I really like Tyson, a lot. Tyson is the owner and he's a cool guy who does really quality work at this place. I took my car in for an oil change, not busy when I got there but for sure got busy while I was waiting and by the time I left the waiting room was pretty full (it's a small place indoors). I paid for their $29.99 oil change, which included them topping off some fluids under the hood and doing a general vehicle inspection kind of thing (if you're not interested in this, they have a standard oil change for $19.99). I'm really happy that I did the oil change featuring the inspection though because they found a nail in one of my tires. They don't do tires here so when I finished up, I drove over to discount tire and had it repaired for around $20 instead of the $100+ and frustration it would've brought me if I didn't know that I had a nail in my tire from the inspection. It's hard to find a good mechanic we almost gave up, but I'm happy to say we finally did with silver state complete auto repair. Tyson and his team gave us Great Service. Wow!!! What can I say besides THANK YOU to these gentlemen. Came in because of a loud noise with my breaks on my front driver side. I came in with no appointment in the morning around 930am. Tyson greeted me happily with a smile and an eager, helpful attitude and let me know they could check the noise and diagnose my car and give me a quote to fix. It ended up being my wheel bearing. Best customer service I've had while taking my car in for an oil change. My first shop experience since moving to Vegas, and it was the first place I tried because of Yelp reviews, and I probably don't need to go anywhere else moving forward. Tyson was cool and he broke down option-based pricing and didn't pressure me to get the more expensive option if it didn't work well for me at the time. This was the first time I got my new car serviced. They inspected my battery, brakes, filled the tires and rotated them all for about $35 with the oil change. Plus I was given a $5 discount I was the only customer on a Friday afternoon and they started taking care of me immediately. I also helped myself to the Keurig coffee machine while waiting. I rarely write reviews because rarely am I impressed with a company to put my name behind their work or service. Unfortunately I have had dealings with many dishonest mechanics, and that makes me very thankful I was referred to Tyson when I moved here and had car issues. Twice I've had other mechanics/oil service places tell me I needed extensive repair work done. When I took my car to Tyson he diagnosed the problems as being extremely minor (and free one time). I can guarantee that if Tyson tells you work is needed on your car, that the work is needed. I took my car here back in August of 2020 to get my brakes replaced. It cost me over $500 just to have my front set replaced and installed and that was with a "10% discount." I heard squeaking coming from my passenger side fronts about 2 weeks after they were replaced. I thought it may have just been dust and thought no biggie it will eventually go away. I was wrong. I'm retired and only drive my car about 25 miles per week but after about 6 months of constant squeaking I thought these guys would be able to correct the issue. Last March I brought my car in and Ty said the tech couldn't find anything wrong with the fronts pads or rotors and sent me on my way. I left and the next day the squeaking was still happening. I called again and was scheduled for an inspection the following Tuesday. Tyson had a tech inspect the pads and rotors and said my fronts were good and my rear discs were approaching the danger zone and should be replaced immediately. I had Pep Boys replace the rears since I had the Power Stop brand and Silver State doesn't carry or install that brand. My fronts were still squeaking and I called Silver State again and this time showed Tyson a video of my brakes still squeaking only to have them clean my front brakes and tell me there was nothing wrong with my brakes but if I experienced any issues to just bring it back in. I called them once again to complain about my squeaky brakes and Ty says, "You're talking about that LITTLE squeak?" Yeah it's little when it's not your car but it's not little to someone who paid you $500+. He said he called Tyson and they didn't want to do any further work on my vehicle for this issue because the warranty doesn't cover squeaky brakes. I told them to just install my Power Stop brakes that I have in my garage that I bought when I had the rears installed only to tell me that they don't install customer supplied parts which means I'd have to spend more money though them if I wanted premium brakes or any brakes installed on the front although my 1 year warranty wasn't yet expired. I told him no I'm not giving you all any more of my business since you're not a company that wants to satisfy your customer. I even told them I didn't want them to warranty anything if they'd just do the install and Tyson still said no. I'm not giving them any business EVER AGAIN! read more
