I've been here twice within a week due to the high recommendations of my fellow Yelpers. I am officially hooked and impressed!!! This restaurant is located in a small office plaza next to the Ruby's Diner. The plaza is a bit rundown but has ample parking in comparison to their old location in Irvine. The restaurant is a bit small, maybe there are 10-11 tables? On both occasions the owner, a very nice woman, was the only person working the front and serving. Service was a bit slow because of this, so impatient people may get upset, but she's SUPER nice and the this place is still new here. It's rare that I meet really friendly, caring business owners and she is up there. She will definitely take care of you, give great service and make you want to return. Okay on to the food: On both occasions I had the Chicken Wrap in Paratha Bread. I highly recommend this, it's like an Indian Burrito. AMAZING. The bread is made out of sheets of thin dough, perfectly fried crisp and the inside is filled to the brim with your choice of meat. I chose Chicken on both occasions and the meat tasted fresh, well seasoned and amazing. I also had the Chicken Samosas which again tasted fresh and full of flavor. They serve a sauce here, I think it's some type of cilantro spicy lime sauce but I advise you to pour this all over everything, it's so good! And for beverages, their Mango Lassi is the cherry on top! I must come back to try their lunch buffet so I can sample the different items on their menu! On one occasion the owner gave us a little information about her restaurant and their strive for quality authentic food. All of their sauces are made from scratch, nothing comes from cans or jars here. Their food and meats are all fresh, all natural and organic. They also strive to provide the best authentic Indian food you can find, nothing commercial or fast here. Definitely on my list of regular places to visit!!! Pros: Just moved to the area and this is the 1st desi restaurant we've tried so far. We ordered the beef nihari and bihari kebab parata roll, both were fresh and really good! Nice decor, but not kid friendly. Cons: It's expensive. Owner took our order n when we asked if they had a kids menu, she told us "kids will just have to grow up to enjoy our food." For most people, they eat out with a companion to enjoy the food and have a good conversation with them. When we came to this place, it was empty except for the owners. The place was hot and quiet. No music. AC was only switched on when we got there. We were thinking of getting our food to go because it was too quiet. Well it was, at first. Then the lady approached us to get our order without a menu. She said their menus aren't ready yet. Fine. We knew what we wanted to order anyway. Lamb silverspoon please! While we were waiting for our food, the lady hounded us with questions. How we heard of the place. How yelp works. What she can do to advertise. And so much more! She finally left us to go to the kitchen. My dining companion and I were speaking in our own dialect. Then the lady interrupted our conversation from across the room to ask us what language we were speaking. Omg. That was unbelievable! She could have just waited for a pause in our conversation instead. She went on asking for tips and what not! We didn't come here to talk to you, lady. I don't mind a little conversation, but please don't take up most of our time. The lamb silverspoon was just okay for me. Paratha too thick IMO. Too greasy. Wow, flavor and spice bomb. A nurse from the building next door recommended this place. My sister and i were craving Indian cuisine so, we ordered more than we needed. I ordered the $9.99chicken paratha wrap which is an Indian burrio and its fabulous. Its a buttery crispy indian tortilla stuffed with tandori chicken and pickled onions ad i comes with a cool tangy cilantro sauce. I ordered another to- go for my hubby's lunch. My sister and I shared the wrap as an appetizer. She order the $12.99 beef lunch combo and i got the $13.99 lamb lunch combo. Both came with tasty rice, delicious minced beef/lamb kabob, curry with beef/lamb and few pieces of meat on the rice and thick fresh naan. We really enjoyed everything. We were the first people in there but then more and more people showed up and there was a lot of to- go orders. So, don't feel uncomfortable..the owner is very nice and made us feel right at home. Plus, she informed us of the use of grass fed beef and lamb and all natural chicken and farm to table veggies. She is proudly serving real Indian/Pakistani home cooking. read more

Let me start off by saying that the food is pretty good! We ordered a lamb and a chicken boti wrap (aka burrito or paratha wrap) and it was flavorful. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. However, the service was extremely and painfully slow. I came a little before 7:30 pm and waited for at least 10 minutes before the little lady who was running around the busy restaurant even greeted me. After staring at the faces of pissed off patrons sitting at the tables without their food or orders even taken, I decided I should leave and try another day. When I turned around and touched the door to leave, that is when she gave me a menu. I ordered and asked when I should come back. She said to give me her number and she would call me when the food was done. Awesome! I understand that new restaurants can take time to get their service right, and I left, expecting a call in 15 to 20 minutes since the restaurant was busy. Fast forward to 45 minutes later, still no call. I try calling them and no answer. I walk into the restaurant, she sees me and tells me they are making my food. I wait another 15 minutes before my food came out and I could take it home. While I was waiting, I could hear the little lady, who was the only person serving and taking orders in the entire restaurant, telling people that she didn't want to grow any more and that this was enough business for her and that she was no longer answering phones and that take out would only be available if you come in to place the order. The food is good, the place is charming and the little lady is trying. The restaurant has so much potential but I don't know how they can keep running it this way. I turned up on a Friday night at 10:30PM because Yelp said it was open. At the door, the owner was extremely apologetic about not being able to help me out. She said it was early days and customers dried up after 9PM, so they decided to close early. She still volunteered to whip up some Biryani despite being closed. I refused at the time but her honesty and sincerity persuaded me to come back the next day. I went back the next morning and I was recognized immediately. The place itself is on a pretty nondescript strip mall on Newport Ave/Irvine Blvd. It is clear that it is still early days judging by the sign board and the interiors. So anyone who decides to wander in on a lazy afternoon will be a little underwhelmed. But please, DO NOT LEAVE. Take the menu and order ANYTHING. It WILL blow your socks off. There was a big family in the neighboring table who were so confident in the food that they ordered whatever she had available at the time. I think that was the stamp of approval I needed to get over the bland interiors and concentrate on the food. I wanted to try everything. But I went for the Paneer Parata roll(10$), the Aloo Tikka Parata roll($10) and the veggie biryani ($10). The sheer explosion of flavor from the parata roll was astounding. It was cooked to perfection. The parata was crunchy on the outside the the filling was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Also, do not be thrown off by the $10 price tag, it is a HUGE roll and well worth the money. Next up is the Biryani, simply the best I've had since I moved to California. The key feature of any Biryani is to be fragrant, flavorful and not ever be mushy. It ticked all the boxes and more. Also, the amount of Biryani given was enough for two meals. They're in the process of sprucing up the place, bringing in a lunch buffet, a grocery store and a sweet/savory stall. I'm sure I'll be contributing by way of sales to all of it :D. read more

Total hidden gem! Was out running errands in the area. Found this place on Yelp. Had great reviews and decided to give it a try. Got the lamb wrap with Paratha. Very flavorful and delicious! Yesterday was a first the paratha roll tandoori style chix was not as good as it has been in the past...what irks me more and more each time i go is that i can pretty clearly hear the workers in the back open and close the microwave multiple times to defrost food before cooking it. The roll used to be crispy and soft on the inside not limp and battery... the samosas are ok but pretty small and not what you typically think of when you think samosa... i think ill opt for another indian/pakistani restaurant next time and hopefully not a place that zaps its food for its customers read more

The food was absolutely delicious. I recommend the chicken charga and haleem. My group of 3 finished the plates feeling incredibly satisfied. Very savory! It takes a long time for my food to come - including appetizers. They're always out of certain items every time I come and it's at a reasonable 6pm dinner time too. One time it was all the dessert items. Another was a few entree items. A restaurant should stay consistent with what's on the menu. For these reasons, one star off. read more

I have eaten at Indian restaurants for a long time and this restaurant is horrible. I have never had chicken tikka masala like theirs. It didn't even taste like it or look like it. The buffet is not good. They charge extra($3) for each cup of chai. All the Indian restaurants I have gone to give free refills on chai but not here. On top of that the service is very slow. The people who work there are extremely nice but they need to have good food as well. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. First off, the owner is the nicest woman on the planet. She is so welcoming that if the food was bad I'd probably still come back. However, the food is AMAZING. I seriously cannot tell you how good it is, you just have to try it. The tandoori Wrap (burrito) is everything I wish I had in college. It's got warm paratha bread and your choice of filling. It's heaven on earth. Try it. Trust me. Stop whatever you're doing and go there and try one. And don't even get me started on the Naan. It was so fresh that I swear I was in the kitchen pulling it out of the oven myself. Oh and if you check in you get samosas which I would have gladly paid for because they were delightful as can be. The meat and veggies inside were cooked perfectly and you can tell they care about the food. Ordered from this place via Postmates. We ordered two orders of Chicken Tiki Masala from them expecting some rice or bread with it. We got nothing so I guess this $16 each entree is supposed to be eaten by it self. It's a very saucy dish we order a lot from Indian places. It's ridiculous and basically uneatable without bread or rice. This is a very standard accompaniment in ANY Indian restaurant. I guarantee if we actually ate there, they would provide. We came on the early evening/late afternoon on Sunday and were the only ones there initially. The restaurant is a bit awkwardly located in a small strip mall of business offices behind Rubys and next door to (or behind?) the larger shopping plaza where they'll be opening a Smart and Final soon. The inside of the place feels a bit weird - I think it was formerly a sushi joint because I can see the refrigerated display bar/counter. Also, the entrance to the kitchen is pretty visible and when the doors are wide-open you can see inside... not necessarily a bad thing, but kind of strange. The woman who greeted us was very kind and sociable. She offered us a free order of samosas, which were very tasty, after taking our orders. We decided to go with the wraps - I tried the lamb wrap in paratha and my wife tried the chicken tandoori wrap also in paratha. The prices are a bit steep @ $9.99 (it's $7.99 for the naan wraps) but we were pretty satisfied and they were super tasty. Loved the green sauce that came with them as well. I enjoyed the flavor of the lamb wrap but wasn't expecting ground lamb... it was a bit on the dry side but the sauce helped with that. I really enjoyed the chicken tandoori wrap though. I think I'd probably order to-go next time and just get the wrap... so good. A few more people trickled in, one woman appeared to have ordered a bunch of stuff for takeout. I think I'd want to come back to try the buffet perhaps but definitely try the wraps! I recommend the chicken tandoori wrap. As far as complaints on service, I can see how it would be kind of crazy if there was only one person tending to more than 3-4 tables. It was OK for us...maybe because we were the only ones there. We shared lamb biryani, tikka masala, veggie curry, and lamb curry. All was soo good and she gave us FREE Samosas. I was very skeptical about them because most of the ones I ate tasted bland (may be from frozen, factory made) but these Samosas are soo fresh and good. My hubby ate 3 out of 5. Best authentic Indian cuisine that I've ever had. Not sweet, not too much cream and every thing is made fresh to order with the freshest ingredients. I can't wait to come back for the Weekend Brunch. The owner is so friendly and nice. She attended to our every need. They also Cater and will do whole roast lamb on top of rice and veggies. One of the nicest experiences I've ever had for a take out order. The restaurant is a kind of hidden in a plaza so just be aware when looking for the place. I was drawn to this place for the wraps they have with the paratha. It's extremely unique and met all of my expectations and hype that I've been hearing about. I tried it with the lamb which I highly recommend. I added onions and lettuce for some freshness when I got home which made it extra delicious. We also ordered the Biryani with chicken dish that was absolutely mouthwatering and full of flavor. We were driving up from San Diego to Los Angeles for our flight out back to NY and saw this place was still open at 10:30pm and were reallllly hungry. Ordered a chicken roll and Bihari kabob roll to go right when owner was leaving but she was so so kind to take my order. It was ready in ten minutes (the time we got there) and she still gave us the free samosas! Samosas - delicious! Eat them with the green chutney they give you Chicken roll - pretty good, next time I'll ask for more spice but that's just personal taste Bihari kabob roll - TO DIE FOR.
