really needed to be scrubbed from top to bottom. After waiting over 20 minutes we decided to venture elsewhere. Not sure if it was the day and time we went but it certainly wasn't a highlight.

They have nice ambience and have music to vibe there. The bartender was nice the day I went. The food was pretty good and the drinks were good too. I brought the BBQ pork nachos and fried oysters. I would return just for the food alone.

The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!

Here's a clean, strong review that keeps your energy: Hands down one of the best spots in town. The beer selection is top-tier--something for everyone, whether you're into classics or trying something new. The food is next level, especially the fries... easily top 3 I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The atmosphere seals the deal: great music, high energy, and the fact that they're open until 3am is a game changer. Best part? The service is always on point. Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I've ever encountered. As soon as we sat down at the bar, the bartender--a Caucasian woman with a short haircut whose name I unfortunately didn't get--greeted us with an attitude that immediately made us feel unwelcome. Instead of providing friendly service, she was dismissive, impatient, and rushed us through placing our to-go order. She informed us that we could not eat at the bar, which was completely fine. We agreed without any issue and ordered our food to go. However, when my food arrived, I simply opened the container to make sure my order was correct before leaving. She immediately rushed back over and aggressively said, "Didn't I tell you that you could not eat at the bar?" I hadn't taken a single bite--I was only checking my order. Rather than politely clarifying the policy, she continued to scold us and make us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. We still hadn't even received my friend's food, yet she seemed more interested in lecturing us than providing basic customer service. Once my friend's food finally arrived, we left as quickly as possible. As visitors in town celebrating Pride, we expected a welcoming atmosphere and basic courtesy. Instead, we experienced hostility, impatience, and a complete lack of professionalism. There's a huge difference between enforcing a policy and treating customers with disrespect, and this bartender clearly doesn't understand that distinction. The food may have been fine, but the service was so unpleasant that I would never return or recommend Bar Dogs to anyone looking for a friendly place to eat or have a drink. Customer service training is desperately needed.

Later during the meal, he admits that Momma's is one of his spots, so that's saying a lot. It sort of looked like another bar/restaurant from the outside, but they have a nice outdoor patio overlooking an old decrepit building which is at least some scenery. Once inside, you'll quickly see it's highly decorated and has a claim to be one of the only trucker themed bars in the US. Inside is decked out to the ceilings with signs, neon, old mirrors, collectibles, and many other items. I swear it looks like it's been in business for 30+ years, but my client said only a couple of years. I looked over the basic menu and saw burgers, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, a famous pork chop, wings and a few other items. The client and my colleague quickly ordered devilled eggs, cheese curds, and chili cheese fries. The first two apps were really good, I didn't try the fries though. They had a burger of the day, and a food special of the day, but I settled on the wings. With those I chose the 10 pc, Buffalo with dry rub, smoked. Kind of a weird combination since most people usually order dry here apparently, but I like saucy wings. When they come out, they are huge and I knew I wouldn't be able to finish them. I think I could only eat 6-7. My colleague had a ribeye steak salad which was a protein bomb he loved, and my 2 clients ordered a big rig grilled cheese which he also loved and a fried chicken sandwich (firebird) which looked really good. Overall, I really liked this place and it's one of the best meals I've had in Memphis the handful of times I've visited.
