Had a disappointed experience after years of enjoyment. Ordered food for pick up was told 45 minutes. Call was done at 7:15 went to pick up at 8:10 waited another 20 minutes only to be told food was not ready. Was told if I can wait 5 mores minutes for egg rolls. I just decided to cancel the order for them. Was given the receipt and noticed they canceled my complete order. Was shocked that this was done after waiting. Was commented that chef stoped cooking my order after being told it was only waiting for egg rolls. Being understanding during pademic times has been a norm. But the kicker for me as another customer placed an order and they said 20 minutes. Well at least for now I will take a break from local Thai food. read more

This is areal find! The owners are wonderful and the food is too! So far I love the spicy drunken noodles and the panuang chicken. The pad Thai is really good too. You can have most of their dishes mild- hot. read more

My favorite Thai food in Simi, hands down! Great, friendly service, yummy food and fair prices!

I ordered delivery and all of my food arrived hot which was a huge plus! The delivery time on a Thursday night at 7:00 pm was approximately 1 hour. I was craving Tom Kha Gai (coconut chicken soup) and placed an order for delivery. I ordered the soup, Chicken Panang, vegetable fried rice and chicken Pad Thai. The Tom Kha Gai was excellent and satisfied my craving. The only complaint I had was how much ginger and lemongrass bits were in my soup which obviously aren't edible. I had to pick a ton out of each spoonful I had. The flavor was great though and I would order it again. The weakest item I ordered was the chicken Pad Thai which was mild in flavor. I added my own lime to it to kick it up and that made it taste better, however I'd rather have not needed to do that. The noodles arrived slightly mushy and the flavors just weren't the best I've ever had in a Pad Thai dish. The Chicken Panang was decent. The vegetable fried rice was fine too. I think next time I would try the pineapple fried rice because paying $8.95 for vegetable fried rice seems steep for what you get. Overall, I would order from here again. This isn't the best Thai food I have ever had, but it also isn't the worst Thai food I have ever had. Given that they are local and they also deliver I will order from here again. read more

My wife and I have eaten here a few times. Twice in and twice delivery. We prefer the food here over the other Thai restaurants. However last night we didn't have a good experience. I just had knee surgery and can't go out, so my wife thought Simi Thai would be perfect. I called and ordered at 6:15. The lady that took our order thank me and said it would be delivered in 40 minutes. At 7:15 pm the order had not arrived yet, which I knew it was Friday so it might be late as it was dinner time. I called and the lady said the driver left 20 minutes ago. Well the order finally arrived at 7:35, ( an hour and twenty minutes). Driver didn't apologize for the order being late just left. We opened the order and all the food was cold. We were very disappointed as we really like our Tom Kha soup hot, as well as the rest of our order. It's unfortunate that they didn't get the order out sooner and shouldn't have their driver taking out multiple orders as the last delivery ended up cold. read more

Okay for starters I have tried many Thai restaurants. This has to be my favorite and including the fact that the lady was beyond pleasant, puts it over the top. My last favorite spot while the food was good the owner was always so mean and irritated that you ordered from her. I only did because she actually had good food. Now I found the best of both worlds. Actually ordered it for my birthday and loved it. The pad Thai dish is enough for 2 hungry adults AT LEAST. Thanks I had leftovers for 3 days and enjoyed it each day. Will be back soon. read more

Friendly service and flavorful cuisine. I had a grilled Shrimp salad and the shrimp were succulent and seasoned perfectly. The dressing was well balanced in its spicyness & tangy the way a Tai dressing should be. I also orderd a side of Fresh Spring Rolls w/tofu served with a sweet and nutty peanut sauce....and it lived up to its name...Fresh & yummy! We have order many times from Simi Thai. Our experience tonight was not great. We ordered spicy noodles and Pad Sewee and there was barely any meat or vegetables in either entree. The yellow curry was the best entree we ordered but ask to have broccoli added, but it only came with 2 pieces of broccoli. (Oh, an they charged me for the broccoli). Egg rolls had no flavor and they forgot to include spicy Thai peppers and chili flakes! We will not be going back anytime soon! read more

Only Thai place I will eat at in Simi Valley. The chicken yellow curry is excellent, probably the best I've ever had. If you like a little spice, ask for mild, but be warned their chilies are spicy! We live on the west end of Simi and make the venture to this place despite having 2 Thai food places within a mile of us. The customer service here is the best I've ever seen. I was a little skeptical about this place, because lets be real, Simi Valley does not have culture and there's hardly any good restaurants. I decided to give this place a try one day, since there were great reviews. I got the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai and they were pretty legit. This place is a family owned business. The daughter is the chef and she went to culinary school and have cooked for about 10 years and the recipes are all from the family. I usually take the food to go or get it delivered, if I'm feeling lazy. The egg rolls is not the best I've had, but they're complimentary when you order a certain amount of food. The mother who runs the restaurant is super sweet and calls everyone, "honey," which is really endearing. I've had some pretty good Thai food and this place isn't mind blowing, but it's Simi Valley good, so you can interpret that however you want. There's plenty of parking, since it's located in a plaza. read more

I accidentally stumbled into this store because I thought it was a different Thai food place on the same street. Simi Valley seems to be saturated with Thai food places. I was pretty turned off by the service of this restaurant when I asked for sauces. How can a small sauce container of sweet & sour sauce cost $1.50?! It's a sad day. The owner, Bee, sold the restaurant about two weeks ago. I've been eating at Simi Thai on a regular basis (2+ times/month) for about 5 years. Loved the food cooked by a woman that Bee referred to as Grandma, loved being called Honey all the time. It was endearing. All that has changed; the entire staff is new. Bee stayed on for a week to train the new owners and staff on the menu. I feared that the food would never be the same, but I was willing to give them a chance. Unfortunately, my fears have been confirmed. The food I've had so far has been bland, at least compared to what I was used to. Crab cheese wontons that used to be stuffed full with big chunks of crab are now meager and made with shredded crab. Kung Pao chicken in the rich-but-not-oily Thai style is now flavorless. Pad Thai was also incredibly bland, missing the sweetness of the tamarind. Another issue is that the new woman out front (not sure if she is the owner) is using the "Honey" line. It comes off as insincere and cold, almost as if she is only saying it because she is trying to maintain an element of the old owner. Not sure if it's a Thai cultural thing to call people Honey, but I've never experienced it at any other Thai restaurant. It's bizarre to try to affect something that was so specific to another's personality, and somewhat off-putting. Even misleading for those that have never been to the restaurant and are expecting to hear it based on the Yelp reviews. tl;dr - No longer the same restaurant as reviewed up until this point. New owner/ staff as of two weeks ago. Food not the same. read more
