I was in an auto accident and totaled my car and HAD to get a replacement. I had no idea what SUV's were out, which was the best, but finally went dealership shopping. The first dealership I came to was Simi Valley Chevrolet. The sales person, Carolyn, found my husband and I as we were just starting to wander the lot. Told her I owned a Saturn Vue since 2004 and had no idea what I was looking for. She mentioned the dealership had just gotten in 2 Captiva's which were similar to the Vue. This I knew, but didn't know who had any for sale. They were made for fleet sales but have the body and insides of the Vue! So it was just perfect for me! Carolyn was great. Took her time with us, we felt no pressure. Not too much of the "how much can you afford", and going back and forth to finally get to a number I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised. Had to wait a bit to meet with the Finance Manager Daniel Quillen, but we had a large TV in the waiting area. Then the dreaded time to meet with the Finance guy arrived, and again, pleasantly surprised. Still had the sales pitch for the extra warranty, etc., but did not feel pressured. Nice chat as he printed the forms and had me sign them. Daniel was patient, didn't mention that it was an hour past closing by the time we were through! I am very pleased. read more

Ok first off I'm going to say the service department here is an 11 out of 10. Prob the best I've ever been to. I'm always weary of dealership service centers since my experience with a well known F dealership (can't say which one but it was the worst and dangerous and-- just trust me on that) .. anyway, these guys at Simi Chevy rock. They're quick and thorough and Jonathan and the team got me and my son out of there HOURS EARLIER than expected WITH a washed car and I had dried sticky flowers from my tree all over it when I got there!!!!!! I'm so happy yet again! The -1 star is for the actual dealership part. I got the bait and switch on my contract. It was only supposed to be 60 months- I still don't know how they changed it on me. Also, they ran my credit like 20 times and used my lowest credit score for the financing so GM got higher interest. So I basically overpaid but I signed, so it's ultimately on me. STILL, I'm happy with my car and the service actually makes up for it. Great service on your car is like gold and I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

I am sad to say this when I love the cars, but to have them ruin a Christmas surprise really just broke my heart. After sitting to purchase a car for over 3 hours with the team and everyone knowing it was a special gift, they called on Christmas Eve to ask my mother how the car was. I had arranged it all over the paper work not to call. Arranged to pick up a big red bow for the morning surprise. Everything. I got to do NONE of that Christmas magic. And when I go in and ask for a manager, on this awful Christmas Eve when I should have been getting my big red bow, I was treated like no big deal. Like my heartbreak meant nothing. Recently came in for warranty service after finding a puddle under car, no problem bringing it in first thing in the morning and Jon Savage was right on the money for what it was. Jon also helped us get the family car ready for spring break after carefully reviewing our service history. Three months earlier Don Bevington helped us with a stuck thermostat which put the car in limp-home mode and we weren't even scheduled for this last minute issue. Fan wouldn't stop running so he calmly and cooly pulled the fuse to keep the battery from dying and got us fixed up in no time. See you guys in another couple months for regular maintenance. Today I had the very unfortunate experience of meeting Chuck via telephone. I called yesterday morning (what I thought was Glendora Chevrolet) to inquire about a High Country Traverse listed on the Glendora/Simi Valley Chevrolet website. Chuck answered, told me me was in internet sales, and he could check your inventory to see if that particular vehicle was in stock. He called me back a short time later and gave me great news: your dealership had it in stock! I was thrilled as I have been searching for this very vehicle for weeks. I asked Chuck, "Are you SURE? I've been let down before. Are you 100% certain you have it?" He said he was sure. Chuck then proceeded to tell me that in order to secure the High Country Traverse for me, we would need to get an application going, so that's what I did. Since the original plan was to go on the lease with my father, my father submitted a pre-approval credit application form on your website. He was approved from there.  That's when Chelsea Isidro called him and asked "where would you like to see your monthly payments?" My father is a businessman. This is not his first time (or even first of dozen times) purchasing or leasing a vehicle. He cannot stand that sales tactic. So he told her "$200." Chelsea then told him, "Maybe you're shopping for the wrong car then." My father told her, "If you're gonna ask me a question like that, I'm gonna tell you $200. Don't ask that question, just tell me what the monthly payments are." She then tells him this is Simi Valley Chevrolet's process and he repeated himself asking what the monthly payments are.  After that exchange, my father wanted to work with Chuck alone. So we called Chuck and asked him if he could be our only help from here on out. He agreed.  About thirty minutes after that I received a text from Chelsea telling me our monthly payments would be $720.  I call my father and tell him and we decide I should submit a credit application as well since his score came in lower than expected. So, after talking to Chuck and telling him my credit score, he agreed. So I submitted my credit application online as well.  A while later I received another text from Chelsea telling me my score came in and looks great and she would run my monthly payments again. Then a while after that she texted me again saying they would be $678.  A couple hours later after not hearing from Chuck, I call him and he asks when I can come in to sign the paperwork. I told him because it was a 2 hour drive for me (without traffic) since I'm coming from Chino Hills, I would talk to my husband and likely go that night or the following morning. My main concern was the vehicle would be secured. He assured me that was not an issue. I then asked if he could send me the vehicle worksheet. He said "it'll be a while, no prob." Two hours passed,  so I texted him. He said he just returned from lunch and he'd send it. Another 1.5 hours passed before I got a text saying his computer won't print so he took pictures from the website. He then texted me a series of pictures of the vehicle specs, something I already went through at 8 am that day before I called. Not the worksheet. As frustrating as that was, I replied with "thank you, my husband and I will be there tomorrow morning, does that work?" That's when he called me, finished a conversation with someone else in person with me on the phone, then put me on speaker, walked away from the phone (his voice was distant and hard to understand) and told me that High Country Traverse I called about earlier that morning (it's 7pm at this point--10 hours later!) doesn't exist. He can't believe it and he's upset because he wasted HIS time on it all day. He feels bad for me but he's upset about HIS time wasted. He actually said this. He said "it's kinda good you didn't come in today." KINDA? I'm over 2 hours away and I have a 2 year old. Kinda? He then goes on to try to keep my business by saying "let's find your next step since we already ran your credit and you wouldn't want your score to go down by going somewhere else."  The damn nerve of this man really told me that. He had zero empathy for what he had put me through all day and zero cares about running my father and my credit for a vehicle that he claims simply never existed!  I am so upset, I can't even sleep. What kind of employees does Simi Valley Chevrolet employ that lack any sort of customer care or ability to check to see if a vehicle is available before he starts to sell it?! This is completely unacceptable and beyond rude and by far the worst experience my father and I have ever had with any dealership. read more

Went in to check out the Corvettes because we are going to buy one. My DH needed to sit in one so he could see if he would fit as he has had a back fusion. This dealership would NOT let him sit in the car. Said someone had an accident and ripped one of the seats once and he had to replace it. So Chevy..........this was YOUR fault for not checking the guys pant pockets out before he got in. They expect you to fork out $80,000 plus to buy a vet and yet wont let you sit in it. What kind of jerk runs a business like this! What if you dont like the car inside or you cant get into it! I was so livid at the stupidity and BAD service towards a good buying customer, I wanted to punch the guy for being an a$$. Well, It just so happens that my DH does fit and will be buying it from Rydell who had NO problem letting him sit in the car. They went out of their way with friendly service. It pays to be nice. You might want to think about that Simi Valley Chevrolet, because you need a lot of work in that area. No sane person buys a car without sitting in it first. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Simi Valley Chevrolet. First, the sales rep, Collin, was awesome! Besides patience and a sense of humor, he was knowledgeable and real. No hard sell. He also went above and beyond to make the car perfect not just for driving off the lot, but to make sure I understood all the bells and whistles it came with, even troubleshooting (for 45 mins) a glitch between my phone and OnStar. Nice lounge area with TV and plenty of seating. There are also tables and chairs as well. There was a kid table that was helpful for me since I had my kids with me. Free wi-fi. Complimentary coffee (fresh coffee that is ground there) and water. Complimentary car wash upon request, if your car is being serviced. My mother and I were looking to get a 2019 Suburban and trade in her 2013. We were greeted by Niko (Did not get his last name). Niko was very knowledgeable about the Suburban and very patient with us. As we started to talk numbers were greeted by a Sales Manager. I do not recall the Sales Mangers name. The sales manager was very quick and seemed like he was in a rush and wanted to leave. My mother had very simple questions which he tried to answer but as his own fast past tempo. I myself work in the car business and one of the first things that they teach us is to be on tempo with the client and not rush anything. But the Sales Manger did the opposite. My mother was really disgusted and the Sales Manager almost costed Niko a deal. We decided to call it a day and started to head toward the door with no deal done. On our way out the General Manager introduced himself as Jeff Kennedy. Jeff asked my mother what the problem was and how he can resolve the issue. My mother and I brought up the issues and Jeff fixed them in a timely manner and he very professional. Jeff was very caring and made us feel like we were not wasting his time unlike the Sales Manager. My mother got the deal she wanted and we all came to an agreement. We talked about a deal that I had found online, we went thru numbers and we AGREED about the deal. I mentioned that i'm coming from a far distance too. When he finished checking both, he suddenly "remembered" that the best that he can do is $150 MORE than what we agreed on in the first place!!! Let me tell you and save your time now, this place is a JOKE. Drove over 2 hours to get a truck that was listed for 43k on their website (2022 Colorado Z71). When I got there, the sales member Marcus was great, helpful, and honest. Then their employee of the year Tony came in to close a deal with us and he was a complete con artist. Truck price went up almost 9k. Tried to sell me gap coverage when I was putting plenty of cash down and didn't even need it. Then he tells me I have to pay for their tracking device service that was 2k. Then he tells me I have to make at least 9 payments with GM financial before I refinance (I later learned because they get more vehicle stock when people pay a certain amount of their loan). I told him I have bought multiple vehicles and have never heard of anything like that and he continued to lie and told me if I didn't, I'd loose the dealer credit he was offering LOL. When I turned around and walked towards the door, he came up to me and felt the need to tell me that as soon as I walk out, he's going to up the price of the truck 3k and sell it tomorrow. Dude continued to follow me out to my truck as I was reversing. So sad. But wait, it gets better. I go across the street to GMC a buy a better truck (2022 Canyon AT4). Now I get a text today, (3 weeks later) and they still haven't sold the truck that he was going to "sell tomorrow" LOL. This place is an absolute joke. Tony the phony "closer" is a joke.
