My first time eating at the modern Silver Diner in Fredericksburg. It was a great experience. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday evening and there were people waiting to be seated. My wife, son and I decided to sit at the bar area, so there was no wait. The chairs were comfy at the bar and there were two tv's with sports on. The diner actually has a full bar of beer, wine and liquor. I had a yummy shock top beer and a healthy California omelette. My son got the pancakes, eggs and bacon and my wife had shrimp tacos which came with a side of rice. We all loved our food and the service was great! We'll definitely be back. read more

The meat loaf and shepherd pie were exceptional. Both were created with completely fresh ingredients, literally 'farm to table'. My spouse and I were impressed. No extra charges for drink refills, especially my bottomless cups coffee. And Yes, this is the Silver Diner! Our Server Henry and Hostess Abbie were fabulous. We truly enjoyed Silver Diner FXBG. Server came with electronic payment machine and stood over me and watched as I reviewed the order and decided on tip. The machine only had three choices with 22% highlighted. I would give a zero if I could. Both our breakfast meals were wrong. I ordered scrambled eggs and received fried, my husband ordered a cheese and sausage omelette and received a cheese one. I visited this silver diner for the first time today and at first I was frustrated because they sat me near the noisy kitchen and bar. I was ok sitting at the bar area but not the kitchen. So they moved me. My server which I think was also the bartender because I saw her keep going behind the bar to make drinks and greet people sitting at the bar, was fantastic and was very patient with me. I wish I can remember her name. All I know it started with an M. I had ordered the power breakfast and it was delicious! My coffee was getting refilled without being asked and that was fantastic.
