I usually only shop for clothes once a year. You know being a man, I don't like to do such things. When I do go shopping that one time a year I usually hit up an outlet mall where the prices are cheaper and there is a wide variety of stores to choose from. On a recent trip to Destin we hit up the Silver Sands Factory Outlet mall. This place has lots of stores to choose from and being that I was with my girl, I had to visit them all. By the end of the day I was wiped out, and so was my wallet! read more

Shop here soon cause they won't be open much longer. Only letting like 3 people in at a time. Despite the mask mandate being lifted pretty much every store was still requiring masks despite only 3 people being let in. Super annoying. Most places were absolutely dead and it's no wonder. read more

A large, yet decent outlet mall area down near Destin, FL. They have lots of different vendors from shoe brands like New Balance and SPERRY to clothing( GAP, Ralph Lauren, Saks, etc) and even have a few restaurants. Some stores are hit or miss-you really have to get lucky and catch a good sale otherwise you may end up paying close to the retail price. There are some places where it is realistic to get 50% or more off some items though. You just have to be willing to walk around a lot and do some digging. I recommend going in the morning and getting out before lunchtime because it gets really crowded from lunchtime on, especially in peak season. I've been coming here for over twenty years. Its hit or miss. Most of the stores are not, "outlet stores". The prices are the same as any other storefront they have. I'll give three stars because they do have a good selection of stores all in the same place, which makes shopping convenient. You may find a bargain, you may not. read more

Nice selection of stores. Prices are average. You can sometimes catch a good sale at Coach. I usually always busy something at Nike. I like the G.H. BASS & Company, but their sizes are way off. Ex: I'm about a size 12 but I bought a size 6 jean skirt that fits. I like shopping at Michael Kors, Banana Republic, Carter's, Jockey, American Eagle & Under Armour. I wish the whole shopping area was covered so you wouldn't get wet when it's raining. Large sections are covered but to get to the next section you have to cross an uncovered walkway. There are several restaurants in the Outlet Mall parking lot and across the street. There are a few restaurants near stores in the outlets. There are clean restrooms located on the premises and Coke machines near the restrooms. Overall, it's always fun shopping here. Family and friends visiting always want to go. read more

Had an positive experience with the Asics store in this outlet. This store had knowledgable employees and frankly is the best shoe store I stepped into. Somehow after all the personal assistance we have had we have left with the wrong shoe size. After tossing the box and and the receipt we left my girlfriend had noticed the fit seemed a bit big. We didn't second guess our service so we hopped in the car and drove the 12 hours back to St. Louis Missouri. When we got back she checked her shoe tags and they said they were a whole size bigger than what we decided on. It was such a large purchase for shoes i had to make an attempt to see what could have been done. The assistant head coach Helen Mitchell was so kind, understanding and found a resolution for us to exchange our shoes in st. Louis for an even more appealing color. I have never had a retail employee reach out for such a extensive resolution and haven't been more pleased! I am loyal asics customer and my loyalty will not be swayed. The outlet was very nice and had tons of great choices but we really got the most out of this location, even after we left we were still pleased!!!! read more

I've been to Silver Sands a number of times from Black Friday to just a regular Monday while on vacation. Some of their stores have wonderful outlet prices whereas others just seem to be regularly-priced stores. Parking is easier during the slower season, but I think on Black Friday we didn't have too terrible of a time parking and getting into stores that we liked. It does feel a little more spread out than other outlets I've been to so I would suggest pulling up their site on your phone and checking out what stores you really would like to go to and then if you have the option to move your car so that you can access them more easily. A flaw we discovered today during scattered rain showers is that most the outlet guides were in spots where you'd get wet if trying to find your way from point A to point B. There were also spots were it wasn't easy to stay out of the rain and under the awning to get around businesses (like around Destin Gourmet). I will definitely continue to return to these outlets, I'll just remember to wear a rain jacket and bring an umbrella if it's raining. read more

We hit up the outlets every year when vacationing in Destin for July 4. As someone that hates shopping, I like being able to get a year's worth of apparel at once... and Silver Sands makes that possible! I love Silver Sands! Its a great mix of stores for all types of things you may desire with brands with a variety of price ranges. I love The Saks Outlet, Michael Kors, David & Harper, and many other. Truly a great outlet and a lot of parking. I have never had a problem with extreme crowds at this outlet. Besides all the stores, there is great eateries in the area. You truly can make a day of it in the area. I love outdoor shopping, so I can get some fresh air going in and out of stores. Some great deals and some great things for me to admire from afar. My favorite stop for shopping when on a beach vacation! This outlet offers something for everyone...literally everyone. My favorites to visit are Nike, Kate Spade, Coach, Saks and Polo. The grounds are always clean and the staff in each store friendly and inviting. There is a welcome center booth that offers maps, coupons and directions to other local attractions for those in need. While it broke my heart that the Sony Outlet store closed here at Silver Sands, there are still deals to be had. It's one of the larger outlet malls I've ever seen, in the...dozens of times I've gone shopping at outlet stores in my lifetime. There's lots of parking, plenty of restrooms and nearby restaurants. Great place to shop. Ralph Lauren, Coach and J. Crew are my favorites! Couldn't beat the 30% off back to school sale at Ralph Lauren and they even mailed me an additional 20% off coupon. Yes, please. Coach was 50% off the entire store. It is usually around 30%. Unfortunately, didn't find much I liked this time. Standard outlet mall with your basic nation wide chain stores. I don't really find the need to hit up these places even if I was across the street but it is a good way to spend the afternoon with you shopaholic family members. Make sure to grab the coupon book at information if you are going to rack up some major damage on your plastic. There are some good deals if your willing to drop some major coin (aka $75 and up) but make sure your purchases qualify for the coupons before you get up to the cash register. I found that out the hard way when I went to buy some Playstation trinkets at the Sony store and was told the $10 off coupon was no applicable to Playstation items, boo Sony. PS- Watch out for the heat since this is an outdoor location and water fountains might be a little much to get to if you have older people with you. read more

Wonderful outlets- the Coach store is a MUST! We have outlets all over Texas, but the Coach outlet in Destin has the best prices on Coach items that I've ever seen (besides eBay)! You will be shocked. I would have given this outlet mall 5 stars, but Juicy Couture is my favorite brand, and the store there was horrible for selection. The White Black outlet store was still pricey too (one of my other favorites) compared to other outlets I've seen. It's worth going to while in Destin, over 100 stores! read more

These outlets are nice, and they offer something for everyone, even the foodies (gelato and Le Creuset, anyone?). They are clean and appear to be well maintained. Parking can be a pain in the butt, so I recommend parking far away and avoiding all of the close-parking-space vultures. read more

It has a great selection of upscale stores and reasonable prices. At first glance I didn't even want to go. From the outside it looked like it was going to be like the gulfport or VF outlets...kind of 2nd or 3rd tier stores. But I was completely wrong. There is an Off the Fifth in the back and quite a few similar high end stores. There was even a Billy Reid (not that any of it would fit me). Not trying to name drop but my wife went into Michael Kores, White House/ Black Market, and BCBG Max Azria . We actually got there late and the place closed at 9:00 so she had to cut her shopping short...HAHA. For me, there was Le Creuset, Johnston and Murphy, and Calvin Klien. The usual of course...Eddie Bauer, Gap, Kenneth Cole, Nautica, Nike, Polo, but they also have Cole Haan, Tumi, and L'Occitane, so there is a great variety. Total there are over 100 stores so there is something for everyone. I highly recommend it, especially if you live in an area without outlets (like we do). I would love to come here when it is not busy, aka fourth of July, busiest week of the year. Another thing is that every time I come here, I think yeah shopping that's great. Then when I get here its horrible, crowded, hot, expensive. If you like to people watch and window shop then this is your place. Park in the back and walk around. I have noticed that for the most part, the prices are about the same as other stores. Deals can be found anywhere you just have to be in the right place at the right time. But alas, I do like the types of stores. We don't have no, fancy pants designer stores back home so that's nice. I think the liquor fueled vacation induced euphoria of the beach is what keeps this placed packed, otherwise its just clothes. read more

There are plenty of stores with many items at discounts. When I visited in January 2019 most stores were having January blowouts of 50 to 75% off selected items. The disappointment came with a couple of things. First, not a lot of easy access to restrooms over several acres of stores. Second, I found that some stores did not have the amazing discounts based upon the advertisements hang in their windows. So in some of the stores it was a disappointment because I feel there's room for lowering the price is even further. I did enjoy the selection of stores available. read more

And of course, the usual outlet suspects are here - Coach, Ann Taylor, Jones - but also check it - Juicy, Michael Kors, and North Face. Go online prior to your visit and register as a VIP for additional savings (yes, please!). I liked the playground, but my son loved it. My favorite part was the discount booklet they give at the info booth or customer service. This mall outlet is outside and has a great variety of stores from Nautica to New Balance and more! I wasn't too impressed by the prices, they overall seemed full price and "sales" signs were sporadic. We were able to find half off signs, but half off $80 tag still really isn't great AND not all items were sale. read more

Mall closes at 7pm and the doors were locked at 6:42pm and when we pulled on the locked door the employees inside glared at us like they were judging us. 15 minutes is a long time of shopping especially when you already close at 7pm. Disappointed. read more

They claim to be "The nation's largest designer outlet center." I'm not sure if that is actual fact or just advertising, but their claim could very well be true as this place is a pretty huge strip mall. You can see all the stores on the website so I won't list them out, but there are quite a lot. I'm not much of a shopper, but I think you can find some good deals here. However, they are mixed in with a lot of "deals" that aren't really that great at all. I think that is just the nature of outlet shopping though. 4 read more

This is our last spot before heading back to Atlanta. I can compare it to outlet stores in and around Atlanta, similar to North Premium Outlets. Not a lot of interesting stores to choose from...and almost similar pricing to regular stores. I only go here for the coach outlet store. Much bigger than Atlanta ones. The same goes for slash in half prices for purses, wallets, etc. Get ready for parking traffic, its always busy here. The downside is that is hotter here than shopping outdoors in Atlanta. But you do get an occasion ocean breeze here and there which is nice. Lots of nice restaurants in the area, not that I can say the same for their food court area. Its just "meh". Try this place out if your in the mood for shopping big. read more
