Silver Diner is an All American, all-day breakfast/ spot with the option to eat inside or under covered tables in their parking lot. I noticed parking was a bit far from the front door so plan to drop off anyone who may need a bit less of a commute. We got a a table in the back to be able to see our cars from the table. Eric our waiter was attentive and helped us out with extra drinks, to go boxes, etc. The food was okay - large quantities, some seasoning, can be customized partly. I did notice my food came with a breakfast meat but I had to ask for it to receive it. I did have to pay extra for the strawberries. My friend ordered a cheeseburger and he was pleased. Overall great for feeding a crowd or a bunch of picky eaters. Definitely recommend for families or small kids in town! read more

Went to Silver Diner today, ordered the buttermilk pancakes and eggs, surprisingly the food came out in five minutes! Almost like the eggs and pancakes were waiting for me, well that's the problem. My over easy eggs looked like last week's leftovers, cold, and overcooked. Nothing easy about it. It was simply gross, something so easy to cook fresh was compromised for speed. I'm guessing everything on my plate was previously cooked and microwaved. You can do better, especially a meal a 8 year old can easily cook! Service was well below average - inattentive, drinks brought well after the meal was served, hamburger over cooked, empty ketchup bottle on the table replaced well after food was already eaten. It was near my parent's hotel and it has something for everyone, hence we ended up here. On this visit, I had the chopped Cobb salad. In a unique twist, they throw a scoop of guacamole in the center in place of chopped avocado. I think I actually like the guacamole better! The salad comes half or full. I opted for the full and couldn't finish it despite my best efforts. My mom had one of the under 600calorie meals, the lemon chicken piccata. She said it was really tasty. My dad had the meatloaf and he finished his too. For dessert we shared key lime pie and the brownie sundae. The pie was just ok but the sundae was excellent! Our service was friendly and patient with my parents. They liked the old timey diner ambiance. They picked and paid for juke box songs that never came on though; so it makes me wonder how that works. The ambiance was great, with the jukebox playing as we were seated. It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon, not busy at all. However, the service was frustrating and felt disorganized. It seemed like our server had difficulty understanding English, as we had to repeat everything multiple times. I ordered coffee and received it without cream. When I asked for a booster seat, we were first given a high chair after a 10-minute wait, and then another 5 minutes passed before the booster seat arrived. I had to remind her to bring a plate for the baby and clarify that I wanted lemonade in a kids' cup, which she initially didn't understand. I ordered the caramel French toast, but it wasn't hot and barely had any caramel flavor. I decided to accept it being lukewarm since I was sharing with the baby, but it was disappointing overall. My husband's meal was also cold, and we had to send it back. His soup was unappetizing, so he sent that back too. To make things worse, the server wouldn't let him order both soup and salad. My potatoes arrived overcooked and cold, so those had to go back as well. The French toast didn't even taste like it had been properly prepared--it was just plain bread with no butter, and overall very subpar. Went to Sliver Diner to grab something to eat .I was greeting once I walked in . The Host tried to sit me in the very back , away from everyone so I suggested to be moved closer . Once I sat down I was greeted with the waiter . My first thought is try one if there seasonal menu items . But further looking through the menu I changed my mind . While the menu sounds impressive, the food itself remains just sub par. I've tried several items from the menu each leaving me rather unimpressed. The service was also lacking. When I asked him fo a baby carrier sling to place my car seat, he said they didn't have anything like that. 10 minutes later, I went to the restroom and found a stack of them pinned up in the hallway. This location has done a great job of setting up outdoor seating, fully covered from the elements by tents and nicely decorated with potted plants and hanging flower baskets. Really enjoyed having the option, and the outdoor service was attentive. Tried the new Mediterranean Lamb Meatball Bowl and ate the whole thing. Requested dressing on the side, which my server forgot, but it was good regardless. Salad is a little heavy on the red onion, which I don't mind. Meatballs were warm and flavorful, not dry. I went there for Sunday brunch on May 19th with my lady friend. We each ordered one of their "Eye Openers". In my case their Chesapeake Bloody Mary (which had no horse radish and had so much Tabasco that it just burned my lips) Our server Linda apologized when our pancakes were delivered minutes before we ever got our "Eye Openers". She explained that they only had one person making the drinks and that our order was the next one in the queue after a kid's milk shake. Considering that we shared one order of their blueberry pancakes which were excellent, and a side of Turkey Bacon and each had an "Eye Opener" The bill came to $47.12 before tip and $56.01 after the tip it is hardly a good value. My wife and I have been to Silver Diner locations on a handful of occasions and brought our friends and family to add. This particular location was quiet with quick seating which we appreciated. I ordered the chicken pot pie which I've had at other locations and enjoy but there was something special about this restaurant. A pot pie is a pie with crust all around. This was a bowl with two pieces of breading on top. I don't even know how to describe the breading on top as it was like a hat, not even secured to the dish as it slid around. It was so unusual that I showed the server a picture of a real chicken pot pie so that she could see the difference. I don't think she appreciated what I was saying and I didn't finish the dish as it wasn't the same and tasted odd. Well we decided to give this silver diner a try and Ray was our server. The food on Sunday afternoon was great! Even the Bloody Mary are served with the spicy strength as requested and the vanilla milkshakes are so thick Barry said the straws that they give you look like pipes. The food is great, he thought that their chefs must have been stolen from somewhere cool. The place is clean with air filtration systems that make you feel that you're being protected. I go to SD all the time. More so during Covid since they offered service under tents in their parking lot. I'm glad they have decided to keep them up post Covid. So the owner of SD was on the Food Channel's show Chopped and won. The guy was pretty amazing. That's why it pains me to say the food at SD is just ok. We recently came for breakfast in Feb 2023 and it wasn't the Silver Diner we remembered. We were seated in a corner booth and service was really slow. We had to flag down multiple servers to get silverware/water/orders placed. The omelet was flavorless and tasted as unappetizing as it looked. The waffle wasn't anything special and plain. We ordered a kid's breakfast with a sad, single scrambled egg and soggy fruit. It was hard to justify the $50 bill for this meal. We thought our last visit was a bad day for them and decided to give it another shot for dinner last night. We ordered the salmon/shrimp special, crab cake platter, and a kids mac & cheese meal. The salmon and shrimp was tasty and a good portion. The crab cake was very disappointing. There was no crabmeat, way too much filler/crust, and it was weirdly sweet like they used cornbread or some kind of cake to bind it. The kids mac & cheese was hard to mess up and we got steamed edamame as a side. Our server was attentive and came by often. We paid $95 including tip which felt way too much for less than average dinner. TDLR: the food quality/preparation is a miss, service is alright, but WAY overpriced for what you get. read more
