I have ordered the pizza from here before. It has been fine not great but fine. Tonight, the pizza was delivered with cheese missing from half the pizza. All the cheese was congealed in the middle. Either they did not leave in the oven enough or the delivery man dropped it on the way here. In either case it doesn't matter because I will never set foot in here or order from here again. One of the best diners in Queens. Silver Spoon opened in 1982, when I was 8 years old. The food has always been great since their opening. The prices are good, the menu has great selection. Their reuben sandwich is great!!!! French Toast is delicious. I love their food. It's great to know that they give back to the community like they originally started in 82. Too many restaurants/shops have changed their traditional values. Silver Spoon stayed the same all these years....So Grateful to have great, REAL food again in NY. read more

This place is horrible I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with French fries for lunch and let me tell you never and I mean never will I order anything ever again from this diner. They state in the menu tender grilled chicken I think not the chicken was cut into strips and it was dry and tasted like it's been sitting there for days the French fries are suppose to be golden and instead they were over cooked and brown. I have been ordering from this restaurant for years and lately the take out orders have not been up to par. Either they don't send me the correct order or something is missing from the order and when you call them to complain they are so nonchalant and just want to send the missing item instead of sending you a complete new order because your food will be cold once you receive the replacement item. read more

First and foremost the food there is subpar, although Nick (the owner) is a decent guy his helping hands are repulsive at best. So I ordered for the first time from here. My experience started off nice, but then turned horribly. I ordered the Italian dinner option which comes with salad. I didn't receive my salad, but did sure get my dressing. Also I ordered the large mozzarella sticks. I didn't realize a large meant 5, and I paid $6 for them. My delivery also took over an hour to arrive, but the guy who took my delivery told me 30 minutes. When i called the restaurant they said that they didnt know why their employee said 30 minutes, the guy i spoke to was super rude and yelled at me! My food was also cold and grossly soggy. Was in the mood for a cheeseburger with sauteed onions and mushrooms. I also wanted crispy fries with a coke on the side. My order was placed at 7:04pm. I called at 8:44 to inquire about delivery and express my discontent. I couldn't cancel my order because my son was waiting for his mac n cheese, cheeseburger. A very rude girl by the name of Alexis, who identified herself as the owners daughter, answered the phone and told me the order was out for delivery. I explained to her the order was placed over an hour and 1/2 before and if the food was cold, I would send it back and I would need to be reimbursed. She proceeded to tell me it was too late because they were already closing. This was her response to me. A few minutes later, the delivery guy calls and says he's in the lobby. My son gets it and when we open it, the food is very cold, and I didn't get the burger I paid for. My total was $44.02 for 2 burgers, a snapple and a diet coke (was supposed to be coke). I called Alexis back and if she was rude before, she was disgusting this time. I told her my order was cold and incorrect. She said "you didn't pay for the onions and mushroom," yet the guy who took my order reiterated my entire order back to me, so someone dropped the ball. After telling her once again I wanted my money back because my order was cold and incorrect, she said they were closed. I told her I would be complaining about this again and writing a review and her comment was, "do what you have to do!" I will NEVER again order from there or eat there. I work very hard for my money. I pay for good food and great customer service. And this wasn't good food nor good customer service. They took advantage of the current situation the city is dealing with. The people there messed up my order i originally wanted a greek salad but instead got a tossed salad when i brought my order back they gave me a greek tossed salad just took the topping off I guess they thought I would not notice. Ohhh this place is nasty.. I went there for my lunch and I am so dissapointed. I ordered a sandwich which costs $8 and I gave my credit card. They said they will charge 75 cents anything less than $10. Okay l agree with that. I saw more than half of the tables were empty and thought of eating my sandwich there and found a small table. Suddenly a lady with an attitude shouted at me saying, those tables are only for sitdown lunch or dinner.. Are you crazy???? That was an insult. The pasta they serve smells and taste old. Ordered chicken parm with pasta. Disappointed.

The breakfast is good enough but the other day I've tried one of their hamburgers with fries and " chicken soup" it was horrible and tasteless. The "chicken soup" tasted like it came from a can and the hambuger was super dry with hard fries. I felt like I was eating paper...never again :( read more

Not a review about food but what happened yes the food is good and some of the people there are really nice this has to do with I don't know how many owners this place has but the owner / manager there this easter sunday. I did not want to cook so I thought let me go here to get something to eat I have a lot to say but I will try to keep it short after my food was finally done the manager / owner I don't know his name got my order proceeded to bag my food in a paper bag but stopped since one of the waitress / server started talking to him finally after she stopped talking he finally started to finish bagging my order not with a new plastic bag but a bag that was already on the counter when I came in around 11:40 am I didn't mind too much but I kept my mouth shut but what made me mad was after he put my order in the plastic bag he coughs right on both bags to me this is disgusting and disrespectful I am always respectful when I come here after seeing this I still kept my mouth shut and just said thank you and all I got in return was an attitude when I got outside I took out my order of food from the bags he cough on and the foil tray the food was in was not properly covered and almost fell out on to the sidewalk cause I did not want to get sick so I put it in one of the bags I got from the grocery store the point of my review is people are disrespectful to other's by not covering their mouth's when they cough and sneeze and in return other's get sick I have multiply health issues when I get sick it takes a long time for me to get better I don't know if he did this on purpose if so that was wrong because people that work there know me and know I am always respectful this has taught me a lesson I am too damn nice and respectful but now I feel I should stop being the way I am and start being disrespectful read more

I walked in the door. Stood there while the guy making the pizza just looked at me. Eventually a man who was dressed like waitstaff came over. He too look at me standing there.,,and then turned the "Please wait to be seated" sign over to "Please seat yourself." This was a warning. I sat myself. Sat myself for several minutes. I knew they knew I was sitting there because he had to look at me to turn the sign. Eventually I order. The food is diner food. Nothing to gush over. My server came over and took my plate and I asked for the check. I then watched as he hung out at the counter. Did some side work and flirted for several minutes while his back was to me. Other customers were watching me wait. Eventually I got up to use the bathroom. I was by myself so I took all of my belongings with me. And well, what do you know... I come out and he is in the process of FINALLY printing out (it's not on the table when I get back out so I know he didn't bother to look back.) I guess he thought I had dined and dashed. Which I would never do, but sitting there for so long it actually crossed my mind.
