Just got home from Silverlake Ramen in Burbank. When I first arrived (waiting for friends) there was just one other person on the patio so I have to admit I was a little worried. Why no more customers. Well about 5 minutes later the place was filled. The food was AWESOME! I had the spicy vegetable ramen and my friends each had the regular vegetable and one had the pork ramen. We had a few appetizers and they were all great!!! Now for the service. Well there was ONE server on duty the entire time we were there (1:30 to 4:00 pm). This girl was powerful! She took care of every table - taking orders, bringing the food, answering question, then did the clean up as well. I certainly hope she is getting paid WELL for her work. Burbank's skies were pouring, and my stomach was grumbling for comfort food. Luckily, Silverlake Ramen in Downtown Burbank provided the perfect lunchtime escape! We ordered two bowls chashu pork ramen with marinated egg bamboo shoots. I had the regular ramen while my friend had one with added chili sauce. A little understaffed when my family and I went in. It was busy and filled up fast, but surprisingly enough the staff on hand managed everyone well. The ramen/appetizer combo is a good deal and is fun to share the appetizer. Since the inside seating area was a bit cold (strong A/C), we decided to sit on the patio which was warmer and more entertaining. They have a little stair to take you to the second level where it's for dining and there also a small elevator for people who are handicapped. We got seated pretty quick since they were not busy at all for a Monday night. My wife and I already knew what we wanted since we been to the other restrauant location before but our first time at this Burbank location. My sister never been to a Silverlake Ramen so we give her some recommendations. We started off with their spicy garlic edamame and then I got the Shoyu on Fire with chicken. My wife and my sister got the Blaze ramen with chicken as well. The edamame came out first and my sister along with my wife enjoyed it. It took our ramen a little while longer to come out because at other location, it would come out quick. I thought they made my ramen noodle dish well, the noodle was cooked perfectly and the soup was delicious. My sister loved her Blaze ramen too for her first time and my wife is never disappointed with her Blaze ramen dish. Good afternoon. Sending a message to file a complaint. I came in around 1:30 PM. 05/02/2026 to pick up an order that I placed on DoorDash. When I arrived, I let them know my name and they let me know they did not have the order in their system. I quickly realize that I did not place it for the correct location. Before I can say anything else, the female worker says to me "sorry about that" and immediately walks away. Did not offer any alternatives or suggestions. Not a big deal, but a bit unprofessional. The real complaint is towards the male worker. Since the female worker walked off to help other guests. The male worker was available in front of me and I asked him if I can just place an order here? With attitude, a long face, dragging his feet towards the cash register and doesn't say anything. Just looks at me and waits for me to speak. Once the order is placed I sit down and wait. While I'm waiting, I asked the male worker that I'll be dining in instead. This time he rolls his eyes, and turns around to talks to the female worker. She comes to me and says that they don't put out "to go orders to dine in" I responded with " I understand, I'll just dine in instead of to go" I can understand some frustration with me changing my mind but never to the point where I have to feel like I'm bothering them, all of this is part of working in customer service. The female worker wasn't so bad. She's seemed to try a bit but the male worker was extremely unprofessional from the get go. If I was a disturbing individual from the moment I came in, I can understand the lack of service but I came in politely and he is there with attitude, lacking complete professionalism. PURCHASE Veggie Ramen Bowl w/Side Ghost Pepper Kimchi ($17.25 + $3.25): Because I was in the throes of Lent season when I basically gave up everything as a body cleanse, I chose this vegetarian option versus my usual tonkotsu ramen with pork broth and slices of chashu pork and an egg. The portion size was okay, we both got pork with one piece in each bowl. The flavor was good but it wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked it to be. With 39 locations around the country, the popularity of Silverlake Ramen has exploded. I've longed for a good Ramen chain, but unfortunately, this is not it. I had the Shoyu on Fire Ramen. Spicy clear chicken stock with shōyu, green onions, corn, fried jalapeños, seaweed, micro cilantro, lime & seasoned egg. It sounds good and looks good on the menu, but it wasn't. The broth was bland and not at all on Fire; there was no heat at all. The Spicy Tuna Cut Roll was loose and sloppy. It was made with great haste or by someone with very little experience, or both. The Grilled, Juicy Pork Dumplings were very greasy and a bit flavorless. I was really looking forward to a nice Ramen spot in this area, but unfortunately, Silverlake did not deliver. On the plus side, the service was friendly and helpful, and they did not add any hidden fees to the bill. Popped in here yesterday as it was a blustery and windy day outside and the idea of some warm ramen dripping down my throat seemed appealing! The staff were absolutely EXCELLENT! They were able to squeeze my partner and I into a table that's usually used for people waiting for to go orders. Which was nice of them as it helped us avoid any sort of wait. Now let's get to the food, we each ordered a can of pop and they have an amazing combo deal of ramen and an appetizer for $19. We decided to split the gyoza appetizer and since I wanted the truffle ramen (not included for the combo deal) it was the perfect choice. Worker #1 ended up walking away to do something. Worker #2 came along and called the name after us and proceeded to seat the party after us. After Worker #2 seated the party, she went on to do something else. I had to get the attention of Worker #3 to tell her that we had been forgotten, then Worker #4 walked us to our table. The food came out quite slow. My friend got his food before i did and he could've comfortably finished his food before i even got mine. I had to ask to check on my order, which when i looked over to the window was sitting on the counter. The tables to the left and right of us seemed to have issues with the service as well. Which goes back to my point that it doesn't seem like the workers have roles.
