We leased a 2017 Chevy Volt LT plug-in from Simi Valley Chevy at the end of May. I was ready to fly up to San Jose for a lease deal that was one of the best deals in the State at that time. Had called a dozen dealers in Southern Cal. and only a few could come close. Then Simi Valley Chevy called back with great interest and the Sales Manager, Dario basically matched the deal over the phone. At the dealership, he bested that deal and we ended up with one of the best lease deals we have ever seen. Dario and his sales person Ed were honest and direct in the negotiation, and lived up to the terms of the deal right through to the finance guy. They were first class in our book. We were coming off of a Toyota Prius 3 lease which we thought was a great car until we got the Volt which has a better interior, is a quieter ride, and let's us stick it to the oil companies with the plug in capability. By the way, Toyota just did not seem to want to do great lease deals despite how many competitors they have. We have not had a Chevy since we came to California 40 years ago. Let me first say that the management has changed and there's new leadership in town that really gets it. They understand what customer service means. This dealership gave me a super rock bottom deal that Rydell, Bunnin, Keyes could not even come close to. When tried to call and compete with other dealerships they said there's no way we can beat that or get there, take the deal! I was taken care of by the GM personally. His name is Patrick and he is the new leader in town. There were only a handful of HOV carpool stickers left as I just purchased a new volt. Patrick flexed his muscle and went through loops and hoops to get me my carpool sticker when there were under 100 left in the state period! He would respond to my emails within 1 hr tops, I mean, the GM communicating this fast was so awesome. It was a great experience all around. The staff is really great too, even though it feels like an old school dealership, it's really not. They give you the personalized service and see if they can earn your business. If you're shopping around, don't skip over this dealership. They may be small and in Simi but they stomped on the big guys when it came to my new purchase experience. read more

I recently tried to buy a 2016 Chevy camaro 2ss from Simi Valley. I called ahead and told them what I specifically wanted, and the Internet sales lady told me the car I wanted was in stock. When I arrived on Wednesday 2/24 I was greeted by Fernando Mayen aka...(slick) we walked around back where the car was supposed to be but it wasn't there it was in service. I waited about 30 min till Fernando found the car. He brought the car around I jumped in and noticed this "new car" had 237 miles on it when I asked about it Fernando said it had a previous owner but the deal fell thru , but I should remember this specific camaro is limited edition. So after the test drive we went into his office to talk numbers. Fernando(slick) told me the car was originally sold for thousands over sticker price (which is illegal to begin with) and that I was getting the best deal for a much lower price. At the time I believed Fernando and signed the paperwork and said I would bring in the check in a few days - I was paying cash. Over the weekend I found the sticker price and realized I payed the new car price and that the car wasn't limited edition and I knew I was scammed. Luckily I didn't pay them yet and I was able to return the car which I literally just did. Before I returned the car though I called Fernando and exposed him for lying and his response was "I don't care if I work for free, you can give the car back I don't give a sh*t" and so I did. I've been looking for a specific package of Volt and I knew this was hard to find. I wanted that package because the price tag felt right. So I called number of dealers who didn't have the package and honestly told me without wasting anyone's time. Then I called Simi Valley and talked to Caroline (sales rep). This is when I was trapped. I told her exactly what I was looking for and the price I like to pay. I told her that this is a long and hard drive for me so I want to make sure they have the car and the price I am asking is reasonable and they can met. She was very reassuringly said they have that and even better package and the price is right what I am looking for. They sell these cars right around what I am asking anyways so that will not be a problem and told me to come over that day. I rushed from Culver City to La Crescenta to get my friend who also left work early (trade-in car was under his name) and rushed to Simi Valley before they close (that's 60 miles one way in LA traffic). But once I got there I noticed that Caroline didn't try to make any efforts and their manager was very rude and ignorant. He told me that the package I was looking for they don't have and the one they have is much higher price. He quoted about 40% more then what I originally discussed with Caroline. Then without looking at my trade-in car he quoted extremely low price. I told him that another Chevy dealer, after looking at the car in details, they quoted twice what he is quoting. He started badmouthing the other dealer. Then I told him that I understand the car they have has higher package and I am willing to go up on the price but not 40% even though I didn't need the options offered in the car. He did not budge on any of the offerings. In any case, we all felt lied to and cheated while we wanted to do honest business. Looks like they tried to use bait and switch technic which I really don't appreciate. This is a first time I wanted to buy Chevy (after 7 new European cars I've owned) and wanted to "test the waters". This maybe unfair to Chevy but if their cars are "as good as" this dealer's service, I would not want to touch it with a 10 feet pole. Sorry Chevy, but you lost more than just one customer. i can't speak for anyone else's deal, but our experience was excellent. i did my research in finding the vehicle that i wanted, with the options i was looking for and was led to Simi Valley Chevrolet. Not only did they lower the initial asking price by $1000, they were absolutely pleasant to work with. Jay was our salesperson and she has a very laid back "I'm here to take care of you" approach. We brought our own lender to the deal, which definitely helped make things easier. When it came down to trying to push additional options, Jay didn't push. she politely asked why not, then told us the finance manager may push... that never happened either. And i'm very glad for that. Jay's personality was funny and engaging, which is important when you're waiting for paperwork to print, etc. by the time we met with the Director in her office, i literally felt at home. it was wonderful. while i can't remember her name, i even have to give mention to how personable the Director is. most impressive though, is the aftercare. yesterday we received a package in the mail from Simi Valley Chevrolet... it was a box of chocolate chip cookies. a very nice touch that shows me this company understands customer loyalty and word of mouth business leads. classy. read more

I will never support Simi Valley Chevrolet. They are unethical, rude and try to scam you for all the money that they can. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had. To make a long story short, they told me that in order to buy my leased 2013 Camaro, a certification was mandatory. I did not want it and told them I didn't want the certification, yet they stated they could NOT sell me my own car until the certification was complete. Fast forward to two days later, they add an additional $1600 to the cost of my car! They never told me certification was $500 nor did they tell me that they were going to service my car and charge me $1,100 for something that I did not approve. The $1,100 was for changing an air filter and changing my oil, which I never authorized them to do. Oh and before I forget, Tom (being the idiot that he is) slipped out of his mouth that certification was not necessary but did it because "he could". They tried to cut a deal with me after I refused to sign the new contract telling me that they could go 50/50 with me. Now, I only owed $800 instead of $1,600. I refused because I never authorized for any type of service and I did not want the certification yet it was mandatory and I have to pay the $500 for it? I don't think so. After being harassed and yelled at by Tom and Charles (very disrespectful men) and leaving the dealership, I get a threatening call from Charles telling me that he called the police on me because I stole my car. End of story, I went to Chevrolet Glendale where I had such an amazing experience! Thank you to the gentleman who took care of me in Glendale, Danny and Tony! At the time I wrote this review, I was in the market for a used C6 Chevrolet Corvette. This dealership had advertised a 2009 used C6 Corvette on Autotrader on 10/8/2016. On 10/9/2016, I called the dealership, spoke to Carolyn, a manger, for the purpose of verifying the Corvette was at this dealership and that I could inspect, drive, and buy it. After leaving me on hold for several minutes, she confirmed the vehicle was there. 15 minutes later I then drove from Tarzana to Simi Valley to look at the car. Upon arrival, I was advised by a salesman that the vehicle was available but that it has just been traded in and I could not drive it. I implored him to reconsider. He left, went to talk to someone and then came back with Carolyn, who informed me that a "truck just picked up the Corvette." She then told me there was a second C6 on the lot, however, after going outside to look for it, of course that one wasn't there either. Carolyn then had the nerve to ask for my contact information so that their sales manager could call me if I came across another C6. I declined. I wasted roughly two hours of my Sunday due to Carolyn's complete incompetence. I will never do business with this dealership. read more

Was very pleased with the service of this facility. Had a incident happen the day my grandmother and I purchased her new Ford Focus. However the staff was able to fix our issues. The resolve took a bit but in the end our issues were taken care of. Very satisfied with the vehicle. It's very hard to please my grandmother; it's a refreshing change to see her actually happy to be driving her bright red Focus. I recommend Tom as a salesman and Mr. Parks (or his partner can't remember his name however he is a nice tall white guy that always wears a polo) if you should have any issues. However stay away from Anthony with finance. (Will not go into detail) If you're looking for a refreshing change from the norm of car buying look to Simi Valley Chevrolet. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE! No stars!!! I bought a 2014 Cruze from here in February 2015. I had to take it in (less then 1 month later) after the car had no power and the check engine light kept coming on. After "looking" at the car, The service guy (Don) treated me like I was an idiot and told me they found nothing wrong. I have since been back 2 more times (to Don) and still they found nothing wrong. Again, last week the car lost power and engine light came on. I finally decided to take it to Thousand Oaks Chevy and guess what? They found the problem!!! Their exact words to me were "I can't understand why they couldn't figure out that the turbo is bad and you have had an oil pan leak for quite a while". It was all covered under the warranty. This place has bad customer service and are just plain to lazy to actually fix the problem. I will NEVER buy anything thing from here nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

The first time we went there we bought a truck that had to be returned the next day and kept overnight because they forgot to put the TPMS sensors in the tires. 6 months later we decide to upgrade the truck and were told that we had credit challenges when we bought the first truck and they wouldn't even try to see if we could make it work. Went to Autonation Chevy in Valencia the next day and bought a Silverado Allstar Edition Crew Cab with absolutely no problems getting financed. Took this truck to Simi for an oil change and they don't have filters. The best selling vehicle they have and they don't have filters.
