Stopped in for a bite before our visit to Costco. All and all pretty clean spot. Our waitress was kind and quick with service. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles and they were ok. Felt more like oversized chicken tenders vs a chicken breast. Still good, pecan waffles were a bit too chunky though imo. The Huevos Rancheros my wife ordered was delicious. My wife's mother ordered the Philly Steak Omelette. She said it was good but too much steak for her. Milkshake was great and I love how they give you extra. Good time for quick bite. read more

I love Silver Diner and I'm a former server. I preface this review with that because I get it. It's not fun to get people 20 minutes before we close but this place was acting like they were already closed. They "let" us sit at the counter so we wouldn't "dirty things up". Her words. Older woman with auburn dyed hair. I get it can be annoying but if you are still open, you serve the customer. I recall many nights waiting on people to leave when waiting tables. She even served all of our orders into to go containers to shoo us out the door. It was super rude! I plan on filing a complaint with corporate. The shakes were good though. I love this diner and I am sad that we don't have one in Miami. They have so many creative dishes and their vegetarian and vegan options are phenomenal. This time I had the grass fed braised short ribs and they were really good, very tender. They were on top of creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe that was cooked crisp tender. We had the avocado toast as a starter topped with smoked salmon and the combination was delish! I will always make it a point to come here when I am in town. read more

12/4/21 Last time we were here, we meet Chef Ype. Today we met our server Yudith A. Ms. Yudith did a wonderful job. I can see her becoming a manager soon. The dinner is back to its former glory. Guests are coming and guests are going. The turn around and cleaning of the tables looked good. Please don't forget to wipe the seats. My table had crumbs on the seats. Ladies bathroom was maintained as busy as it was...at least this what I was told by my wife. The men's bathroom was busy. I think a piss floor mat would be appreciated to avoid the misfires and golden bomb drops on the floor. I appreciate the service of Yudith and wonderful smile. She check in on use periodically to make sure everything was fine or if we needed something. Something we did not get at the last Denny's we visited. Like I mentioned earlier, Chef Ype wasn't here this time, but his cardboard cut out was. He may not be American football fan, but he was a Baltimore Ravens's fan when we met. Silver Diner is a favorite for us. Their menu is fresh and dynamic. Their food is always hot and delicious and made to order. I love their gluten free selections include breakfast sweets like French toast and pancakes! Service is always warm and competent. Clearly the manager has already left for the night because the servers were horrible. Not only did I get my soup after my main entry, we were asked to leave with just 5 minutes warning. There was a table who just got seated too and they were asked to leave. Why seat them at all in the first place? I'm a connoisseur of the diner format. This place is ten times better than Bob and Edith's. Their menu is focused on healthy eating and local ingredients. Chef Ypes does an excellent job curating the menu. My only advice would be to not overexpand and cause your quality to go down. One of my previous employers overexpanded and was not able to maintain quality; this company is now out of business. Silver Diner has been rapidly expanding lately, but so far has been able to maintain their quality. I got some lemonade ($5.49), Creekstone Farm meatballs and pappardelle (a type fo pasta, $18.99), and a chocolate shake ($8.99). The meal and service were excellent. No complaints. read more

This was our first time at this Silver Diner location but it definitely wont be our last! I loved the "Steak Frites" & you have to try the hand spun milkshake- I always get the "black&white!" I haven't been to Silver Diner in forever. It's changed, in so many good ways! I'm loving their menu. The hostess was friendly and our server was awesome. She was so sweet, attentive, and helpful. Had to start out with some cheese fries. Love that they let us order this during breakfast time. The cheese fries are perfect for sharing. We enjoyed our avocado and bruschetta toasts. It was well made and quality ingredients are used. Ended with their churro doughnuts, which were dangerously good. Slightly crisp and fluffy cinnamon sugar doughnuts with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Yum! We had a lovely meal and the conversation was even better. This is one of the nicer Silver Diners I've been to and I attribute that to the outdoor seating. They have turf in a sectioned off portion of the parking lot with gazebos and some decorative plants. Couple that with the great weather the experience was very relaxing. I ordered the oat milk protein pancakes which are made with blueberries and pistachios and they came with a side of coconut whipped cream and agave syrup. These are the best pancakes I've had in a LONG TIME. The whipped cream left something to be desired but the agave was so good. Add up the nice seating with great pancakes and an excellent server and I now have a place I'll be returning too. read more

Age old problem, where do you want to go for dinner tonight? Silver Diner? Nah that's a breakfast spot. Wait you know what it's not to far away and we can probably get seated right away. We walked in to find no wait but a busy dining room nonetheless. Wow. Someone's been modernizing this old diner. Don't worry the jukebox is still at each booth (and it works) but the menu and decor has all been freshened up and looks great. My wife, daughter and I all went for the build your own burger section of the menu. They both got beef while I went with a turkey patty. All our burgers were tasty and yummy. The differences were in the sides chosen. My wife's cooked veggies including Brussel sprouts (not my fav) were just ok in her words as was my couscous that lacked spices. The correct choice this evening was my daughter's fries. So much for trying to eat a little more healthy. Despite some of the sides, our meals were great as was the service. This diner is an underrated hidden gem right in plain sight! They have an outdoor patio seating and it was such a lovely day, we had to take advantage of brunch outside. I'm writing this to address the Corporate side of the business, namely customer service as it pertains to a recent DoorDash delivery. We ordered delivery (obviously) for a special occasion, it came fast and hot to the door. However some sides were missing and wrong. Went through the proper channels to let them know about the issues, not expecting much feedback. DoorDash is a separate business- sure you know that! But Wait!!! I received a very nice letter in the mail with 3 vouchers for free entree's! Who says customer service is dead?! Once again I love this place! read more

After ordering $40 worth of takeout, I was refused extra syrup unless I paid for it. Imagine how stupid I felt for having tipped for my takeout order after being asked to pay for said syrup. Like, do you charge patrons eating in the store for any syrup they use beyond the tiny 1.4oz allotment for takeout orders? Suffice it to say, it was my final time at this or any Silver Diner. I advise anyone ordering takeout to save the money you would have tipped for going in and picking up the order yourself (as I did), because you may need it for condiments. I hope the next level stinginess was worth the bad review (and possibly more bad reviews once my food review friends hear about this). I feel bad for Silver Diner employees that would have otherwise made a few extra bucks on tips from people coming in to pick-up takeout orders. read more

In my case I ordered a burger, yes I paid the up charge for Bison, with the roasted vegetables and it was served to me with French fries. Delicious food and the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen in a restaurant!!! We had a few issues, at first, but considered them to be minor ones. To our surprise and delight, the manager came by to check on us and address the issues that we had. He invited us back, and I'm positive we will take him up on it. Most fast food chain restaurants get a bad rep I feel like around here, mostly because there's so much competition around. BUT, I come here at least 4 times a month or more, for their breakfast. Something about having breakfast made for you is nice, especially if you know the cooks and servers. S/O to Vinny! He is the best, always has a smile underneath that mask, and knows my order by heart. Support your local silver diner fam! They have a stupendous filtration system, you can tell how important PPE and precautions they emphasize here. I really enjoyed my meal here! There's a large outdoor seating area which is nice in these times. Good service and the food was tasty! The American Favorite is one of the Blue Plate options (weekday breakfast special which comes with coffee or juice). I chose to get scrambled eggs and turkey bacon for mine. The eggs were super soft and fluffy. The turkey bacon pieces were nicely charred. No complaints about the biscuit or home fries. Overall really good! My wife and I had a late lunch at what used to be one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in Fairfax. So we stopped by and she ordered a cod meal with asparagus and quinoa and I had pancakes eggs and sausage. She raved on and on about it being the best cod... She said it was almost like Chilean Seabass. My pancakes were perfect not too thick, light and I asked for extra butter and got plenty. we're going back for our anniversary simply because of the delicious food. read more
