Called around 3pm today Saturday to try them out for the 1st time. Lots of mixed reviews so I didn't have the highest confidence going in. They offer FREE delivery if your order is at least $15 but I still chose to Carry Out so I can check out the place. The gal who took my order spoke English rather well but I still needed to repeat myself several times for each dish. If you're not a patient person, you better stick to the number system (see the menu). I was patient with her and I'm surprised she didn't call me "honey" as others have indicated. Maybe I wasn't so sweet to her. But trust me, I was nice. She said to come over in 10 min and boom I showed up. The place is located in the very back right corner of a shopping center. Drove in a couple circles but finally found it. The place is small and probably fits around 6 tables. Only one table had a couple waiting to be served. It was very clear most of their biz is done over the phone. They offer 3 spicy levels so we went with medium. It was just right! Cooked just the way we love our Thai food. The won ton soup was delicious too. Perfect for a cold day! I really enjoyed the Spicy Fried Rice with shrimp. I counted about 8 large shrimp in there. Very tasty. The Thai ice tea was very good too. My FAVORITE Thai food spot in the Simi area! Yummy food at a great price and you get so much in the containers anytime i order food from this joint it lasts me the next day also! The only issue is that its hard to see this location from the street, in other words you cannot see this restaurant from the street you have to pull up inside the parking of McDonalds and then still have to go behind that. WARNING. Only come here if you're okay with never going to another Thai place. I eat and cook A LOT of Thai food and this place tops them all. The flavors in the dishes are well crafted and compliment each other. The first few bites make your eyes roll to the back of your head. Great meat quality and generous portions. We got the pad see ew with pork. The best pad see ew I've ever had. The flavors were perfection. We also got pad Thai with chicken add broccoli. Didn't notice any peanuts, but the noodles, broccoli, and chicken were cooked perfectly . Nice hints of citrus and a sweetness to round it out. We also got pineapple shrimp curry. It was delicious! We do wish it had more veggies in it but overall good amount of shrimp and pineapple. They definitely didn't skimp on the shrimp or the pineapple. It got even better when we mixed the curry up since the seasoning seemed to sink to the bottom. Last thing we got was the roasted duck salad. Also very flavorful, incredible dressing, and nice fresh crisp veggies. Oh an we also got a Thai iced tea. Very sweet, but we recommend a splash of water and it's perfect! Very friendly staff. This is by far the best Thai restaurant in Simi Valley even thought its in an abandoned plaza in the middle of nowhere. The price is higher compare to other locations but you get so much food! I got to try couple of dishes and most of them the flavor was on point. But I would not recommend the spicy noodles, that lack flavor. Had dinner with some friends here on Saturday night. The restaurant is cozy with a smaller than average size if dining area. When we initially arrived around 6pm it was still relatively empty. By the time we were 3 dishes in, I noticed the all the tables had filled. We ordered the Tom yum soup, beef salad, crab cream cheese wontons, beef pad see ew and crab fried rice. Everything was delicious and portions were perfect. With a group of 4 we just had a little bit of leftovers. My favorite was the cream cheese wontons that were crispy in the outside with cram melted cream cheese on the inside. Especially with the plum dipping sauce--it can't be beat! Everyone also enjoyed the pad see ew noodles. The flavor was superb and the sauce had the perfect consistency. Also the the tom yum soup deserves a shoutout because they were very generous with the amount of whole shrimp in their soup! Long story short apparently I am no longer her "HONEY" I ordered string beans with chicken and oyster sauce sauté vegetables togo. When I got home and opened up the sauté vegetables my face just went blank with a giant WTF. My oyster sauce sauté vegetables were 90% half ass cooked onions with 2 broccoli soup and maybe 3 baby corns. I called the place back and told them about my raw onion dish. The waitress handed the phone to the lady who says "honey" after each sentence. I simply just wanted them to re do my order. The lady just straight up ignored me and said oh you don't like onions sarcastically? She just rudely said come back and show me and hung up the phone. This is a hidden gem in Simi Valley. I've eaten here several times, and the food was always very good. The best Crab Meat Fried Rice in town! You also should try the Tempura Squid... So I tried this place last night, and got to meet the "nice lady" everyone was mentioning in the reviews below... Indeed, she's very nice and definitely appreciates your business. I called ahead to order for take out. The restaurant is located on Tapo behind the mcdonalds, tucked way in the back of the plaza, there is another thai food place, and a ton of foot massage parlors. When I walked through the door not even 2 steps in the nice lady greeted me with my name lol either good at guessing or just a slow day, still it was very inviting. She mentioned they also do free delivery if the order is $15 or more. The food was great. I ordered the chicken pad thai for my girlfriend and teriyaki beef and veggies for me. In total I paid about $19. Large portions. Not a long wait. Definitley will come back :) read more

I have really grown to love this little Thai restaurant! There are not very many Thai restaurants in Simi Valley so when I found this one I was ecstatic to try lots of things on the menu. I've had just about everything on the menu and you cannot go wrong with their food! They are always so wonderful and inviting and Amy takes the time to make everything from scratch. My review is solely based on service since we ended up walking out. My family and I wanted to try a new Thai place and chose this one based off the stellar reviews. We sat down, menus were given to us and then we were ignored completely. We weren't asked if we'd like drinks and the lady running the show took two walk-in to go orders for people that walked in several minutes after us. She then tended to another table, bringing their check. They gave their card right away so she went and performed the credit card transaction. Every time she walked back and forth she passed our table and not one time did she acknowledge us to let us know she'd be with us soon. We were sitting by the register so it's not like she didn't see us when the two separate walk-ins arrived. There were a total of three tables occupied (mine included) so it's not like it was during the dinner rush. We left and went to Thai House in the same parking lot and that was fantastic! My "new" favorite Thai restaurant is over 10 miles from my home. In that space there are 4 very good Thai restaurants, but Simi Thai is the BOMB DIGGITY! The food is so amazing! Cooked to perfection and incorporating more vegetables and tender meat than I've ever seen in Thai dishes. Usually I take several pics of the food I am reviewing, but I have been here several times since discovering it last fall and every time I completely forget to take photos! lol The staff is friendly and efficient. Last time I ordered pickup for 2, it took about 20 minutes. That's a bit longer then most, but this is REAL FRESH FOOD, so I don't mind waiting for a chef taking time to cook such a great meal. Another nice touch is that they include their made from scratch soup in their "to go" lunches, unlike most of the Thai restaurants where I've grabbed take away lunch. I tasted the most in Red Curry medium hot, it was salt salty, not pepper hot. I wanted the Pepper hot, not Salt salty. I would go back every 2 weeks. I have been here once a month.
