Ordered take out from Simi Thai and it was all good, not the best I've had but I'd order most of the items again if in the mood for Thai food. My first impression while ordering it was that it was all about 1.00 or 2.00 more than the norm for Thai food. Plus I always get shrimp so that add to it making each order around $13.00 the soup was around 15.00/16.00 that was a bit too much for take out soup so I skipped it. I ordered the chicken Panang Curry and it was really tasty that had great flavor but I wish the consistency had been a little thicker. It was too watery like soup. The Pad Thai and the spicy noodles were good My issue with this place was the rice. Both the steamed rice and fried rice were crispy. It was very odd, it looked fluffy like it was cooked all the way through but it was crispy definitely underdone. We didn't eat either it just wasn't good. And the fact that both rices were like this tells me this is how they always make their rice because the fried rice has to be made with day old rice and the fresh steamed rice was also crispy. I had ordered lunch from Simi Valley Thai a few times in the last month. The food is cooked fresh, and the flavoring is neither too sweet nor too salty. This establishment has affordable lunch specials that come with rice, salad, and soup. The soup I have had is Tom Kha Gai with chicken, which has an excellent balance of citrus and coconut. The Pad See Ew which chicken is not too oily, and has a nice gravy sautéed throughout. The Pad See Ew is decently sized, with a lot of egg, broccoli, and chicken. I gave 4 stars because they brought the white rice first(which was for our main course) and then a few mins later our appetizer. Didnt make sense because I am not going to eat the rice with my apps. Simi Thai Cuisine is for sure the best Thai food you can get in Simi Valley, as far as I know. Whenever I'm in the mood for Thai food, this place has a pretty decent Tom Kha, Panang Curry, and Pad See-ew. I haven't tried their other dishes, but I'm sure they're all just as good, depending on your preference. The workers there also are very nice to me every time I come in! This is a VERY small location and can be very hard to find, as it's in the very back of the plaza. Also, don't get this place mistaken for a different Thai restaurant, as their is another one that's within the plaza at the front. Best Thai food in Simi by far. We've tried them all several times. Portions are very large (enough for two people). Not a lot of room inside to sit and eat but we always just do take out. Give them plenty of time to get it ready as they are always packed and very busy (30min at least). Our go to's are the pad see ew and if you don't mind a little spice the yellow curry. There food is never bland and so so flavorful. The owners are very nice and always thank us for coming in and hope to see us again soon no matter how busy they are. read more

This is now my new favorite Thai place to go to in Simi. The prices are a tad bit more expensive than where I usually go but the flavor is so much more intense! They do NOT skimp on seasonings, including the spice. I ordered a pumpkin curry and although it was amazing, it was super spicy!
